Sophie is truly amazing on this Led Zep cover as well as every other young talented musician is. Really good!
That 12-string player was impressive. The tall kid playing lead on My Old School really blew it away. Brilliant job.
Where Eagles Dare....Drain You.... Manic Depression...My Old School...Supernaut...Supermassive Black Hole...all fabulous. And superb drumming on all!!
Awesome ! Young people Playing super Music. There is much hope to keep hard rock alive !
Led Zeppellin What Is and Never Could Be was perfect!!
The Steely Dan cover was FANTASTIC! The lead guitar player was totally having fum while at the same time delivering tasty leads! His playing was amazing!! Excellent player!
I agree GREAT Job and I hope he is still playing !
Your guitar player killed the lead on Inca Roads. I appreciate the hard work it took to learn that and the hard work the rest of the band put in as well.
Great performance. What a great group of multi-talented kids. Hopefully we get to see an All Stars Team Tour in 2021!!!!
I hope so too. They had to cancel the 2020 All-Star tour.
Zappa always a favorite, and they would have made him happy.
A lot of talent comes out of these schools of rock.. I keep searching for who became famous from alumni but haven't found any yet.. I'm hoping some have
What is, and what should never be!! 🎸🎸
Good musicianship especially keys and guitar on Inca Roads.
Awesome team your variety is great, some of these songs I didn't know but y'all rocked it. I would like to say this about Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd from the early days and then he formed Blackfoot, and he's back with Skynyrd, but he said that Jimmi Hendrix invented the guitar, and then Eddie Van Halen reinvented it, and he also said every chord has been played. So what I'm saying is any band that's covering a song it's like reinventing and evolving into a new sound. keep on keeping on.
Great variety ! I smiled through this whole set.You kids are amazing. What is the Drummers Name Please ? he is off the cuff for his age.
Surprised to hear an old Genesis tune in here
+RecordCollector101 The show directors try to put together a show with a wide range of music. But yeah, this one was out of left field.
They were spot-on!
Best of the set
So the very laid back girl... extremely beautiful... that usually sings light back up vocals... steps up for the lead on a ZEP song... and totally knocks it out of the park...where the hell were girls like this back in my day? 😣😣
@20:00 Ahhhrrgggg .... do they not teach them to not cup the mic? so many good talents in these vids, but it really makes me wonder if they actually teach stage presence and mic handling. Come on SOR.. cupping the mic is a huge no-no...
.and again at 38:00... No Cup the mic... stop iy!.. it make you sound like crap... .. it tale 15 min to explain why they should nto do this... goodness.
I know they teach good mic technique at the Oak Park and Chicago schools, but the folks in the AllStars teams are from locations all over the US.
I started out as a sound engineer when I was 15, and like you, it drives me nuts. Not only does it muffle the sound, it increases the chance of feedback.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 I sent them an email... as a sound pro it just sticks out like a sore thumb... makes me mistrust the whole program if they get something this basic wrong... I have to skip some songs as it is like fingernails on a chaulkboard...
your video work is noted.. it take a long time to put these together/upload etc..
congrats to the group on effort .. I've commented about the sour notes from the blonde female vocalist before .. now I've heard her sing a sour lead .. she doesn't connect with the audience, self absorbed, poor dynamics and zero stage presence .. what is she doing on this team? .. Musicians are Fantastic!!!
Imma guess a girl who looks like her rejected you in high school. Her vocals sound fine to me.
@@adamcoutts9591 You must be musically tone impaired and/or have no idea of vocal harmonies theory .. or you are just one of those trolls that like to make an ass out of yourself
@@adamcoutts9591 spot on.
Loser incel. She can sing great.
Wanted to add a comment about the choice of tunes by the band director seem to exceed the talent of both the female and male vocalists .. a good band of instrumentalist musicians is excellent but if with vocals .. place some real singers in the mix .. I attribute this teams vocals shortcomings to the band leader direction
Fair enough. Some of the band directors are stronger and other areas. They pick all these musicians from auditions, and then they assign the set list and then rehearse for 2 days before going on the road. So mistakes can happen.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 .. your reply simply pivots on reinforcing my positive comment(s) about the musicians .. it's the poor choice of certain vocalists that destroy the excellent work of the backing band .. I come from the real world as a performer, guitar/keyboard player, writer, mixer and front end vocals .. your school is either short of vocal talent, diminished instructors and/or choice of music .. interviews with each band member and vocalist should have been conducted .. the strong musicians should be an integral part of selecting both the music and vocalists .. more importantly, the band members and director/teacher should determine each persons strengths
/limitations, interests and creativity of those vocalists selected .. I guarantee a huge difference in the end result .. whether that be just a great instrumental band or one integral with front vocals
@@textsmsmaster9884 I tend to agree. Go back to all the classic rock bands over the years, you need to have strong vocals. No vocals no band.
@@jeffschielka7845 i started playing keys in the early 60'S Guitars In 1966 .. i went pro in a band in 1972 .. 14 years later, hundreds of concerts, venues and 7 albums our members musical directions needed to grow outside our group in more personal directions .. but we all had learned the music business .. and mastered our skills as artists and musicians most are deceased now .. retired from my business and semi retired from music .. still write, play and still making new connections .. still growing with innovative methods and technologies .. supporting original material and real musicians .. especially those who study the roots of electric and tube sound .. my era pioneered the wave of new sound and musical styles unlike any other generation that has followed .. our music is still being played and popular even after 40 and 50 years .. timeless
DEAF, DUMB,, AND BLIND KID REPLY.. IGNORE.
Leave the singes at home.
