    Brilliant review! I deeply respect the fair details you went into. This was not overbearing nor judgemental. This was an unbiased review. I am planning to make my wife a new PC, and she loves her RGB. This tower would be promising. Thank you for taking the time to make/share this video, sir.

      Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. Yeah the case is great, I really love it, I had to nitpick to find things I didn't like about it haha, but I always true to make my reviews positive but 100% honest as well.
      Also, I've been doing this since I was 13, this is my passion. I have seen many people that claim they know tons, claim they know it all, and they like to put people down, for not know as much as them, they typically know the least. People like that forget, we were all at one point noobs, we all started not knowing about PC's, and then one day we started learning, people lose site of that and try to bring others down, I like to help people learn and feel good that they did things all on their own, it really does make me happy and I am so very happy that comes across my friend.
      I am sure your wife will love it, and this case will show all your components and vertically, will make it look just a little more sexy, but the mount is separate, I have links for it in the description.... man.... I forgot to mention in this video that it was separate. I mention it in the build video, this is part of a series of videos on this case, but yeah I mention it there. It still looks nice horizontally, but this case did it great vertically. So very happy you enjoyed it my friend, and it was completely my pleasure.

    This case is among the smartest designs to date. Can facilitate an NH-D15 or most AIO cooling solutions. A caveat you don't always hear about is it can also fit the largest Tuf and Strix RTX 4090 and 4080s width with the 12VHPWR cable connector hanging off the side and you can put the side panel back on with those big fat GPUs installed in the horizontal (standard) orientation.. I can't say enough about this case. So easy to build in. Airflow is amazing to the point cold air blows out the back of the case. It includes high-quality hardware (screws, etc..) that you usually only find in cases costing 1.5-3x the cost. Just a well-built quality case that even allows you to show off your bling in style.

      LANCool3 as it supports a 420mm radiator, allows you to install up to 12 drives, comes with 4 x 140mm fans, so much better cooling, if you need that much, but the 216 is great too. So check out this video to see if you prefer this size.

    How does it compare to the Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX? I heard that this Lian Li 216 does not have dust filters like the 500dx from be Quiet does...

  • @egekaya007
    @egekaya007 Рік тому +1

    Do you think the absence of dust filters is a disadvantage? It must be getting a lot of dust in it. Also, does good airflow make it sound more?

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  Рік тому +3

      yes and no. With no filters, the air flow increases, but also the chance of sucking up dust and other things. Filters do cause a little more noise, since the air needs to go through the filters and causes the fans to rev up a little higher to compensate. If you will be getting some dust, you might benefit from this video, it is older but still relevant: ua-cam.com/video/YxoFkxO-Rco/v-deo.html

      @@ThisBytesForYou Thank you very much. If I'm not doing something that pushes the system too hard then I don't need much airflow. In this case, it would be more appropriate to choose a case with a dust filter and low air flow, such as Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX, instead of Lian Li 216. I guess it's also a quieter safe.

    It was between this and Corsair 400 for me. First I did not want a huge heavy glass side panel. Makes no sense to me to go down past the PSU with glass. Next point was the optional front control panel. So lots of USB and fan control up front. I do not like the front corners on the black case. They are painted dark blue for some strange reason. Extra cost just to look odd. So wish I had gone with white. The front corners do protrude to protect the metal mesh which is great but they show an unfinished edge which is also odd.

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  Рік тому +2

      I would say horizontal as they are designed many of them with tubes with liquid in there, not a ton or anything but enough to help cool it, they are not designed for vertical, all testing was done horizontal as that is what most have. This case is great for it though, but that is a concern.

    I am building mine right now using the Black Lian Li Lancool 216 case. I installed the following. Thermaltake LGA1700-BCF CPU mounting bracket and tossed the stock intel piece that warps CPUs. I also installed the Thermaltake Peerless Assassin 120 CPU Fan/Heatsink. I put in the new i712700K CPU with 64GB of Trident Z5 DDR5-6400 RBG Memory. Installing an Nvidia RTX 4080 FE graphics card with the 12VHPWR 90 degree connector. I am using an EVGA 1000GQ PSU. I am using and EVGA Z690 Dark Kingpin Motherboard with a WD 2TB SN850X Gen 4 NVMe SSD 7300MB/s. This is the 1st new computer I have built and the 1st new computer since 2001. Tired of old used hand me downs. I have a question about adding more fans. As far as you can tell would I be ok with the included front 2-160mm fans and the rear 120mm fan, or would you suggest adding more fans? I am considering adding a rear where the GPU exits. Would you be able to suggest exactly which Lian Li fans I should get for adding cooling below the GPU in the case and also which Lian Li fans would I need to get for above the CPU Fan/Heatsink since my CPU socket is rotated 90 degree on my Kingpin motherboard?

