GregintheBox hi there,i always watch your video about gadget tutorial,i just wanted to ask how can i connect this mixer to any mobile phone?your answer is highly apreciated.
hi there. you would have to purchase an interface made specifically for that purpose. the iRig Pro Duo 2, or the Roland Go Mobile Pro. check those out.
You just saved my life. I have this unit for a month now and after watching this video i finally got it working on FB Live. Thanks a lot. You explain it excellently. More power to you.
Thank you Greg for sharing! It is always so impressive to see people who, despite all their daily hassles, manage to find motivation and want to share their knowledge and experiences (take for granted that it's not just about money). It doesn't matter whether the subject is of my interest or not, there is always something you can learn if it's well planned, structured, and presented.
Oh last thing, really love how you explain things because I am a “ plug and play” person and so it’s really helpful to have somebody like you because there are people that say they could teach but it doesn’t mean they’re a teacher you are definitely a teacher thank you
I came because I'm in the market for an audio mixer and I didn't know jack about the subject. I have a couple of small synths, Korg volcano percussion, Behringer CRAVE, and M-Audio Oxygen keyboard. It was suggested that I look into getting an audio interface. Mackie was suggested to me so I jumped on to hear your evaluation. Super helpful, Greg.
dude ive been messing around with this mixer and my setup for 2 weeks now, and your video got my mic and yamaha thr 30ii all connected seamlessly, THANK YOU!!
Hello Greg, you nailed with that video I just boughted a mixer ProFX6v3 but didn't have a clue how to set it up but with your tutorial now I can start playing until I get the sound I want. Thank you really appreciate
Excellent video. I really like this method of explaining things. It's an audiovisual way that fits my brain better. It's also quick and just detailed enough.
Thank you Greg! It help me a lot to choose what mixer to buy between a Berinhger, soundtrack and this Mackie … At the beginning I didn’t understand very well how the nudes 3/4 and 3/5 works, but after you explanation could understand so much better to take a decition
Brilliant video Greg. I bought one of these and was communicating with a chap called Cramer at Mackie because I couldn't make head nor tail of it. Thanks Neville, truly inspiring comment. It’s why I do it. I would love to make such a connection with Mackie. Indeed the Manual is poor. If you flip me this Cramer fella’s email I will follow up with them. would like to build that relationship. Best of luck and I’m hear if you have a question. Thanks.
@@GregintheBox: Thanks for the reply, we don't always know if comments get read. Cramer's email is simply 'support@mackie.com' and Cramer is down as a level 2 technical support. Quote me and he should have a record of our emails. Looking at your climb in viewers it seems obvious to me that Mackie have missed something here and there are a lot of confused peeps searching for answers to how to make this thing fly. I have now got this working great, so, persevere folks Greg shows the way. And if we all contact Mackie they may help Greg do something about the poor instructions. I've found that Traktion Waveform works best for me with this mixer, others may find different. Best regards, Nev.
This video was very useful for me. I'm still trying to figure out how to use this mixer, (I have a Mac instead of a PC) and one thing I am trying to figure out is how to use OBS and use some VST noise gates and some real-time low frequency noise removal with my broadcast but your explanation about the 3 /4 talkback controls on the 5 and 6 knob made all the difference in the world to me. So thank you because I didn't understand that at all until I saw your video. take care.
Hi Larry, how are you able to send the Mackie Mixer output TO your MacBook? I have tried a lot (and I know that the USB cable and the port on the Macbook are perfectly fine) but I cannot get the signal going to MacBook. The computer detects it as ProFx right away.
@@pinaklonkar I am rewriting - I did have a hard time recording the first time. Now that I think about it. I had to get the settings right. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro running macOS Catalina 10.15.6 with two thunderbolt ports. . I use either the USB-C Digital AV Multiport adapter ($69.00 from the Apple Store.) This has my external HDMI monitor and the power cable and the USB-A connection from the Mackie plugged in.) You can also use the $19.00 USB to USB-C adapter as well. Then I plug my headphones into the headphone jack on the Mackie. I also have my Bose amplified computer speakers plugged into the headphone jack on the Mac. When I am connected to zoom or teams - I can use that 3/4 button that is near the bottom center - inside the 5/6 area labeled switch (I know -weird). to hear the voices coming back from Zoom or Teams. (This is what I was missing until I watched some videos on UA-cam) Because I didn't know how to hear the voices that came back from the computer mixed with mine. You can click on Sound preferences under the speaker symbol on the top bar - and choose both input and output on that screen. (you can also go to system preferences -> sound -> and toggle between sound effects/output/input. Then choose Output and select the mackie. The choose Input and select the mackie. ) Make sure you are getting both the input and output settings for the Mackie and plug your headphones or speakers into the Mackie (not the headphone jack of the computer). Since its recognizing it - Maybe its giving you one as you say and leaving the other set to something else. I could take some screenshots but I don't know how to post them to this forum. if this does' t make sense/work - write back here and we will figure it out. .
