Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this UA-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Hit is the most tiring choreography of seventeen but not the hardest...
According to them, the most tiring is Home;run, but they mentioned that Hit is one of the hardest if not the hardest because it makes them dance really hard like to the point of breaking their bones. ^^
Yeah it requires a lot of stamina but they said home;run is on par because even when it wasn’t their turn they had to keep doing something. So there was barely any breathers for them
hit is more energy-powered, home;run requires agility and getting closer needs a lot of speed control
jun was actually the one in the white shirt who you pointed out a couple times in the choreo video! he's my bias so I'm really glad you're noticing him ^^
also seventeen have said that hit is their hardest choreo in terms of energy do I'd say that's a fair assessment to make! before hit was released they'd usually say call call call was the most difficult/energy consuming choreo so that might be second
as for a guide i recommend a guide to seventeen: the movie! it is long but it's really well done and a lot of reactors break it into several parts (there's also a 'scene selection' in the form of time stamps you can use!)

At the beginning, you said that you started to notice Jun. During the music video, you said "he's kinda cute" TO JUN. And during the dance practice, you said that you kept staring AT JUN. It's fate!!! I guess your bias is Jun then.
If you like this kind of energetic songs I highly recommend you SEVENTEEN - Call Call Call the synchronization will blow your mind it's really impressive!!!

Jun is so amazing, he really owned this era! It’s hard to notice but some members almost dance the entire song, jeonghan I’m pretty sure has a walking break to his next position but really no actual break through the whole song. The chorus is already tiring enough lol

@@rhinem8325I was talking in general. Even fear deserved to win. But normally when voting you vote for the whole year regardless of the song nominated.
I am a moomoo and hip was not a vocal song but Mamamoo was still nominated for that (because they are known as vocalist and have done great that year).
I personally think that SVT should really win all dance of year every year just like MMM does with vocals.
They deserve it!

@@eleni3979 don't get me wrong, i absolutely think svt deserved it; more than anyone. to me, there is no one else who has that passion, love and professionalism towards performance and music as a combination. svt does not think music is just something that is experienced through hearing but also visually; they work hard to express their message and story through their performance. IMO that is why their musicality is top notch. That year, fear was phenomenal imo and w it, i think they deserved to win. And speaking in general, they deserve the award too for all they did in 2019. i actually am quite upset at how they were robbed in terms of award season for 2019/2020. 2019 had YMMDawn with 3/6 songs that had an ot13 performance stage; one of which was previewed at mama 2018, the amazing dance competition worthy getting closer. Even though it was previewed on a end of year 2018 stage, it was released in 2019! Home was well loved and held its own as a performance! Then with An Ode, that album was amazing yet hardly recognized at the awards. it was an eclectic album that showed different sides to them they had not revealed such as Fear, Hit, etc. But alas when voting happens, fanbases now just vote for their artist regardless of the title/award deserved or not. It has become an issue wherein it's no longer a true appreciation of kpop. anyway, i'm not a huge fan of k award voting. in the end as a stan of an artist within the kpop industry, i do my best for voting in my time but my approach is to take these awards w a grain of salt when fan voting is involved. in the end, mama is mama; they're snakes and very skewed.

@@eleni3979 Well that's why Seventeen tells carats that they do it bc they love music and performing and they love carats. the awards are a bonus and they thank carats for them 🥺 like if minghao thinks that it's not a great use of time to be doing the weaving kit that was part of their semicolon special album, imagine what he'd say about voting and streaming 😭😂 And as much as it feels hopeless to vote, i hope you and others can contribute what you can towards seventeen's BBMA nomination this year (voting starts may 10; but no news on what the rules are yet). i don't really care if seventeen doesn't win but i do want them to do well bc it is their first time being nomination on a major american award. if carats don't take it seriously, i'm concerned it would not reflect well on seventeen to bb. i've been seeing carats voicing being discouraged but imo winning isn't what really matters, it's to show respect to the nomination that seventeen has received from bbma. i hope carats can put our best foot forward for seventeen~ ofc never neglect yourself for seventeen; they never want us to put them before ourselves, but let's do our best for them

