Thank you for this review. They basically all sound quite similar to my ears with very little difference. I own the Boss MT-2 and SD-1 as well as a TC Fangs. I prefer the SD=1 but alternate between them.
Tbh, I completely agree. Some of these pedals have more extreme tone shaping options, such as the Lichtlaerm or the KHDK. But are we actually going to use them in the end? Because it seems what we deem as good tone is always somewhere in the middle/balanced. One of my favourites from all the pedals in the video is the Lichtlaerm Altar. The boost alone has more punch to it than most other boosts, it's awesome! And you have the drive section that allows for more unique tones from the pedal. The biggest surprise to me was the Boss DS-1. This cheap little pedal is so versatile! The only thing it cannot do is modern metal, but everything else it's just so great at!
@@trailofgiants7514 ....TBH I have been looking into buying one of the Lichtlaerm pedals, but they are only available from Canada, no one sells them in the US.
The TC electronic Spark mini is a good one on mine with my 8-string. Yes, it can Djent. Lol
Haven't tried that on yet. Maybe I should :-)
Good to know
