i worked with dental. And i dont recomend this to everyone unless the case is hopeless. your teeth will be grind 1/3 will be left remaining. then after 3-5yrs starts to crack & fell off eventualy. and you pay eveyrtime to maintain it. i feel sorry for those people who were influence by someone to do this without knowing the consequence and regret wishing they din't do it.
What specifically do you mean when you say unless the case is hopeless? How hopeless? I’m looking in to them bc I feel my case is hopeless but there might be other things I can try first.
Monica Robinson if you’re really into veneers, then look into “indications” and “contraindications” for veneers. Ask about malocclusion, parafunctional habit, veneer thickness and preparation requirement for certain shades you want to change to. Ask about heavily stained tooth and how to cover the stain with veneers vs crowns. Ask about root canal treatment as a preventive measure before placing veneers to prevent deep preparation and nerve exposure and post-op sensitivity. There’s a lot into getting veneers.
I have porcelain veneers on my upper front facing teeth (I recently had them replaced). I had heavy discoloration so to me it was a necessity. The teeth are filed down like this video says, but that's what needs to be done. I think it's more than 0.5 mm. I'm thinking Lumineers are better if your teeth are naturally small. If your teeth are average size, or larger, you're Lumineers might look too big. 0.2 mm is 0.4 mm when you calculate the width of a tooth (both edges are 0.2 mm). You might have a difficult time flossing. Also, I wouldn't want to look like the character in "The Mask." Something that's natural looking is important to me.
I called multiple Dentist and they all "claimed" they did Lumineers until I made it extremely clear I only wanted the Lumineers and not anything else. They lie lie lie...you don't have Lumineers
does lumineers can make your already "protruding teeth" to be more prominence? and if my teeth are VERY sensitve and I'm feeling pain during Limescale removal at the dentist, would the lumineers teeth grinding be painfull as well? are there any food types that one is not allowed to eat in order to avoid damaging the lumineers?
if your teeth are protruding and you place lumineers chances are they are going to protude even more. is not completely tre that lumineers dont need any prep, it does need some minimal prep to correct minimal tooth malposition and it should not hurt at all.
Oh so ur making an ad for lumineers and telling that they don’t need the teeth to be shaved down ? Ask any expert honest dentist and he will tell you that the portion of the tooth that is close to gum needs to be shaved down because if u don’t do this there will be a very tiny gap that is not covered with the lumineer thus the food remains and bacteria will hide between the tooth and the veneer. after a few years ur teeth will rotten and will be super bad .
i have two crowns on my front teeth and i'm not happy because i can't even smile, people say it's a false teeth, is it possible if my crowns can be replaced with veneers or any natural looking teeth? i want a transformation smile.
As far as i know crowns are irreversible meaning u cannot undo wat has happened for ur tooth . The tooth is now is like a stub . Most of the enamel is gone . And u left w two options : extraction and implant or find an artistic dentist to redo the crowns . Another option is a foxed bridge w two pontics and two anchors ( natural teeth as a support )
Years ago I got porcelain veneers for my two front teeth. $1000 per tooth. Looked great but recently, one broke and fell out. Now my two front teeth (because of the filing down of existing teeth under the veneer) makes me look like the TOXIC AVENGER.
I got a "filling" every week for my teeth and they basically shaved down my tooth and manually shaped it with the filler and it was like about $100 for 3 teeth so issa win win
choch lm I got veneers the first time for my 2 front teeth then 2 years later when one popped off I got a new same day veneer which is just as pricey yet it also popped off with 1 week. Unfortunately I had moved out of town and wasn’t able to ha e the ortho that placed it put it back.
Lumineer is basically a brand name that is only for non prep, because it’s made so thin there isn’t any translucency and just looks fake up close. Emax veneers are best for prepped and looks very realistic if done correctly from a good dental lab. The minimum thickness required is .7mm
There is no such thing as a cosmetic dentist. Cosmetic dentistry is not a recognized specialty by the ADA. All dentists can call themselves cosmetic dentists because they all learn to do crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures etc.. A periodontist can do the same veneers as can a general dentist.

So what’s the best choice?

So what u prefer? Bracings?

You mean getting veneers, this doesn't apply to lumineers though, since your teeth remain the same with lumineers.

Very helpful video can you get lumineers if you’re missing teeth?
I had Lumineers and they still removed part of my enamel to apply them!
You got veneers.
thats not lumineers then

Do you have to get numbing and freezing done when replacing your veneers?
Still rather lemineers than traditional veneers
SAME. i just saw my dentist and begged him i want non prep veneers . i dont think i can live with my already small grinded teeth being shaved
@@oblongfan1 If I cannot get no prep veneers then fine... i will live my life without them and just try with whitening
You saying that my couch is old??? How dare you!!!
Lol. And not everyone has a nasty worn down couch , like me ,I have a nice leather couch lol
You said that the enamel is untouched with luminieres because they are thinner - but i thought enamel was removed to allow for a stronger bond.
That's right, but not strong enough !

How do you have a flush fit with tooth /glass with the Lumineers? You don't thats how.

Crowns on front teeth are very rare, what led to this decision?
@@azzifyy5988 my dentist decision in 1995, it has cavities , I thought he was gonna restore it by fillings but it wasn't.
@@gutadin5 fucking dentist they did the same with me
@Amadeus Luciann that's insane it must be a fancy clinic

What did the doctor say?
Some have hands on experience, portfolios, further studies and research that general all round dentists dont have.
Orthodontist.
Run away from Lumineers!!
I ended up losing all 8 of my upper teeth....
Anthony Core why did you loose them ?
Brush your teeth
Please share your story, it might change my mind! :)
I'm guessing they rotted to the point of falling out
Maybe your dentist didnt do it properly.
Versus not verse.
That bugged me, too
THis is all a big fat lie....they shaved my teeth down for Lumineers...they don't tell you this until after you in the chair and its toooooo late!!
200$ for veneers.
KATASTROPHE..
