What an inspiring gentleman! My compliments to Evan who knows to tell stories. The dates you can look up in the literature (e.g. the presentation of the Shadow II to the press in February 1977).

I have a question for Evan Morgans; in the early '70s when I was in High School, I would buy the Sunday NY Times (75 cents) and look in the magazine section. About once a month Rolls-Royce would advertise in there showing the front of a Beautiful Rolls-Royce. I know he was with public relations, but does he remember that advertising?
Ma786sai Dua Indeed “no other car” in this world no matter how hallowed the marque can grant its fortunate owner the kind of unbridled intangible ecstasy that a Rolls easily and effortlessly grants its owner each and every time for a lifetime
Ma786sai Dua utterly fascinating. What a blessed blessing as a fortunate owner of this hallowed marque, to carefully listen-in to vital timeless aspects unique and special Only to a Rolls-Royce. Indeed I other car might grant the inner intangible unspeakable feel that a Rolls easily, instantly grants its owner each and every time one is blessed enough to place yourself behind its steering-wheel. Gazing down at that diminutive cherubim Goddess up front.
Mostly correct but as he admits, he's not a technical guy. His advice of how to remove lacquer from the woodwork was incorrect and it cracks because that the nature of the polyester clear. There are ways to extend its life but for many those options are limited. His story about Malaysia was interesting. holding hands is enough to get you arrested there now let alone topless women. These would have been the aboriginal people who are small in number and still live in the forests. Penang never had a King, possibly he was referring to the Governor.
@@rolls-royceandbentleybuyer8409 Easy to check, Penang doesn't have a monarch and of the Malaysian states that do, only one is KIng. This is something they take in turns serving as King for five years. I'd leave him to his memories, I'm sure they're true even if a little mixed up. The Governor would likely have been concerned at cine film footage like this because Malaysia likes to be very selective in how it's portrayed. The '90s movie "Entrapment" with Sean Connery shows the then newly built Petronas Towers filmed from a slum and the then Prime Minister was livid. Malaysia has a number of aboriginal groups collectively termed Orang Asli or Orang Laut but I'd suggest whoever he saw were not from the Island of Penang but from mainland Penang state. They generally keep to themselves, more so then. The Malays consider them as dirt and 4th class citizens. Again, a reason the Governor would have wanted the film. When you reach a certain level you get to travel to work on these cars around the world. It can have some real benefits but can also be risky. It's a good idea to keep a diary to preserve events. Rolls-Royce motor cars turn up in the oddest of places and because many are bought with illicit money can't be taken to local dealers, that is even if one exists. Flying people in is the only way to maintain them.
I would love to hear and learn much more by Mr, Morgans. perfekt interview!
Yes, I also would like to hear more stories about Rolls-Royce, in the '70s
A well learned vedio about theses cars.I learned a lot and tempted to buy one in the future 😀.
When ever you become ready, let me know, I can guide you thru the purchase process.👍🇬🇧
@@rolls-royceandbentleybuyer8409 Thank You Sir.

Thank-You!!🇬🇧
The Shadow II would have been around in testing months before so from his perspective 1976 was correct.
@@byteme9718 Of course, the Shadow II was tested even before 1976.

A very interesting chap. (UK)
I would just recommend to drop the background music during such intervwies. This distracts a little bit from what you both have to say.
