Wow. What a Good looking tree.
We see many trees like this in nature
Wonderful pruning techniques. Boxwood forest looks cool
Bonsai yang sangat indah sahabat, gaya grouping, menginspirasi 14:36
looks more and more like an old oak tree! nice work ☀️🤩☀️
Just placed my potted boxwood in the woods behind my house this fall. Got it early in my bonsai journey without understand how slow it will grow, especially when in a small pot. Gonna let it grow for years before coming back to it!
That main tree has a great future as head of the forest! I can't stop potting up cutting either.... More cuttings that actual Bonsai now... Ha!
If I’m translating this right, you’re essentially using your Saunders’ Larch Technique on each branch to force the tree to explode outward, giving you your pads with fine, dense branching.
I think I’m finally diggin it.
A Masterclass in boxwood pruning! Love it! 🐦💙
Thanka...
Those are very nice boxwoods. The main one has a great looking trunk. Pruning has done wonders for the forest.
👍👌👌
Awesome. It seems to be the semprevivens variety. The harlandii varienty may worth a try. I am not sure about its hardiness to your zone. But it has a nice corky bark, small oval leaves...
Nice planting. Some sort of park setting could suit it!
The main tree might even deserve its own pot. It looks like you have enough cuttungs to fill another forest.
Thanks 👍
Very nice...that forest has lots of potential in the future..👍🌲🌳
Those dreads are looking sweet Nigel! Especially pulled back like that
🍍
Love your new do. Very flattering
🍍
The boxwoods look great. Are you considering a particular landscape, or just a simple forest planting? Can’t wait to see its next phase.
I'm not sure Steve, hopefully something cool and fitting for the trees!!!
Foist
Not foist 😂😂
Considering boxwood's long association with hedges and topiary, I'm wondering if treating box like you do the big ficus by shearing the outside form into a mounded pyramid and then sorting out the structure would be a fair way to develop these.
Is it the removal of large roots that makes the leaves small? Cuz my box woods Don t get small like that. I leave lager roots cuz I feel it makes trunk grow.
Pls. Nigel what camera are you using ? I'm getting new one but I'm stuck what to buy becouse most of them have just 10min. recording time or so. With my usual 1 hour to do tree 10min. is nothing. THX
Looks nice. For some reason my boxwood has hardly grown the last two years. All the leaves have yellow edges, can’t figure it out. Anyone???? Thanks, keep growing
I’m in the same boat.
@@baldyeti I’m going to try repotting in spring and keeping it a bit dryer. Good luck with yours ✌🏻
They just grow super slow
Matt, you may well have Buxus sempervirens ‘Variegata’ , even slower growing than normal Box, having the pale leaf margins! ✌️
@@gayefanner731 Thanks for your response Gaye but I don’t think so. It grew at my daughters for years and was a regular green boxwood. It just got those yellow leaf edges the last two years after I potted it up.. New growth is solid green. I think it’s staying too wet. Possibility the soil’s ph will have to be checked in the spring.
Almost a boring video compared to your last one! ;-)
