This is what they need in every town in the USA, maybe people wouldn't have so much graffiti on there fences, homes, and businesses. Just make a field of nothing, but old cars right outside of town. There is beauty in some graffiti, but not all. Thank you, you do get around, great videos, in all you do.
that piece of metal is part of an old catwalk like you see on mining tipples or gas wells. looks to be the ones that are used on gas well storage tanks.
I’ve watched several videos of this place and have seen the artwork change on the vehicles. But this is the first time I’ve seen the tunnel. Thanks for sharing, this place is on my bucket list.
Between movie locations , the oldest saloon in Nevada, the Florence Mine theirs plenty to film in Goldfield. I stayed there for 3 days this last August.
LOL. Car forest is cool. It reminds me of the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. I saw that in the late 70s. But this place is cool because they are kind of all over. Thanks for the cool upload!
Surprising that the land and cars are will maintain owner of the land must take pride in the art. Beautiful and unique. Best sunset I've seen. Stay safe.
At about 10 minutes in, the older contraptions you are seeing are mining equipment, just like that big hole in the side of the (small) mountain or mesa. Silver-mining, on the cheap, Nevada-style.
You totally should have gone in that tunnel, what kind of explorer are you? I'm just kidding, I love your videos. I do really wanna know where that tunnel goes, tho....
Oh, and take more time there... when there's more light (!) ya know 😬 I would really like to see all of it, ya know? I'm not kidding ya... if he would have got there in the morning --- we'd all be happy ☺including him! 🙋♂️😁
@@MobileInstinct It wouldn't be too wise to go in something like that when you are alone. If you were alone you made a good decision not to. I enjoy your vids very much.🙂
Good place to have a Wasteland Weekend, that gathering of Mad Max fans in their Road Warrior costumes and mutant vehicles that happens every September in the Mojave Desert. This would be a great locale for such an event.
The juxtaposition between nature and man made is quite startling here. Although I will always prefer to see nature untouched by mankind, this is quite a visual feast. Stonehenge (England) is awesome and cannot be surpassed IMHO.
I like the quiet, reverent way you view locations. This particular location is a weak copy of the Cadillac Ranch, though. But I am enjoying your perspective.
Installations like this always make me contemplate about what people after "The Apocalypse" in a hundred years will think of it and us, their silly ancestors. 😅
@Gallant Zodiac maybe underground, DEEP underground, but there would have to be infrastructure already in place and enormous caches of water, air, and MREs. And toilet paper.
Awesome video Chris thanks for sharing looks peaceful out there from a viewers vantage point that is. Chris would you ever consider doing a live youtube video in the future just curious? Love your channel man keep it up content is great!
I love it. I do like cool graffiti. Some people are real artist. The stupid stuff, like body parts, nazi symbols and swearing, not so much. Thanks for showing this to us!
Odd fact: Although it's actually a stealth _bomber_ (no air-to-air weapons, just Smart Bombs), they named it a "Fighter" because Air Force fighter pilots look down their noses at bombers. Amazing aircraft (and much less expensive than the B-2 Spirit, which is also amazing.) Stay safe.
That mysterious tunnel you thought 'night be a mining attempt' is actually where the "TREMORS" worm lives ! Good you got out of there before dark !
Twisted. The name of the game is "Twisted Metal"!
Twisted Metal! Hell yea I use to love that game!
That game was awesome!!
Twisted Metal! Such a great game.
And the character he was thinking of is Sweet Tooth the clown.
Was a very kewl game, played it for 100's of hours with my kids in the 90's . No clue how much they played it without me !
Really cool place and Twisted Metal is a classic. Used to love it and Vigilante 8.
Do you remember impact racing ?
Vigilante 8 was my jam in Elementary school. Loved that game.
Some of these vehicles are damn cool, like the 60s Chrysler airport taxi atop the 60 Chevy bread truck. And the old Dodge van.

I agree. Some people need a place where they can just be themselves without damaging or destroying property and going to jail 🙂
Those old cars have value therefor its a nono

Thanks!

So somebody had some gas tanks buried out there, moved them and left the hole. Thanks,I was befuddled.
Who don’t like Road side attractions like the Worlds largest rubber band ball.
I remember that from the original Ben 10 tv show
I’ve watched several videos of this place and have seen the artwork change on the vehicles. But this is the first time I’ve seen the tunnel. Thanks for sharing, this place is on my bucket list.
I have lived in the American southwest for over 3 decades now, between NV and AZ. The scenery and sunsets are indescribable.
Thank you from a 57 year old in champaign Illinois. That is so awesome.
Between movie locations , the oldest saloon in Nevada, the Florence Mine theirs plenty to film in Goldfield. I stayed there for 3 days this last August.
That's not the casting couch, that's the old Bang bus. 🤣
LOLIMON!! (Laughing Out Loud in [the] Middle Of [the] Night!!)
@silver moon I remember a few of them in the paddocks overnight during my racing days! (This applied to vans, too.) :=)
Awe, Twisted Metal for Ps1, loved that game!!!
Am so in love with your voice and personality is so nice to tag along.
Bloody amazing place mate, cheers for posting from UK, looks a dry area, someone's left that water for those in need
When I was traveling down Route 66 me and a few buddies stopped by Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. Same type of theme as this place.
The graffiti is just beautiful, with all its bright colors. The cars make a great canvas. Both the art AND the canvases are cool.
Very cool reminds me of the Cadillac's in the dirt. The game you were speaking of is Twisted Metal.
LOL. Car forest is cool. It reminds me of the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. I saw that in the late 70s. But this place is cool because they are kind of all over. Thanks for the cool upload!
I was there in the late 70's too!! All in a row spaced apart perfectly. So cool
Thank you for showing me so much I couldn’t possibly see when I drove across America!
Just like you said, that place looks like it may have been an old mining site, just the way that tunnel looked and that equipment lying around.
I knew you would be drawn to the tunnel as soon as I saw it. I'm glad you didn't venture down into it.
Surprising that the land and cars are will maintain owner of the land must take pride in the art. Beautiful and unique. Best sunset I've seen. Stay safe.
Awesome again. The best ones are the ones where the enthusiasm and joy for what you are doing shines through.
SWEET TOOTH was the name of that truck in Twisted Metal! 👍👍👍
Thanks for taking me along with you!!! From cold Britain, how beautiful was the sunset !!! Ps first time to a car forest, great video!!!! 🐕🐕🐕🐕
I always thought it was Interesting seeing old broken down cars and thinking about the stories they hold from the days they were new and running
I missed this place too 3 months ago when I did the drive around the test site
Ps 2 twisted metal and the clown character was sweet tooth. Hands down one of my favorite vintage games to play. That game was a part of my childhood