    With the GPU mounted vertically would it be possible to move the back fan to the outside of the case or was that not an option? So that you could have easier access to the GPU screws. you can, but it would be blowing air into the case because the grill in the back bulges out, flipped over, it would hit the blades and wouldn't work. From my experience the ARGB module is necessary to control the outer rims of the fans to get the most out of the front fans. I did plug them in directly to my Gen-2 header but I haven't been able to find or manage to find a software solution to control the outer rims for maximum pretties.
      If you're interested I can let you know if other rises cables are compatible with the mounting system of the Lain Li 216 case so others don't have to go through this uncertainty. From my research the distance between the mounting screws are slightly shorter than universal riser mounting ones.
      For ease of access and so it might help others I'll post it here as well. Apoligies if that's too much. Disgregard as needed.

      The build is whisper quiet and has veyr good performance, while looking sleek with the black aesthethics.
      I undervolted the GPU and CPU due to the losing slight performance to almost none for massively improved thermal and power efficiency being a good trade off.
      It will look even better with the upcoming parts. I'm probably going to make a short video showing it off if you're interested or want to do a build review if you do that type of thing."

    i am looking for a case for my first pc build. The noise level is important for me. I started studing fans and i was interested about "Arctic P14" (cheaper but good) and "silent wings 4" (really good, not cheaper), then i discovered this case and this video. About noise level, using the pc for gaming and sometimes videoediting for fun, do you believe is betther this li lancool 216 with his custom fans, or a "normal case" like the "deepcool CH370" or the "Asus Prime AP201" with the fans metioned above? (yes, i choose this two cases because i like them)
    I hope you can help this newbie :)

      Well, all the cases you are looking through are nice, but I have only reviewed one. If you keep the fans running through PWM and either on silent or maybe medium, the noise levels should be good. I worked for Alienware and Velocity Micro as a Product Development engineer for years (dell too since they bought us) and I have worked with people that cringe over noise, I don't get it. While i understand no one wants a loud system, (I have built many loud system), once you are using the system and you are into them, you don't pay attention to the noise, right next to me, the system I built here: ua-cam.com/video/13LhFMdbtBA/v-deo.html, less than 2 feet away from me, and I hear it, its not loud, but its 2 feet away from me.... if I want power, there will be noise. This system has 10 arctic fans, 3 fans on the video card, 1 on the power supply and one on the pump... it's not going to whisper, but if you adjust the PWM, it will be quietER. The Asus, probably will be louder, the Deepcool and Lianli will be much cooler.
      Depending how you set it up in the BIOS, it will be cool at first, but as you use the system, it will get louder, they all do. I hope that helps.

      So the 7800XT will be one of your loudest sources of sound, they are not quiet.

    Hello
    When I set the RGB lighting to a custom color, it always reverts to the default RGB settings when I restart the computer. I don't have an ARGB connector on my board and I'm using the acessory lan216-1 panel. I always thought that would be better. Is it possible to save the color settings somehow? May be a faulty panel?

      are you setting it based on the instructions? lian-li.com/product/lan216-1/

      It will throttle especially if the temperatures in your house are high like many people that like it 70's or 80'sF, I like it at 63°F but that still may be too hot, I am talking ambient temperature in your house, that makes a big difference. I would recommend the ASSASSIN IV, this may help too, since you are not using liquid cooling, which I would recommend: ua-cam.com/video/J5m5WBlPkfc/v-deo.html@@ogacules5827

    Когда меняешь планку для прокладки кабеля, меняются местами и размеры отверстий. Это серьезный недочет. Большая прорезь должна оставаться всегда наверху. Хотя и ее недостаточно. На это не обращает внимания ни один производитель корпусов. Очень жаль. А так корпус весьма не плох

    Hi! I just wanted to thank you for the lian lancool 216 video, it helped me, I like your content.
    Perhaps you'd be willing to help me out some further with a question if you'd be able to spare the time.
    I bought the ARGB moduble because I couldn't figure out how after plugging the fans into an gen 2 argb header to control the rims? Is the ARGB module necessary or did I waste money by not understanding something. I have the 650E-F motherboard.
    Again thank you so much for your work and best of luck.
    Oh and don't feel obligated or whatever to read or respond to this but I just wanted to share my cool build. Since you're into computers you might find this interesting and want to give and opinion. First time build.

      awesome bud, good job building your first computer, and a nice one at that. I never recommend over or undervolting as it can cause instabilities and you may never be able to find where those instabilities come from, because you will always be undervolted, they do a good job of properly setting all that, just a recommendation. A nice configuration as well, I love the Lian Li 216, it really is a great case.
