The story behind this mv is more like, he and his lover had a certain status difference, so they were buried apart. He had his trusted warriors, who resurrected him, with which he then went to resurrect his lover and they went back together then
Think more like Romeo and Juliet where he fell for ruler's Lady and Jackson's character and her died, he rose, and brought her back and them going on to eternity together... be sure to watch the making of it. He literally does it all including being involved in all the choreo, storyline, blocking, directing, producing, etc. His self-confessed hyperactivity has him never stopping.
Riiiiiight 😉? Because it marries perfectly between linton's taking control of time and Jackson's original take. Their love as soul mates will transcend time and death, no matter when they will come together.
From what I understood this mv is based on an old Chinese? tale. Where a great general is raised from the dead by his most loyal followers and they give him a magical armor. His followers sacrifice themselves so he can raise his dead lover, only so he can rest in peace together with her.
Jackson is very into representing his Chinese/Hong Kong culture, thus the setting for this video. If you watch his "PRETTY PLEASE" and "LMLY" videos, he uses an old Hong Kong/ Chinese movie vibe. Also, the same actress in 100 Ways is also in "Pretty Please".
I always love hearing different interpretations to songs. The artists always have an idea in their head if what it is but I think they always appreciate when people break down what it means to them too!
god, I wish I could think so deep about a song as you!!! I watch other videos of yours and I very happy that you took your time to search about thinks that are said in the MVs. Please continue with your hard work. you'r amazing and have a lot of good perspectives and philosophies to share. I hope you get bigger in the future, so that you can spread more good things in the world
Jackson usually does bts for all his videos and goes very in depth on the stories he tells. One thing he loves to do is tell stories with Chinese lore. If I remember correctly him and the girl are of different caste and he has his warriors bring him back to life (the beginning scenes) so that he can bring her back and spend eternity together without their statuses separating them. He’s very hands on in all his videos and the story they tell and makes sure to stay as authentic to Chinese culture which I love. You never have to worry about “appropriation” conversations around Jackson. Just hard work and dedication to his art
Helloo! I really love the way you go deep in the meanings of the songs, its not like "I like or not", you see the art and talk about it! I really like this about you videos
I Love Everything about Jackson! He’s amazing! His raspy vocal tone, his humor, his huge heart! You would LOVE picking apart Bullet to the Heart by Jackson! And I am here because you reacted to a request I made off discord ages ago for ONF Sukhumvit Swimming ♥️ thank you for that. ONF has a new song out called Ugly Dance that I’d Love for you to see!
4:18 bruvvv the one and only KINJAZ ! He’s became friends with them and worked with them on a lot of his choreos and performances. The KINJAZ also choreographed GOT7’s lullaby. Their choreos are honestly sooo good and Jackson really mastered really getting totally in synch with them Jackson also performed a couple of times with the JABBAWOCKEEZ !
The way I found your channel? I loved and appreciated your reaction to Bobby’s “U Mad?” and I stay bc of the unique insight and perspective you bring to each song you review. I barely even look at the lyric translations most times, but you motivated me into thinking more about it (esp with k-hip hop and k-rnb music).
Jackson Jackson…. First time get to know him through his goofy cheerful personality on variety reality show “Roommates”, where’s celebrities staying together under a single roof but then lost track after that. Look like he doing great in between these years and I gotta catch up with all his nice songs and especially MVs. And how I get to know your channel? By chance? Or UA-cam algorithms to thanks to…? Bewhy Challan review is the first video I saw as it recommended at side while watching on Bewhy challan mv, subscribed immediately and watching your channel growing since then
As an army i love that you're doing Jackson!!! I love him as a person and as an artist. And i love this song, mv, choreo, and the kinjaz (the dancers) .
I genuinely love your reactions cause it’s like I see myself getting excited about the little details and work they put into the songs. Cause most reactors don’t take the time to truly look for the meaning in songs, when music is a lenguaje and not just sound :)
How I found your channel? It was one of you BTS reactions. I looked at some of you other reactions. I liked how you broke things down and analyzed them. I appreciate that you are respectful of the cultures, try to see it through a different lens than your own. I love Jackson Wang, and he is my favorite solo artist. I found him through BTS as well. I like his music, and his visual storytelling.
Couldn’t quite remember what was the first video I watch from you but it’s probably one of B.I’s reactions I stay because I like how you interpret the meanings behind the songs and MVs You seem like someone who is quite wise in my opinion