Reminds me of Cadillac ranch
Keep on trucking brother! I will keep watching and hitting that 👍 button.
Reminds me a bit of Cadillac ranch in Texas
You need to go see Bishops Castle in Colorado (if you haven't already). Jim Bishop build a castle in the mountain. A giant medieval castle.
One of the best channels on U TUBE,

Totally agreed!
Another great video as usual. Thanks and I must mention how much this helps during a pandemic.
Love your work, love travelling with you!!!! From Britain!!!!!!
I am loving your southwest adventures!

Thank you once again for making my day. I truly love your videos. Have a great Thanksgiving next week.
One of these days I would love to see a behind the scenes of how you plan your trips and everything.
I really just kind of wing it haha. But I have saved ideas for every state
Hey buddy. Been watching all your videos for quite some time. Just wanna show my support for you!! You deserve it with all the amazing videos!
I now have a destination to check out. Good excuse for a motorcycle ride.
7:26 hey that's the scooby doo van express💯💯👌👌😂😊

Very interesting. Fun place to explore.
Thanks for sharing. 👍 👍 👍
The game was twisted metal and your right you picked the perfect time to visit. Look amazing 👏
Twisted metal a classic game from my childhood
Another thing that struck me is just how quiet it is there.
Cadillac Ranch is pretty cool.
Looks like a cool place for a music video.
Twisted Metal is the game. The clown was Sweet Tooth. Was one of my favorite characters next to Darkside.
no clue what some of that stuff was but this is a cool video! thanks for bringing us along!
Chris, it was called twisted metal
Your thinking of twisted metal for the video game. Great video.
Just found your channel. Subscribed and binge watching!
Thanks Amanda!
Installations like this always make me contemplate about what people after "The Apocalypse" in a hundred years will think of it and us, their silly ancestors. 😅
Haha this would be a strange one to come apon
@@MobileInstinct Is this place privately owned or is it public land?
They'll be digging these cars up and making them run 😂. Road Warrior style.
@Gallant Zodiac maybe underground, DEEP underground, but there would have to be infrastructure already in place and enormous caches of water, air, and MREs. And toilet paper.

Gotta get in that sketchy tunnel👀
Nice one Chris! You're near the area where F-117 perform test flights.
I would love to see inside your truck and camper.
Twisted Metal, God I use to spend 10 hours a day playing that. Great Video😁😛
That place is a borderline junkyard. The thing you are wondering about looks like a leftover homemade vehicle from the burning man festival.
Amarillo , TX has one too
Those metal structures may have been associated with a silver mine. Nevada is the Silver State. What town are you near there?
It's The Cadillac Ranch That Bruce Springsteen Wrote A Song About!!
You always find the coolest places!! Plan to visit Utah?!!? The Monolith awaits you!!
Awesome!!! And actually pretty good pieces of art too.
I think that ladder is from a semi truck, one that hauls oil or liquid 🤔
TWISTED METAL black was the best one
I wonder if it would be worth it to dig that Ford van out, looks like the body is in remarkable condition
Looks like your in Goldfield. If your where still there I could have you connect with Jon at the Florence Mine
The Burners usually stop and paint the vehicles and party there on their way to Burning Man
Did you check out the Goldfield Hotel while you were there?
I saw that and the clown hotel haha. Didn't film any of them though.
there is a lone grave stone there and you missed it...google it perhaps.
Hey see Siskiyou County! its beautiful
Sweet tooth, I Love Twisted Metal!! 😁👍
Twisted metal is the video game you were thinking of
Nice view @7:30 Chris!
That is a really neat place
It reminds me of that movie that the people has all the cars from there victoms.
You’re just outside Goldfield. It’s a huge mining district.
COOL, THANKS
Sweet tooth was the name of the driver in twisted metal
Twisted metal for the first playstation. And the platform is an original diving board for a pool.
Awesome Video
Good Job👍👊
Pretty cool 🙂 thanks
Better than the ones on Route 66. Would drive past the one on R 66.
so cool!!!
Ok I’m not the ok one questioning how the hell someone put all those vehicles like that that especially the buses
Destruction derby was the game I think
I loved this video
If a car falls in the forest but nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? 🤔
✌thanks, enjoyable as always
8:24 probably part of a crane
