When you truly understand the Aiki arts as a form of wrestling system, everything flows better. It's amazing how Wrestling blends itself in a fine manner with Aikidō, in the same way as Sumô influenced Daitō-Ryū Aiki-Jujutsu. That's amazing. @@Soaring_Hawknope! Judo and jujitsu are related but very different. Judo changed throws to allow break falls. They also changed the method of throwing so you don’t break something right before the throw. Aiki took the effectiveness out of Sumo
Aiki (a principle that comes from Kenjutsu) only enhanced sumo. AikiDO removed the effectiveness.
So sumo is explosive and powerful and akido is akido. Something is lost in the transition period.
That's aikijujutsu?
Aikido drastically changed things dramatically.
