I had 5 epidurals, they were great. I had long labors, and could only cope on my own for so long. I believe in Christ as well, He gave me strength. I also credit God for the inspiration that led to medical advancement. No shame either going for or against meds. I needed His strength to get dialated to 4cm prior to the epidural, that took my about 18-20 hrs each time. By then i was begging for relief.
Talk about relying on the Lord to get you through! 18-20 hours 😮
What do OBGYN’s say about it, or do they just leave it up to the mother?
@johnanderson1245 my Midwife already knew my position so we actually did not talk about it really.
I totally felt the same way. I’m a nurse also but my decided not to use it 2x before becoming a nurse for many of the same reasons. I don’t regret it.
I totally get it. I was given an epidural when my son was at full presentation. I was paralyzed for 8 hours after. I ended up with a pulmonary embolism probably because I couldn’t move my legs. I almost died. The intense labor is normal and healthy.