@Linton Wilson, your interpretation it is interesting but to actually delve into Jackson Wang’s discography especially his solo projects I hope you would react all the way to the end of the music video because Jackson Wang does a lot of behind the scenes and explanation of the video and what it means during the end credits! This music video is based on a ancient Chinese fairytale, Jackson Wang is a fallin’ general and his soldiers have a ritual as you know with the choreography there are certain movements that look like a ancient ritual and the soldiers bring back the general during his life he was unable to be with his intended love because of her class status is different and the Soldiers and the upper class in Chinese were not supposed to mix but in this tale Jackson Wang falls in love with someone outside of his cast! His soldiers do the ritual he is risen from the ground resurrected to find her she was buried by her family so that no one knew where she was the soldiers knew and proceeded to raise them from the dead their beloved general. The soldiers sacrificed themselves because you see them fall away onto the ground after Jackson Wang performs the ritual to raise his beloved from the dead as they meet they have this dance of love and reunited Jackson Wang does the ritual again with the hand gestures and they both live in the afterlife together as they descend down into the fog and back into the earth! Now there are different interpretations of this music video but this is the closest one that I have come across that actually what Jackson Wang is trying to portray here he also has other music videos that take place in a different centuries that are kind of connected to each other that’s why I was hoping that you would go to the very end of the credits so that you can see Jackson Wang explanation. But your breakdown is a very interesting and thought-provoking concept!😊
I really am enjoying your reactions, you kept showing up in my recommended videos. I got into BTS because of the substance of their lyrics, so it was a no brainer to follow you because I like substance in reactions. I am also a Jackson Wang fan. 100 Ways is one of my favorites, but it was Bullet to the Heart that drew me in to his music. The MV for that is directed by the same director of 100 Ways.
I love your content. You actually give a deeper perspective on the artist that you react too which is quite insightful. I found your channel by my recommendation page. I believe I was watching another UA-cam reaction video and your page came up. You were reacting to BTS "Film Out". I enjoyed your take of the song and video, so I've been watching you ever since then.
Hi Linton your deep analysis of the MVs, of music and your jokes as well show me that your reactions are gold and goals for me as well with my own personality and that what make me come back again and again and again and watch until the end because I feel that you really dive deep, respect the artists and share love and support I appreciate that so much ;)
Jackson said this is basically ancient Chinese Romeo and Juliet. The legend of a king of had his guards willing to sacrifice themselves to bring his lover back to him so tha they could rest forever together even in death.
Well, as you know, I stay for more than one reason (and if I didn't watch until the end, this old "Auntie" would not have seen that precious baby....oh my goodness; my poor heart). Yes, I'm glad it wasn't "100 Ways to Die"....LOL. (Are you old enough to remember "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover?") I'm happy you enjoyed this, and had fun. It also makes me pleased to hear him sing. This is one of those videos that gives you the three-minute movie experience. I'm sure they've all already explained the plot in the comments -- by any chance, did you catch the callback/Easter egg to "Papillion?" Have a great day.🤗
how did i find you.... that's a real good question! i think i just bumped into your reaction for treasure... it was when you had just a few reaction videos in your channel and i loved your purity of a reaction back then. that made me keep an eye one you and I'm not regretting it ♡
Also the song is more about telling someone to leave their current lover whom they are unhappy with because he is who they should be with. “Let them say it how they want If I can love you good, it's no one's fault”. To add to that the mv shows Star crossed lovers reunited after death
@Numi, yes I agree with you a lot of reactors on the UA-cam That have a tendency to cut music videos short and when it comes to Jackson Wang you shouldn’t do that because he has like you said a lot of behind the scenes video and concepts explanation of the music video hopefully they will read our comments and take the advice!😊🙏🏼
I love your analysis of the song and the video. Jackson does explain all of it, but to find out you need to watch the other video connected to this one called "Pretty Please." Oh and the Kinjaz choreographed this and Pretty Please they are also the "Monks" as you put it and his friends in the next one...check out Pretty Please, oh and when the video is finished, don't stop it...its worth it...promise
The "dancers" are part of KINZIE, a dance troupe out of LA but Jackson has actually performed with them in China. They have also opened a branch in China. Watch some of their stuff on KINZIE's UA-cam channel and Jackson's.
In the ancient China, like all the wars, warriors and generals died on battlefields and left their love ones behind. This general had his 4 loyal soldiers using ancient Taoism-like ritual to brought him back, and he travelled to where his loved one buried, and brought her back, then burry together, in Chinese is called "合葬" (he zang), to have happily ever after in an incarnation sense.
Definitely found you from your reaction to Chanmina's "Bijin" and completely stayed since. I love how you disect the meanings and when you speak, you're directing it to your followers, it's very charming. Most reaction vids I see from other content creators is pretty bland, or funny but non engaging. I won't lie, if I'm working and can't find anything to listen to I play your videos.
You'd get a kick out of his other MV to "100 Ways" 😉 and then he has a collaboration out called "California". He does not get the regenition he deserves in my opinion. Thanks for your amazing reviews!!
Hi Linton, Love all your reactions especially for BTS & Jackson Wang. I enjoyed listening your perspective. It helps my understanding better of seeing/ knowing the unseen/unknown aspect. Respect to you
Here to the end. I found you through your BTS reaction. Then today, I was listening to a reaction for Jackson Wang’s Blow and your reaction came up for Titanic and a 100 ways.
There are many theories as to what this song means but the most prominent theory is that they were not able to be together in life so they found each other in death.
You showed up in my recommendations cuz J Wang is in my play list cuz I’m streaming BTS 💜 new song. He’s a friend of RMs so gotta support what he does, it helps I really like his music 🎼
Just found your channel yesterday but I can say that you became my favorite reactor and reviewer. You give so insightful reviews and I appreciate that! Thanks a lot.

