What is the video quality you rendering 4k? I just do a test on my newly purchased m3 pro. A 34 min video need 25min + . The video was filmed at 4k 30 fps. I export at h264 mp4 format using capcut. Your 13 min video done in less than 4 min is thundering fast to me. I m kind of search what is the reasonable rendering speed of a m3 pro chip.

if you render in h264 or pro res...the differences are few because they all have the hardware decoder...m1 m2 m3...

I render in h265 and youre absolutely right, theyre all super fast...

I've sent the Pro Max M3 back and am still super happy with my Air M1... - sometimes its of course a bit slower when rendering, but it doesnt justify the price upgrade of 3400€. I could buy 4 Macbook M1 Airs for that price - and handle them with ease - not needing to take care like its gold every time I pick it up ^^

Thank you for sharing. Good news for you that Apple Laptops hold their value pretty well and they also enjoy long time updates from the manufacturer. So, they are "better" investment compared to Windows machines.

I think the m3 pro chip 18gb 512gb version is good for you

18gb Ram are nothing for video editing is slow asf and at least 1tb ssd whit 512gb as well slow asf
32gb ram are recommend for a better work flow and 1 or 2 TB ssd