I am a happy owner of this mixer, the Mackie ProFX6v3; I love to sing karaoke and used to record songs connecting this mixer to my laptop. However, it only sends out 2 USB channels. So I now do my recording with an EVO 8 which allows 4 USB channels. I use Cakewalk to record. But that said, unless I'm doing any recording, I continue to enjoy using the Mackie; I love the sound quality of its Mic preamps. The reverb though needs quite some experimentation to get right. Lastly, this Mackie now has fierce competition from a new Yamaha Mixer/Interface, the AG06 Mk 2, just released. It also has 2 USB channels and not 4.
Thank you, Greg! Very lucidly explained! I've wanted to sing live on Facebook with effects and all, but was totally confused about how to go about doing it...I checked out many videos on UA-cam, but yours is the BEST....cleared all doubts! Thanks again!
One of the best DETAILED video I've ever seen. Wish all can do like this. I have the Mackie ProFX10V3 and I LOVE IT!!! But still have a lot to learn since it's my first time to use this kind of hardware for my Facebook live streaming. Keep it up mate!!!
Thank you for this! My ProFX6v3 arrived today, and the Mackie documentation wasn't very helpful to me. Your video walked me through step by step and answered all my questions. I"m going to check out your other videos too. Liked and subscribed, and SO grateful. (Mackie should hire you, because your explanations are way better than theirs. And, you are such a good musician too.)
Excellent explanation of the mackie mixer. You made it simple for those who do not have the expertise with using mixers. I just ordered the ProFxv3... for zoom. Great job!
Great explanation. I have a question if possible. I saw in your video that you were using external sources of sounds such as a guitar or a tablet. But If I want to use the same computer as a source of instrumental music, then I will mix it with my voice singing and finally, I will send the mix back to the computer for recording purposes or for live streaming. Is it possible with the ProFX6v3?
This is more for PC. I have a Mac and dont have sound coming from mixer to FB for some reason. I have outputs and inputs set to my profX mixer but no sound coming in on FB live or photo booth. I can hear youtube videos but no sound when connect to FB live even tho it is connected as audio source in FB. I also see No drivers for mac? In lost lol
Hi GregintheBox, I just bought this mixer for my wife who is wanting to potentially use it for a podcast, but the very first thing she wants to use it for is to lead meditations. That is, she wants to speak into a mic but also 1) mix in (and hear) background music and 2) hear the participants on the call. I think I found out how to do this: using 1/8 jack (from phone or other audio producing device) to RCA (line 3 and 4) but I was trying to make use of both USB stereo outputs to achieve this goal. So I am confused by your recommendation of selecting USB 3/4 as the output for the Zoom call (i.e. the participants) because USB 3/4 appears to be routed to the mix (along with the other inputs) but I am unable to monitor on the headphone output. Pointing my computer/Zoom to USB 1-2 allows me to hear the participants and the rest of the inputs. In Summary: @ 19:10, you mention you can adjust the volume of your audience in zoom/headphones but it seems like USB 3-4 isn't routed to the headphone output. It is routed to the mix (i.e. back into the zoom call). I can play a youtube video and if I select USB 1-2, I hear it in my monitoring headphones but participants don't. If I select USB 3-4, participants hear the video, but I do not hear it. Any help would be appreciated and thanks for this detailed video.