Once you stopped reacting to BTS, I generally unsubscribe, but there are a few that earn my loyalty. I like you so here I am
china is coming forward in music way, Jackson works a lot on his own solo music and it is inspiring, there is another china music genius who makes almost EVERYTHING by himself, he is a music director, pd, composer, choreographer and 70% lyrics. he is also one of Jackson friends and also has his own music studio, his name is Zhang Yixing (EXO's LAY), if you are interested you can check his recent works, majestic Lay's "Lit" mv and after "flying apsaras" (better start from lit) Titanic of jackson wang did bring me to your channel, i was hopping to see some appreciation to the bars of his song. and i've got it from you. so thanks. and please check on Lay and more Jackson, they are crazy for doing a lot of staff by themselves. the inly one who i can tell is more hardworking then Jackson is Lay .... but maybe it is because he is not a human being... i don't know)

love the reaction and i always love different interpretations of ppl to jackson's songs/mvs cus ppl view things in their own ways, but bruh the concept of the song aint really that deep lol, basically just an ancient chinese romeo & juliet type of story, where the soldiers brought the general back to live so that he can in turn brings his long lost dead lover to life so their can finally be together in the afterlife
I love watching you reaction to Mamamoo and since then I kinda hope you would discover GOT7's discography too. and yea, I'm happy to see your reaction to their ENCORE but you stopped there damn it! and now you're finally get into their solos, are you tho? 😂 jk. subscribed✔
Please react - Jackson wang ft afgan = MIA - jackson wang ft rich brian = titanic - jackson wang = cruel Dingo killing verse = - rich brian - warren hue

Linton you're my new favorite kpop reactor❤️
Awww.... High praise, indeed! ♡
Try Jackson's collaboration with Rain. The title of the song is Magnetic.
This song is a masterpiece ♡
Yes Jackson Wang is a very talented young man!!!! 💜💜💜 He is from China, and a korean idol!

You should watch Jackson videos until the very end! He often puts behind the scenes/making of footage and talks about the concept of the videos!
Also the song is more about telling someone to leave their current lover whom they are unhappy with because he is who they should be with. “Let them say it how they want

Apology, autocorrect failed me... it is KINJAZ.
Ok I’m definitely recommending Pretty Please, LMLY and Bullet to the Heart
i see jackson wang, i click.
thank you for reacting to 100 ways!

Jackson always brings some amazing music and performances 🥰🖤
I found you in my recommendations and now I can only watch your reactions
I love this song ... Jackson is amazing

You'd get a kick out of his other MV to "100 Ways" 😉 and then he has a collaboration out called "California". He does not get the regenition he deserves in my opinion. Thanks for your amazing reviews!!
Jackson is amazing 🥰👍👏
Hi Linton, Love all your reactions especially for BTS & Jackson Wang. I enjoyed listening your perspective. It helps my understanding better of seeing/ knowing the unseen/unknown aspect. Respect to you
You'd love his song bullet to the heart too! It's got a lot of lyrical gems 💎
Song is a banger 🔥
Here to the end. I found you through your BTS reaction. Then today, I was listening to a reaction for Jackson Wang’s Blow and your reaction came up for Titanic and a 100 ways.
Another one of Jackson's songs that I'd highly reccommend is Bullet to the Heart 🙏
There are many theories as to what this song means but the most prominent theory is that they were not able to be together in life so they found each other in death.
Love your reactions
You showed up in my recommendations cuz J Wang is in my play list cuz I’m streaming BTS 💜 new song. He’s a friend of RMs so gotta support what he does, it helps I really like his music 🎼

You should react to Bullet to the heart by Jackson is a amazing video
china is coming forward in music way, Jackson works a lot on his own solo music and it is inspiring, there is another china music genius who makes almost EVERYTHING by himself, he is a music director, pd, composer, choreographer and 70% lyrics. he is also one of Jackson friends and also has his own music studio, his name is Zhang Yixing (EXO's LAY), if you are interested you can check his recent works, majestic Lay's "Lit" mv and after "flying apsaras" (better start from lit)
