Had the "Original" MiA1 for 4 years, got the F2 pro another 4 years and now the F6 pro. All still working ,even the MiA1 after almost 9 years working fine. The F2 pro, still working perfectly, upgraded to F6 pro only for memory, love them.
I've had the phone for about a month now and haven't had any problems, but..... the battery isn't great. It never lasts a full day, I never use it for gaming so I'm surprised it'd flagging towards the end of the day.
A software optimisation should fix it on the run but I think this is pretty common for phones who have a very powerful chipset. It's similar to having a gaming laptop that it never lasts for a day on casual usage.
don't understand why they didn't put a snapadragon 8 gen 3 in the f6 pro considering the chinese equivalent which is the redmi k70 pro has an 8 gen 3. what a bunch of fools
Really sucks. Used to be 'flagship killers' had all the features they pull from big name flag ships, but it's really just a few years of hold out. Can't even get a screen without a hole in it anymore. The F2 Pro will was the last of its kind. 💀
It's a Qualcomm-equipped flagship/semi-flagship Xiaomi, though. You'll have custom ROMs to play around with for years. As an enthusiast phone, it's got a long and fruitful life ahead of it.
@@Admiral_Bongo thanks. I’ve got an lg v60 which OSS great for audio with its ess sabre quad dac and sd card slot, and removable second screen. It just doesn’t have any security updates. I’d keep this in preference to the Asus. It’s only the potential for years of security updates that would tempt me. Do you know what dac the ASUS uses?
@@AndrewUA-camhandle Can't say I do. Have been a Xiaomi fan for years, cause of the specs making them perfect for enthusiasts (lotta RAM, good CPUs, quality batteries, etc.). Most Xiaomi phones have Snapdragon Audio DAC or their in-house developed stuff. That said, I don't think phone DAC is that important nowadays. I mean, a combination of a custom ROM and a 3rd party player like Foobar 2000 will do 24/192 audio without an issue. Every sound card since the late 00s has been able to. There's a lot of snake oil in the DACs and that's coming from a sound engineer. Most records are mastered at 44.1k or 48k anyhow. So you wouldn't lose much with a cheap DAC, other than plain volume (thus the ability to handle high Ohm wired headphones). Either way, all I can say is that Asus makes good stuff (except they often have small batteries). You could also give Motorola a shot. Really shouldn't worry that much about security updates if you know your way around custom software. LineageOS and Paranoid Android have their own security stuff. And many other ROMs (CrDroid, Derpfest) are based on Lineage to begin with.
The problems of the Poco F6 Pro, the existence of smartphones like the OnePlus 11, the S23 Plus which are quite regularly found around $500-$600 in 2nd hand or refurbished on Amazon, the existence of the iQoo 12 in some markets, but especially the existence of the Poco F6.
Why would you compare a s23 plus 2nd Hand with a fully new Poco f6 pro? That makes absolutely No sense. S23+ has Just full HD Resolution, Same processor, and the Rest of the Specs nearby identic. The s23+ in Europe still costs new between 700 and 800€, while the Poco f6 pro can be found for 440€ Brand new with better Resolution, by half the price.
@@SxKooL_ The S23 Plus currently costs 600€ new, it has a better camera, better software, better software tracking, Dex, USB-C 3, wireless charging, iP 68... FHD has never killed anyone, and the Poco currently costs 500€ not 400.
I have easy 2 says. Even old F3 running day and half easy. And dude, you don't buy Poco F series for camera. You buy for performance. Before buying you need to sort it for what you need it actually.

Hey man before you say anything ask those who have them. Well I have poco f1, f2 pro, f3, f4 gt, f5 and everything is going great. Imagine f1 is currently running crdroid android 14 custom rom... What 2 years are you talking about????You are free to buy the A55 with 25w charging when the 2020 Poco f2 pro 4 years old model charges with 30w😂😂
I still have the POCO F3 and it still works so well, 3 years after buying it. Not sure why you're questioning the longevity. Unfortunately I have had 3 Samsung phones and each slow down too much to use over the first 18 months. I am definitely a Xiaomi fan :)

For 400usd phone with all those specs it's far from a flop. Iphone 16 with 60hz and slow charging for 800 usd is pure flop
video needs CCs for when watching in crowded place where earbuds or earphones are not available
maybe it's called blutooth.
Even if i don't use it, having no cable is a plus

hows the camera?
Same with my regular f6 as a casual gamer the battery drains fast, but the performace is top notch.

@@mdhafigurrahaman3441 you right. If they put gen 3 maybe that phone same price iqoo 12.
WHO CARES about the design ? you'll anyway put a plastic protection on it at day one, or else at day 2 to 7 it's gonna be glass broken

Hyia - sadly not, no 3.5mm port on this one.

How many years of OS and security updates? Track record of updates?
Not amazing - 3 major upgrades, 4 years of patches. I don't think they're typically the fastest at rolling those out either.

Are the cameras that bad? I bought pro version in hope of better camera?
the front cam sucks
The main camera can rival flagships but the others are all mid, just like every other pro midrange phone.
i am confused over the F6 and X6 models. which would be better ?
F6 100% is good
F models are better and more expensive but still cheap compared to similarly performing devices from other brands
