      In Malta we have folk singing called għana.
      There are 3 surviving kinds of Għana. Għana tal-fatt (usually about a sad fact or story); għana spirtu pront (singers duking it out in twos and inventing the lyrics on the spot); then Għana la Bormliża also known as Għana fil-Għoli.

      Then we have this great example of Għana Spirtu Pront. All singers are really good in this bout. I like this video in particular because the first couple are doing it as it should be, taking jibes jokingly at each other, unfortunately in the second couple, the second singer is offended about something that happened before and is basically a party pooper here.
