6:27 - My Mom used to make tapioca pudding (and sometimes tapioca chocolate pudding). Good, I liked how the firm pudding had the tapioca balls suspended throughout instead of that liquid stuff with the tapioca at the bottom. I recommend you try the pudding or suggest to the chefs that they serve that, instead.

On your next Thai restaurant visit , I suggest you request the namplha server. It’s a tray of Thai condiments you can add to your dishes to suit your taste . Over all I enjoyed this video. I love Thai food, but I’m not Thai.

I just realized you aren't using that "challenger" music anymore. It was fun because it felt like a battle was going on. But then you ate until you finished and rated more consistently with those vids. I do like the harvesting videos like the bamboo root and strawberries. What else could you do in that vein? Kaki? Imo? My mom used to take us warabe (fern stems) picking here in Canada but I'd hide in the van with a blanket over my head to avoid the mosquitoes. Not good times but good eats.

Hai Eric...im zakwan from malaysia...I think you should try malaysian food...highly recommend you to try our nasi lemak,beef or chicken rendang,satay with peanut sauce,roti canai and if you are a big fan of noodles you should try our mee goreng mamak and curry laksa noodle..i hope you will try it...

just curious, eric, why do you pronounce basil the way you do? its not the american way, as here we pronounce it with a long a and i believe you are from california originally.
In Japanese, we pronounce basil and tomato the way British do, not "too-may-too". We have a lot of words originate from English, some are from U.K. and others from U.S. Eric must have been influenced by the Japanese pronunciation.

You should try the potato balls with bacon, rutabaga, and lamb meat on the side... Or fish gratin... Dried cod... Or good old meatcakes with potato, peas and gravy. ;-)
Hey Eric I'm not very familiar with Japan but I would suggest you trying maybe a polish restaurant! Like I said I've never been to Japan and not very sure what types of restaurants they have but if they have maybe polish food I think you should give it a try!
