I have the same chair and wanting to build the exact same platform from the LivBay tutorial. However, how did you bolt the chair to the platform ?? I’m afraid of not bolting it and a client falling backward…
Hey! you can buy pipe hanger straps from home depo but they have to be the really wide ones. the bars under the chair are very weird sizes!
Are swivel recliners be a problem when lashing ???
Hmmm! they may be if clients move around it may cause them to swivel. But i never heard or seen lash artist use swivel ones so i’m not sure!
Thanks for an honest review.. the fact that it doesnt stay and the slightest move forward is what kills it as a choice for me.

However, I keep being disappointed that no one is covering the rest of the set up going with the recliner. This, to me, is the most important part and why I haven’t transitioned!
Where are you putting the lash trays and tweezers? Do you use a rolling table now?
We’re all creatures of habit and I learned lashing by using the space to the side(s) of the client’s head as my table when using a massage bed.
I can’t tell if I’ll like transitioning to a recliner when my hand will have to travel further and no one has covered this part.

I can do an updated video covering your concerns. i too learned to use the side of a clients head for my supplies and i still do with a recliner. But in all reality, it’s all personal preference and customized to each lash artist differently, what i may do or works for me may be different for you and many others!

hey! you can use pipe hanger straps! i got mine from home depo, you have to get big big sizes though as the bars under the recliner are weird sizes and lengths!

Has the leather on the chair peeled at all?.
nope! unless you put velcro (like i did) and try to remove it does but other than that i’ve has the chair for years and the leather is still great!

Hi, I am a new Lash Artist. I basically got a recliner and it doesn’t recline all the way to say my stomach so when a client that is 5’0-5’4 they are too short and do not reach the top of the recliner so I find that I am basically hunching over which is obviously very uncomfortable especially over long period of time and client after client so I was basically wondering if you have any suggestions on what I could do or if I need a Lash space because I hear that Lash basis basically help you if the client is too tall, but I’ve heard also makes reviews that it helps make the recliner go lower. I don’t really know what to believe just because I am and a lot of lash artist, I know use a massage table or a lash bed
hey! you can try the base as it will make the chair bigger for you but i don’t think that’s your main issue! i’ve tried other recliners since this post and if the chair is at an angle it will be an issue pretty much long term for you as far as body health and pain, but i would suggest if you don’t want to return the chair and buy a new one to maybe try booster seats!

What is the base for?
I mentioned in the video that I'm more short and having the chair without the base is a bit too low for me (back pains!) so the base helps raise it for me.
I would take the legs so chair can lay flat
You can definitely do that! i think it helps add some height for me as im very short!

Why do u need a base?
Hi! I talked a little bit of this in the video and it’s just preference, the recliner itself sits pretty low so the base gives it some more height that’s perfect for me!