Many months ago I asked him for the same issue. He never knew how to fix this. Sad to see a tutorial that should help people to setup ProFx onto Zoom but realisticaly what you get is a call without a possibility to hear back your people lol I mean, they can hear you and themselves too like a infinite loop LOL
@@GregintheBox I've had a Mckie Micro Series 1202 for my home studio for years and recently upgraded to the ProFx12V3 - what a new world, love it - and which is why I watched this video, to learn a little more about the new Fx and now to get it all synched up with PC. You helped push me to dig into the Fx and cool Aux/USB feature - way cleaner than my old setup of routing PC audio back out through my audio interface, then out of interface through line out to the mixer 😳😳😳😳 - there's alot less buzz and snap, crackle and pop now. Anyway, I had also recently bought a used FroFx16 (not v3) for my band gigs... and really liked it but afterr watching this video and getting more into the V3 festures, I went yesterday and sold the non V3 model and found a used (excellent condition) FroFX16V3. So now I'm the proid owner of ProFX12V3 for home studio and ProFX16V3 for the road. I'm looking forward to gigging with the ProFX16V3 and using some of the effects -- and the onboard compression is a plus!!! One thing I haven't done is connect the V3 to my Reaper DAW - I imagine the entire mix is all coming in as 1 or 2 channels - not all separate channels. Meaning - although it's an audio interface, it's not going to be a replacement for my 4 channel Scarlett for recording 2 guitars and vox on separate tracks simultaneously. Anyway - appreciate you time and again great video - clear, concise and accurate! New to the channel, subscribed and looking forward to more - as you know, gear is never a destination, it's a never ending journey! Take it easy - hope you and yours have a safe and happy new year -- as we welcome 2021 with open arms and open minds.
Hi Greg thanks for this post, I just bought one and it was shipped last night🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻. I just have a question, can I use the effects for the vocal and guitar at the same time? If this is possible, how do I set it up? I tried but it seems like whatever effects I use, it will do the same for both😔. Let's say I want to use the delay/reverb for the vocals and I want to use the chorus for the guitar, how can make it work? Will you please help me out? Thank you☺️
It is an awesome and affordable tool for online adventures and recording. Internal mixers usually only allow for one fx bus and that one effect can receive a send from the different tracks. So sadly you can’t have spectate fx for different tracks. One choice for the whole mix. I would recommend using separate fx unit or pedals for the guitar before it connects to the mixer. Then you can choose a vocal effect and keep the mixer fx off on the guitar. Using pedals etc for guitar effects. Best of luck it’s a fun little unit.
Greg, THANK YOU! I was tasked with producing a 'concert' via zoom. I thought it would be pretty simple but it tuned out to be more complicated than I imagined. After buying the wrong mixer I was pointed toward the ProFX6 v3 by a very helpful rep from BH Photo but once I got it I discovered it wasn't 100% plug & play. This video addressed everything I needed very nicely. Thanks again Greg.
I've been watching videos looking for a good audio interface for my DJ mixer and I have a separate microKorg keyboard with a vocoder. This just gave me ideas for reciting poetry and making my own music for it - and recording it. I had my laugh of the day with you singing that you were streaming on Facebook. I didn't know people did this. Thanks!
Wow, I learned so many things in your vid. I like how you explains things...cool...I’m also using Mackie ProV3Fx cause I want to set up my gain of each instrument in a specific set. I learn a lot from you...I also like your friend on your shoulder. How surprising he/she doesn’t reacts while your doing loud sound in your tutorial...🤣🤣🤣
Hi Greg, i have a question. Can we use our computer as a music source. I tried but no sound coming through the speaker. But if i play the music from my tab, i can hear the music. I just feel weird because the usb supposed to be the input from the computer. Am I right? Thank you in advance 🙏🏻
Really helpful, thanks - my 15 y/o has music lessons online now and one criticism is that the tutor cannot see fingers / hear well enough what's going on. I'm looking at a Shure SM57Beta mic (instrument) and maybe a Shure 58 as well, a Logitech webcam with its own mic and I need to sort the audio interface.... I've looked at the Behringer UMC404, the Focusrite 4i4 and 6i6, and some others - --this is the first one I've seen that will do exactly what I need it to., thanks for making this video - REALLY USEFUL!
Great video with some clear explanations on how the audio mixer works. Is there a particular way to set up the 3/4 USB option for receiving audio from your computer into the mixer to hear through headphones without causing others to hear themselves on social media applications? I am currently experiencing the issue of my friends being able to hear themselves speak due to the mixer outputting their microphones to them!