i've always seen this song as like... seventeen saying "okay y'all know we have cool creative choreo and amazing synchronization. we want to show you just how much freakin POWER we have, so enjoy this loud song that is an excuse for us to push our limits even further and show off!!!!" they say it's their most exhausting choreo (though recently they've actually said that home;run is on par with hit!!) so if seventeen thinks this song is hard... it says a lot. LOL. i was like breathless the first time i watched this. it's... SO much. i love it
Definitely check out Getting Closer next. Seventeen has said that the choreo for that makes them want to throw up by the end of it.

The blonde in the middle during the starting choreo that you pointed out is Jeonghan (my longtime bias!) but Jun is one of my bias wreckers. They are all such amazing dancers!
This is said to be one of their hardest dances because it is very tiring, I've also seen dancers ranking svt choreos and this is always in the top five hardest dances also Jun is the person you always point out. The man in white in the dance practice. His voice is also very good so if you wanted to know more about seventeen, please do the seventeen guide: movie because that is very informative, they've also included identifiable features of the members so it is very helpful. That is very long but you can divide it as many as you want and we will still watch it (only if you will post it, but if not it's also okay), for me, the subpar guide is the most famous one, but it is a bit old already, there are a lot of old jokes, not updated and not that informative. Also, Getting closer is one of my favorite choreos sooo I recommend that.

The blond guy at the very beginning, who guided the consecutive sections of choreography, is Jeonghan. He is considered the laziest member and he himself said that he is the slowest member to learn the moves. But in this choreo he is the only one that has no breathing time at all! I don't know if his amount of center time is an acknowledgement of his qualities or a punishment!!! Knowing Seventeen, it could be both! All Carats will understand me when I say that here he couldn't even cheat!!! Love from an Italian Carat mom ❤️🇮🇹🥕🙋

For me the most aesthetically pleasing performance Seventeen have done was by their performance unit called Lilili Yabbay which was filmed on location as a one shot, but one of the best dance performances' they did was with NU'EST W called 'Heaven' where there are actually seventeen members all together and the formations are incredible!
You should do a deep dive into some of Pledis's other groups because the one thing Pledis does right is dance performances they also managed IZ*ONE for their early releases and Fromis_9.
Some suggestions would be Nu'est Bet Bet, After School First Love which incorporates pole dancing, Orange Caramel Catallena they are a sub unit of After School and the dance practice is fun, Pristin Black Widow and Fromis_9 Feel Good.
A bit long but their movie guide is probably the best and one of the most up to date guides!!

Awesome!!!! Funnily enough, Vernon used to be one of my biases in Seventeen (first Seungkwan, and then Hoshi, and then Vernon joined them) but then at some point Vernon stopped being my bias and Jun became one of my ults!!! I just thought that was interesting lol.

Yes, HIT is def on the top of the choreo that's most hard-hitting and energetic. That's accdg to SVT themselves. This one plus Call Call Call and Getting Closer. The latest addition to what makes them breathless was Home;Run, more because of there's not much venue to rest in the whole choreo.

And yes, "A Seventeen guide: the movie" is a wonderful guide. But if you just want a quick introduction, the hansolix's guide is good enough. Another great way to get to know them is the docuseries "Hit The Road", which is a behind the scenes of their latest world tour. There are 13 episodes, one for each member, plus a prologue and an epilogue. They are all very short, so you could even watch two or three episodes in a single reaction. It's a very deep and moving series that shows the members' thoughts, their feelings towards each other and their enormous dedication to their work ( and large involvement in what they do, taking their title of self producing idols to a new height). And please, don't be afraid that longer videos won't be watched, we love them instead! I don't know if my English is comprehensible enough even if I hope so, I'm Italian after all, so please forgive my errors, please. Love from an Italian Carat mom ❤️🇮🇹🥕🙋
