Well I thought we only had liberty caps here in the UK. And didn’t think magic mushrooms grew this time of year! So THANK YOU for this. 🙏 I will keep my eyes open for these.

Staffordshire stoke area, I found them on wood chips about a month ago, haven’t seen any since frost came, they are strong 2 medium sized ones got me very nice with slight visuals Can’t wait for next year, just have to be careful for wood lovers paralysis but I don’t think I got any of that
@ I think I saw them before many times but just didn’t know they were magic, yes that’s where I am in stone haha, I’ve never found many liberty caps round here tho but mebe just not searched hard enough
Just found your channel great and informative especially about library Caps of which i did partake many moons ago ,All Mushrooms and Fungi are Magic because they are mysterious and we are only just beginning to understand them ,the real magic is what they do underground and their relationships with Trees they actually communicate with each other !! Cheers Chris
I think I managed to stumble on my favourite channel, used to love going mushroom picking in Poland so great to see someone doing some home mushroom picking!
Great presentation and filming. Enjoyed seeing your panorama's and vista's very much. Your knowledgeable assessment of the various species found, was also wonderful to listen to. Looking forward to viewing further episodes. Thank You.
They might be a welcome winter diversion from the grimness that permeates the UK at the moment. Great 'shroom education and overall a relaxing video jaunt thru nature into the bargain, thanks for the info.
First time I have watched your channel, very nicely presented, didn't know that you could find magic mushrooms this late in the year, used to pick them many years ago about the end of August.
Noooo way. I've been in love with Psilocybin for a long time, but I had no idea. I am amazed. I live in North Wales now. I must find these. Big Thankies
Beautiful area, spent many a wonderful day wandering those moors, stooped over, scrutinising dung and tuft. Great video. Love the Fox staining folklore.
Scotland? I'm form Scotland, we've had a terrible season this year at our usual stomping grounds. I'm an older guy, but I do enjoy the occasional chance to step through that door. Not much happening this year!?!
@TheOneHundredPercent yes mate funny you say that. Last year was my worst season so far. This year was slighty better for me. Must be a microclimate thing. As a couple of seasons ago was a bumper. Just your luck or maybe someone got there before you. Early bird as they say. Merry christmas hope your having a grand day. All the best for your new year peace and blessings 🍄❄️🎄☃️🍄🎄✌️
@MacHaggisVision yeah something seems to be having an effect on them. Their out much later but even then the yieds are nothing compared with the past. It's not over picking as we're away and go between different spots each year, try let them regenerate a bit. Thanks for ur reply. Hope ur having a good day yourself. Merry Christmas man. 🎄✌🏽🎅🏼
@@adamsmithyy67 Weird innit? The weather seems to do as it likes now. Fk seasons. 😂 There's no rain when there should be rain. There's sun when there's typically clouded shade. High temps when usually lower, much lower.I'm totally pissed cos it not happening .Heavy. I want to try doing my own. Checked it out, I could do that I'm sure?

How did I end up here? I have no idea, but I am not disappointed. I did not even know that such channels exists lol. Amazing + you get latin name and english name, so you can learn something new. Impressive channel. Subscribed
Love the channel and just subscribed to it, now I've been picking mushroom's for years and I really started to think Facebook and UA-cam was going to end foraging. BUT I just love that I was so wrong, and the educational information is one in a million, so now quickly in my day you can pick mushroom's and even just eat them there and all would be good, it's when you get them home and start to dry them out, so if you did say have a knock at the door, you could be arrested, not that stops me or most people, but I wonder if you can let me know if the law is still the same. Thanks for your work and time for the magical walk and talk 🤔🇬🇧🍄👍
I don't know why UA-cam suggested this channel at the end of Christmas and the start of 2025. Anyway, I am hooked now. Thanks for your wealth of knowledge. Happy New Year, everyone.
The minute I saw them, although you were saying Horse or Field, I thought Macrosporus. Great vid, really well made and nicely presented, you have great knowledge!
Seen the Fimetaria before in the hills around Halifax. Stoodley Pike where the Battle Of Waterloo monument stands on it's own little hill is a nice little trek too, you can walk up onto the balcony and see all the people who've engraved their names in the stone over the centuries. Cheers for the video.
@@danniinthewild It's grey, chilly, and wet here. It looks exactly like the weather in your video but with more trees(fewer shrooms). it's actually rather nice for this time of year in Wisconsin.

Ooh, I might have to go on another excursion to Yorkshire! I went a couple of months ago to clear my head and hunt liberty caps. I found around 100 and had a relaxing time randomly wandering around. Always interesting to learn new mushroom species and to learn about _why_ the pattern of colouration differs between libs and wavys.
Sometimes the algorithm turns up some proper gold. Great channel!
