Hi my name is Danielle, welcome to my True Crime and Makeup series! I’ve been interested in true crime for the longest time now, what started with me watching true crime on TV with my Nan from a young age eventually turned into studying for a degree in Law & Criminology.
When I first watched Bailey Sarian’s Mystery Makeup Monday series I was completely hooked, I loved how she had combined two of the things I’m most passionate about and delivered it so well. She totally inspired me to take the leap and do the same thing on my channel, so all credit for the idea goes 100% to her.
I’m from the UK and will be covering cases from both the UK and internationally, let me know if there are any cases that you’d like to see from me! More cases will be coming soon so please subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

Hi, I am Ukrainian and I watched a documentary about him. Onoprienko actually didn't choose villages at random. He moved from village to village during his killing spree because he wanted to make a bloody cross across the country. People call it the cross of Onoprienko. Also, I know a person who knows someone who met Onoprienko. My friend's aunt met him when she was young. She was on the market and Anatoliy offered her to buy shoes from him. He didn't have a stall or anything, he just stopped her in the middle of the market. So she got bad vibes from him and thought that he was sketchy, so she didn't follow him.

The mere fact that you got choked up discussing this case is beautiful to me. One thing that we sometimes do is tell a story and forget the lives lost. Especially when it comes to innocent children. The girls on Morbid have gotten choked up before (one is a mom) and Britney Vaughn has too (and has now banned stories about kids). One podcast I listen to says that if they ever get desensitized to the murders they speak of, they will stop. This isn't like just reporting the news. Anatoly's father could also have resented him for causing his mother's death. She passed from cancer when he was a year old. There's a high potential (especially in Soviet countries around this time period) that the doctors knew she had cancer, her husband knew she had cancer, and the doctors refused to treat her as she was pregnant.

Honestly, I highly doubt that since abortion was legal in USSR and is legal in Ukraine (contrary to popular belief, ex-communist countries usually had more liberal laws regarding women's reproductive rights). Therefore, there are no laws that would make the doctors refuse to give her treatment. I mean, it still is possible if it was really late in the pregnancy, or the treatment would be too risky for both of them, etc. But those reasons could apply to any country, it being in Ukraine, former USSR, doesn't have anything to do with it. She could have also refused it if it meant that she would have to terminate the pregnancy.

    • @monopinion8799

So many pregnant women do that choice. Very few husband react negatively that such as you suggest. You still be right!! I’m not denying it.

Obviously, I am not his therapist. I can say petty theft is a common reaction/coping mechanism for children who suffer loss and are institutionalized at a young age. It is about a sense of entitlement and trying to feel control especially when anxious. At a preverbal or very young age for processing emotions, their context was that life takes things from people. It's normal. Soto feel control when they feel shaky taking something - big or small. Becomes soothing.
After all from their perspective, death, the government and the world never paid any consequences and no one really cares. If people are sad or upset .. well like them as small children, they will get over it.
This is why it is important to root this kind of behavior out when kids display it. It doesn't naturally go away without dealing with it. It can become just being a predatory business person or greedy romantic partner or it can occasionally get worse and worse in what people rationalize is okay to steal.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
    Love your channel.

I loved your coverage of this case! As someone in law who comes from a post-soviet country - the "cages" were completely normal in our courtrooms and are still quite common not only for brutal crimes, but also for petty crimes. If someone is considered extremely dangerous they would be put in handcuffs and leg cuffs, but if public could get aggressive - the court room would be closed

A sawn-off shotgun is a type of shotgun with a shorter gun barrel-typically under 18 inches -and often a shortened or absent stock. Despite the colloquial term, barrels do not, strictly speaking, have to be shortened with a saw.
It doesn't make the weapon more powerful - the opposite, actually. What it does do is make it easier to carry and conceal.

Um let's not blame a 4-year-old child for being abandoned. God knows he had soooo many Adverse Childhood Affects, soooo much childhood trauma, probably lots we don't know about. Nothing in this world can excuse murder, never mind serial. But extreme, severe childhood trauma IS enough to cause that switch to flip. (I say this as someone with massive childhood trauma, and I've had tons of therapy and am on decent psych meds for trauma-related diagnoses; you need access to resources & healing to actually heal.) He became a literal monster, yes, but NO ONE is *born* evil, & believing the opposite is dangerous territory and has historically led to justifying horrific abuse of children.