Thank you so much for all your knowledge and info. This helped immensely on choosing an audio interface for my specific needs as a keyboardist working with vocalists. (doing a lot of Zoom performances!)
Good morning Greg, I am very happy with my Mackie, but when I tried using my Iphone XR to do live streaming on facebook, the clarity and the effects were clear on my studio monitor but after doing the live stream and did a playback, I was very disappointed!😔, Although I can hear my vocals and my guitar, the effects were not present on the live feed, did I do something wrong with my set up? I use a lightning cable to connect my mackieprofx6 v3 to my iphone. I hope you can help me out, thanks much Greg and take care.
Hi Edwin - So first the obvious things to check on the mixer. Make sure the "FX" button for each channel is pushed in. Make sure the Stereo Pan button is out (up). That's the button with 1L on one side and 2R on the other. It should be off for live streaming as you are describing. Make sure the "FX To Main" knob is up a fair bit. OK, now, I will say that the testing I did and the video was done for USB connection to a PC or MAC laptop etc. So I can't say for sure if its not something related to using it with a lighting cable and a mobile device. The FX are going to my Zoom or live streaming as they should. I would test your mixer with a desktop or laptop computer. An easy test is to use Zoom or some other video conferencing software to call a friend and see how the effects sound on their end. If it works on a regular computer then at least you know you are and mixer are doing everything right. Let me know how it works out. Best of luck my friend.
Greg - very useful video! I have one question for you. You've got USB 3-4 coming through (on mixer channels 5-6) so that you can hear the other participants in your Zoom call, but that source will also be mixed into what's being sent to the computer as well, right? (Because, as far as I can tell, the main mix that you're hearing in your headphones is also the very same mix that is being sent via USB to the "Line (proFX)" input on your computer. Is that the reason that in your Zoom audio settings you left the echo cancellation enabled? But what if I don't want the other Zoom participants to hear the various other alert sounds from my computer? There's no way to make sure that I can hear them in my headphones while preventing them from being sent out on my stream, is there? (Short of adding a second mixer just for the headphone mix...)
Thanks, glad you liked the video. My parrot is quite the pet. She wants to spend her entire waking life on my shoulder. She knows only one word....."Hi" but she uses it intelligently. Like if you leave the room and then come back in a few minutes later, then she says, "Hi"
Thanks Todd. Have fun with that mixer. There are less complicated small Mixer/interfaces out there, but they don’t pack the same level of functionality in for the price and size.
Thank you Greg -- totally new to this. After months of frustration with another interface device, I bought the Mackie ProFX6 based on your video, took notes on your step by step instructions and will hopefully get me up and running for tomorrow's live Zoom/Facebook event. Could this be the key to a whole new world....we'll see. Best, JK Jones
Hi Amber, well....it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are recording and or using some form of processing it certainly can delay and you can hear and feel this latency which impacts your performance/experience. In cases where latency is expected, most of the time, direct monitoring is used to achieve over dubbing etc. If you are referring to experiencing a delay that you experience when attempting to play or sing in sync with others over the web in a platform like Zoom, then there is sadly no real solution for this since the delay incurred when your audio is sent out over the web and your friends hear this and then attempt to perform with you is considerable and is simply the reality of who the web works and the speed of the internet itself at this time. There are other software and platforms attempting to do better in this area but video conferencing apps (Zoom, Teams, Skype etc) are not intended for this use). You can certainly improve how you sound over the web, but in sync music playing together across the web is not realistic at this time. That said, here are two platforms that are attempting to do it better than Zoom etc. JamKazzam (Big learning curve, hard on the computer). Sofasession (Easier/browser based, not as hard on PC, less options though). Have fun.
The best ProFx6v3 tutorial! EVER! Is it compatible with Mac ? I mean, if I hook it up to a Mac, do I have the same line profx setup option in Zoom or Facebook Live?
Thanks Kevin, If you mean a Mac Laptop or desktop then yes. exactly the same. it’s not compatible with mobile devices of course, but there are other cool pieces of tech that will help with that.
