@@Psingularity That was the worst of all wars. I did not know that he lost his son. I'm going to hug mine a little more every morning now.
It is believed he fell leading an attack on an enemy machine gun position despite suffering a head wound.
Lost his son on the first day of the battle of the Somme. He is buried in France, I have been to his grave.

Jocko is such a prolific figure... He's been added to my "what would -blank- do?" list. I'm listening to this before I train on my bike for a couple hours, while I feel like stopping, when I hit the wall, and just before the session is over.
I needed this. Some days I have needed this every hour.
Jocko. You saved me honestly you showed me the discipline to achieve me goals. And I made it through my 6 year relationship when it failed and I broke. And I got after it. Made leadership at my job. Found a new girl moved on. Thank you. You showed me the path of unbrokeness

This poem means more coming from a guy who has been to many of those places...
I think every young male needs to hear If by Rudyard Kipling. Life is getting harder and harder for young men growing up in these challenging times. Fewer positive male role models, men are being made to feel guilty for being men and confusion about their place in the world. I thought life was difficult for me growing up in changing times; for my son, it is going to be a war.
This has to be my favorite one yet. Watched again and again and still has just as much impact every single time!
