2 months ago we went to a truffle hunt. It was like the miraculous fishing from the bible story. The 2 dogs where finding truffles EVERYWHERE. We where givin some at the end.
I am 42 and today i taste my very first truffle in my life in a vegan cheese marked 'Green Vie'. It was something totally different, but i think i gonna like truffles :) Greetings from The Netherlands.

Have never been cultivated? 70% of all truffles consumed worldwide are cultivated!
Not white truffles. Over 40 species, whites can't be cultivated....not as of yet anyway
Only 70% cultivated in China and other places. The rest are very expensive!