You are a great help!! In respect to the Mackie mixer - ProFX 6v3. I want to use this mixer with XLR input for sound. But not the Logitech 250 (confusing input sounds I think). I am using zoom and its proper setups for musical instruments. The sound I am getting, it sound like I am in a tunnel and the recorded volume is much lower than expected. I am using Realistic speakers. Do I have to get rid of the Logitech 250? and better speakers? Would I get the same results, no matter what mixer board I used? Thank You for your comments
Great video for a beginner I have a Mackie ProV 4v2 that is not USB enabled:-( can you do a review on that one and show how to setup for performance and making videos? LOVE how you break this instructional video so a newbie can understand in plain language!
@@GregintheBox I don't know so that is my question. Can you give me options? Perhaps shoe me the best results I can get? I am a beginner so most everything is over my head LOL
Hi Greg, thank you for the informative video demonstration. I am just starting out with my new mixer . In your video I didn’t understand where the main outs were hooked to .I understand that the headphones were connected with the phones out jack but which are the other two 1/4 inch main outs connected to ? Thanks !
Hi Greg, nice informative video. I have just ordered this mixer, thanks to you. I was just wondering with regards to using Zoom and the USB 3 & 4 Audience return channel. Is there a way of hearing them through my output speakers as opposed through headphones? Or is just a case of plugging in speakers into the headphone jack in order to hear them on USB 3 & 4? Thanks in advance.
You can certainly use the main outs, but be aware that you ideally don't want that sound being picked up by your microphone and folded back into the mix again. Its doable but is not the ideal scenario. Best of luck. its a fun unit.
You were using USB output 3-4 on the PC in order to use the volume control, but I had been assuming that the USB output 3-4 acts as a loopback, so that you can record your PC output, which is not what you'd want on a Zoom call, right? Am I misunderstanding how it works? I had actually been thinking this would be great so I could have my voice call go to USB output 1-2 so it doesn't loop back, but then I could have a backing track play on USB output 3-4 and loop back to my voice call so I could sing over a backing track and have the call hear it without hearing their own voices as an echo. Is that not how it works?
Hello Greg, thanks for this great video. I noticed that there are only two XLR connections. What if we needed two mics (2 singers) and perhaps a keyboard and and guitar that needed to be added on... are there splitters? Or is there a need for a different kind of mixer? We are going to be doing an online concert with multiple singers and instrumentals as well as karaoke tracks. Sounds like a lot I know but I'd appreciate your help on this. Thanks.
I actually have the Mackie ProFX10v3. It perfect chord a duo gig. Two vocals, two instruments, and still space to hook up your phone. And all the same features as this smaller one. More actually, It also has Compression each channel.
Great video - works fine with Windows 10 but I cannot get the main output sent to MacBook Pro via a USB cable. Any ideas why? MacBook shows it as ProFx and I can also play a note on a keyboard I have connected to the mixer and the Garageband tuner identifies the note. But when I start recording, and play the keyboard, no signal is going to the MacBook.
I don't normally subscribe after viewing a tutorial, but.. You sir have a new follower :) I love how you break things down for tech dummies like me. So hard to find out how to do this online. Plus you can really sing and play :) Just a quick question. I would pretty much only be using this to dj on Zoom. Would it pick up Virtual DJ, running on my laptop, or would I need to go via line in?
Thank you my friend. Kind words. As a DJ using a computer based virtual software you have the challenge of needing a PC to do the DJ work and a seperate PC to be your live streaming computer. To try and do both on the same PC is difficult and will likely not work. With 2 computers, 1 will work as your DJ platform, and connect into the the mixer Line in. The mixer is then USB connected to the second computer which connects to the Video conferencing platform or live streaming platform of your choice. Good luck and thanks for the support.
Thank you! I'll play my tracks through my phone. Another question: I don't like the way I look in headphones hen doing a Zoom performance. I have my piano and my condenser mic hooked up to my Mackie ProFV10v3 mixer, and Iphone for backing tracks. Is there any way to use the same set up without wearing headphones?
Absolutely outstanding Video! Great, clear, explanations! Thanks so much for putting this together! I'm hoping you can answer a question - I'm wondering if this could be used to support "Hybrid Meetings" via Zoom or other Web conferencing solutions. I am hoping to: 1) take the XLR output from a Wireless Conferencing mic system and feed it thru the mixer to a Laptop connected to the Zoom meeting so remote participants can hear folks in the room, and 2) feed the audio coming from the remote participants on the Zoom meeting from the laptop over USB to this mixer and then out to a pair of powered speakers (rather than headphones) so that the room participants can hear the remote participants. Can I do that with this mixer? Thanks for your response!
