I saw something similar walking to work just the other day...the fox seemed playful while the cat was just contrary. Given that cats will chase practically any animal its always a feline win!
I did see a video a while ago where a wild fox was trying to kill a cat. The cat managed to escape but that fox was definitely not friendly. They can be a real threat to cats if they decide to fight for real.
@@heyna1185It definitely depends on the cat and the fox. There are some huge muscular and clawed assassins near me. Much bigger dogs steer clear of them. They’ve seen other dogs become victims. No tiny fox have a chance against the cats here.😂

This is because a cat can cause injuries to a fox by scratching and biting, so while a fox can kill a cat, typically they'd rather not. On the other hand, if it's a small adult cat or a kitten, the fox might be more confident about hunting them. Either way, they are just surviving.
@@chikennuggers1429 well, I don’t know where are you have lived but I have lived all over and I have lived in Denver Colorado where foxes grow really big and they come down from the mountains to hunt cats in the neighborhoods. And yes they do prefer big cats little cats, or any cat they can catch. I have watched it myself. They are nocturnal so they come out at night to hunt and many peoples cats go missing.

The person may not have been in and just had cctv cameras up and so the recording when they got home ,but to be honest the foxes will lose against a cat attack ,cats can be very vicious when threatened,and even big dogs know how to behave around them and that is with caution.

That’s why I wrote that you may have had a cctv up and may not have been home,which I do have cctv and many times I see the foxes I get in my garden trying to get to the biscuits I have out for my cats but the cats can well look after themselves.

I would say that I am yet to meet an aggressive fox but I’ve met many that are only gentle once you’ve gained their trust 👍🏻
