Tam is a sentient creature who reacts to cues from his humans. He has a routine and feels secure and loved. He functions very well despite his blindness. I'd hardly call that stupid.
Hey, my iguana is trusting in this way too, and I've gone through the trouble to make numerous basking areas around my house for him. Tam is picture perfect, his spikes are so symmetrical, and his mouth closes so perfectly. You're a fantastic keeper, and I watch your videos all the time because it reminds me of the love I have for my own iguana.
Iguanas are far from dumb. I had Samantha from a hatchling for 24 years. She had an amazing personality was litter trained, came when called and used to love to sleep on our German Shepards.. Pretty sure she thought she was a dog... I miss her, she passed away about 10 years ago...
Their intelligence is just one aspect. What has always surprised and encouraged me about iguanas is their capacity for empathy. I have a bearded dragon now and though I love her, she doesn't show nearly as much emotion as my iguana back in the day.
Hi… Tam & fellow iguanas are NOT stupid. I have never met a ‘stupid animal’…. I have , however met several stupid humans… Tam is a very magnificent iguana who is intelligent, loving and faithful… ❤❤❤
First off... They are majestic beautiful beings... These reptiles are True Dragons... Most humans font know but a lot of your reality was changed in the 1800s while the narrative to fit the new world they wanted to build... Before the 1800 you had maps that showed the locations of dragons.. My best friend is 3 years old and they are very wise and intelligent beings... You have to have patience with them and males will test you when they reach puberty but if you can tame there hearts during that phase you will have a beautiful bond with a wonderful friend. My dragon comes to me when we call him he loves car rides he's very observant loves cats hates dogs and has a huge personality when allowed to be it self... Spending time with your dragon is a must and a lot of LOVE! Thank You for sharing your story and your friend he's very handsome.