Well the short answer is Yes. We use USB mixers like this all the time at my work to attach all major of mics. Today we will be using a Behringer x32 compact connected to a computer for a Teams call. We will be attaching a podium mic and 3 wireless hand held mics to facility discussion. Pretty cool.
Greg thanks. I got a Zoom H6 audio interface. And I have Logic Pro X as audio software. Would it be possible to control those audio channels digitally? So throught the Logic Pro X software? That is on a mac. But probably you have DAWs like Logic Pro X for Windows also. Adding those reverbs via the DAW should be possible, I think. Also I got a midi controller which is connected to the DAW. Could you do an episode where you connect a DAW and stream via Zoom or Facebook? And using a midi controller keyboard? Thanks. You already upped my game!!!❤❤❤❤❤
excellent video... thanks... ive got pioneer dj controller, which channel do i plug it into? im planning on doing a dj clash on zoom,... where will i be able to hear the return audio from the other djs on zoom? thanks once again
hey there. thanks. it a hard question to answer. there are several ways to do it and some experimentation will be required. you could consider connecting the stereo outs to the 1 and 2 channel inputs with an RCA to 1/4” patch cable. you can run a mic through your DJ mixer. for the return sound of the other DJs, I would select the profx1/2 as e audio out on your Zoom call and then use the blend knob on the ProFx mixer to balance the sound of your own music and the sound back from the other DJs or audience in zoom. your headphones should be connected to the phones out of the mackie mixer. try that.
@@GregintheBox thanks for your swift reply... I can't connect my mic to the controller because for some strange reason, the mic comes out the master and I can also hear it through my headphones (it's a design flaw from pioneer) that's why I have to have a mixer to separate the controller and mic.. I'd probably plug the mic into channel 1 and the controller into channel 2.. Will it make a difference if I use xlr or Jack's? I can see the mixer takes both.. Thanks! 😊
Great tutorial Greg ❤️🎶💐 i loved and learned a lot .. planning to buy this mixer ..can you suggest it and please guide me how can I do live streaming on UA-cam FB etc by my smartphone ❤️ from India
Really enjoyed the video - silly question; how do i connect 2 x Mics and 2 x Guitars if thats even possible with this mixer? Or is the obvious answer to go for the 10 channel unit?
Its totally worth the step up to the next size of this mixer. A little better control over sfx. You also get some compressors on the first 2 channels which is great for voice etc.

hi there. you would have to purchase an interface made specifically for that purpose. the iRig Pro Duo 2, or the Roland Go Mobile Pro. check those out.

How can this be used with a mac or ipad?
Actually I see that it doent need a driver for a mac - however can you address audio set up in zoom on an ipad?

I bought one of these and was communicating with a chap called Cramer at Mackie because I couldn't make head nor tail of it.
Floundering around I stumbled on your clear and concise explanation. I wrote to Cramer that Mackie should sponsor you to make them an instructional video because their manual is dire. Almost every section of their manual says 'does not apply to the ProFX6v3', or words to that effect.
Excellent video, better explanation than all the rest. Thanks a lot bro!!!
Glad it helped!
thanks for info im going to buy one sounds good and easy to use I well use it for live performances the effects look good
I came here for the mixer but your super lovely bird took all my attention. So.... ok I am lost now!
She is a sweet little parrot.
Finally the video I've been looking for! Thank you so much for your time doing this❤
This video was very useful for me. So thank you because I didn't understand that at all until I saw your video. take care.
Glad it was helpful!

@@pinaklonkar Also, I couldn't get the AVID Pro Tools First to work. I did get the garage band or OEM Tracktion to work.
An older version of the OS is required for the AVID Tools to work.
Rock on!
Wow Greg, your really Greg out of the box! Thanks from New Zealand. I liked your guitar voicings..

One of the best DETAILED video I've ever seen. Wish all can do like this. I have the Mackie ProFX10V3 and I LOVE IT!!! But still have a lot to learn since it's my first time to use this kind of hardware for my Facebook live streaming. Keep it up mate!!!
Thanks brother. Agreed the ProFX10v3 is so great. Im keen to do a video on using it for home recording. Stay tuned.
@@GregintheBox Just a quick question...Is there a way we can connect a desktop/computer speaker (Not a monitor/studio speaker) to the Mackie Mixer?
Thank you for this! My ProFX6v3 arrived today, and the Mackie documentation wasn't very helpful to me. Your video walked me through step by step and answered all my questions. I"m going to check out your other videos too. Liked and subscribed, and SO grateful. (Mackie should hire you, because your explanations are way better than theirs. And, you are such a good musician too.)
how kind. thanks for this comment. have fun.
Excellent explanation of the mackie mixer. You made it simple for those who do not have the expertise with using mixers. I just ordered the ProFxv3... for zoom. Great job!
thanks so much. a pleasure to help.
Your new fan of your channel here from Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦
Your RCA line in cables are backwards. You put the red cable into the left line input. Remember that red is for right!
Nice catch. I was going over so much material that I didn't even notice. Thanks.
Thanks Greg. Btw what cord do you use to connect 2019 IPAD to the mixer?
In lost lol
Hi JD, did you get this sorted out? I have one of these mixers on the way and was wondering the same thing. Ta.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks for this detailed video.
did you ever get that fixed? I'm having an issue here too
Many months ago I asked him for the same issue. He never knew how to fix this. Sad to see a tutorial that should help people to setup ProFx onto Zoom but realisticaly what you get is a call without a possibility to hear back your people lol I mean, they can hear you and themselves too like a infinite loop LOL
Great video very well explained I’ve just ordered one for £95 on Black Friday sale thanks❤
Well done my friend!
Just got a ProFX for my band - love it. And now love it even more cause of the online presence aspect!!
cool! have fun. what size of ProFX did you get?
@@GregintheBox
I've had a Mckie Micro Series 1202 for my home studio for years and recently upgraded to the ProFx12V3 - what a new world, love it - and which is why I watched this video, to learn a little more about the new Fx and now to get it all synched up with PC.

Thank you for pointing out that the channel 5/6 volume nob is connected to the usb 3/4 button.
I had the same issue, usb line 1-2 doesn't have an echo but you have to press the "to phone" button in to hear the computers audio

Wonderful video and love your little friend ! Thanks for posting.
Thanks, glad you liked the video. My parrot is quite the pet. She wants to spend her entire waking life on my shoulder. She knows only one word....."Hi" but she uses it intelligently. Like if you leave the room and then come back in a few minutes later, then she says, "Hi"

Great video! How do you deal with any latency issues?
Thanks this video really helps a lot.❤️❤️❤️
Right on.

Very welcome. Your mixer isnt USB capable. What are you using for an interface or are you considering buying one?
@@GregintheBox I don't know so that is my question. Can you give me options?
Perhaps shoe me the best results I can get? I am a beginner so most everything is over my head LOL
Hi Greg, thank you for the informative video demonstration.
I am just starting out with my new mixer . In your video I didn’t understand where the main outs were hooked to .I understand that the headphones were connected with the phones out jack but which are the other two 1/4 inch main outs connected to ? Thanks !
Is no one giving a shoutout to his birdie? Good job birdie! You’re a good boy (or girl lol)
Thanks pal. Yep that’s my Jasper. A girl......we think. Sadly she died a few weeks back. But she lived a great life with us and we loved her.
Thank you I was stuck trying to monitor the audio from my PC and now I can, it's confusing having the 5/6 numbers below the USB 3-4 as you said.
@@GregintheBox Hi Greg - Great video!

@@GregintheBox Wow, thank you for the detailed response. A lot more complicated than I thought, but I'll give it a try :)
New to electronics. You use both the PreSonus and the Mackie. Which one for what use?
I am hoping to:
1) take the XLR output from a Wireless Conferencing mic system and feed it thru the mixer to a Laptop connected to the Zoom meeting so remote participants can hear folks in the room, and
2) feed the audio coming from the remote participants on the Zoom meeting from the laptop over USB to this mixer and then out to a pair of powered speakers (rather than headphones) so that the room participants can hear the remote participants.

I'm a little confused here, if you put Zoom audio on USB3-4 does that not get mixed back into the PC and potentially cause feedback?
Great video!!
Thanks!
