Also fun trick; you can literally just add any tag to the item data that isn't used by the game to 'mark' an item to be detected with commands. So like use "/give @p minecraft:stick{glow:1}" to get a special stick with the 'glow' tag and then use "/effect give @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{tag:{glow:1}}}] minecraft:glowing" to give everyone holding the stick the glowing effect.

With the speed attribute, if you use Multiply Base and then set it to 40 for example. you will have 40% more walkspeed. This also works with -40% making you slower.

I just found this and I love it so much. As a coder in training and someone who is working on a massive project in minecraft that resembles rpgs. This helps in so many ways. Like instead of coding in a brand new item I can make hundreds of unique items just with this.
The main thing I wish could happen is this being easily possible on bedrock in vanilla Minecraft as well. I have Java and bedrock, but when making custom maps or items like this, I do it on bedrock. This is because none of my friends has the java edition. But the problem is, java has so many possibilities and mechanics like this for making custom maps and items. So I really hope we will be capable of doing stuff like this in vanilla bedrock minecraft. Def joining your server though, all the custom items look sick
To be honest, I wish I had found stuff on the server, but they're all either very well hidden, OR their chests are always empty when I find them. I legit found a jungle temple full of skeletons, and I kept coming back for a solid week hoping to one day find something in the chest... and when I finally found something, it was generic loot (like gold ingots, iron nuggets, moss blocks...). The only cool loot I got after playing for two weeks on the server is a pair of boots with frost walker, near the giant ice wall, and that's because someone showed it to me. ^^
True I think it would be smart to let the players join differentworlds maybe with a max player count at 100 And maybe also a map showing the locations of the less powerfull treasures
I agree that they should add more variety to weapons and more weapons in general, like a hammer or mace. That would make PVP a lot more interesting. And we would also have some more lore options as well. It's something Mojang should 100% get around to sometime.
You definetly should take a look at this crazy project (pixel gpt or named deep-pixels) , it's text to item texture AI like midjourney but for minecraft !

There‘s a way you can get around the display error of the enchantments over level 10. Just copy the text of the enchantment into the description with the adequate roman number. That’s the way I did many items with lvl 12 (XII) or lvl 20 (XX)
fyi : you can add roman numerals above 10, you just have to hide the enchant tag and add them manually with lore (so for example, Unbreaking XI in gray color) and for attributes, I'd recommend using percentage, it's easier to control thanks for making this video, I love item customization and more people should give it a try !
There's a data pack for your server you could use called Arborium which greatly improves minecraft's default biome, and another data pack called Towns and Towers which adds new variation of generated structures, and finally I also use The Creeper's Code, which add a bunch of new features, including new pillagers, new ocean monument, and snails...

I found you can get way more customisation once you start using attributes although to do so well you kinda gotta either do testing or some funky maths Attributes can be either precentage based or addative but as far as im aware the generator dosnt allow for this, i learnt how to make this with a pluggin that allowed attribute editing and then another that allowed edits to Item lore could be nice if you dont want to kepe swapping between tabs all the time for testing i did my own sorta thing like this a few years ago where i designed a custom dungoen system where there was a server rule: you can only bring items tagged with Dungeon Item into dungeons it made for a really nice rouge like because it allowed me to set my own entire progression, with custom mobs from the generator and mythic mobs combined it can really hit a fun level of scaling
4:11 so i haven't messed round with java edition resource packs all that much, but this appears to be a translation key, so you could probably very easily set up a resource pack to make this text look less broken and then put the resource pack onto the server

Most of the video is spent learning about the hidden lore of Minecraft but at some point in the video, he explains why there are only low level enchantments and basic gear in the chests on the surface, better loot in dungeons and mineshafts, even better loot in the strongholds and the Nether Fortresses, and why the best loot in the game can usually be found in the deep dark's ancient cities 😛. N.B.: His video is technically pure speculation but it makes perfect sense. It connects a *LOT* of small lesser known details and some more widely known mechanics of the game through a single coherent storyline.
5:13 That Sword looks fire. Custom Weapons should definately be added to the Game with some Workaround like Smithing or Traders or Dungeon Loot. Skill Trees would also be fun so Players can progress and specialize on some Skill like making Insane Weapons that can be used in ultra difficult Dungeons But.... that will never be added. :(

If I make a item with a custom model and go to a random server, will people on that server also be able to see the model, or do they also need to have the same resource pack that I do? If that is the case than than I am disappointed. May as well just make it a mod at that point.
You actually can use the custom model data! The only requirement is that the players need a resource pack containing the custom models. A pack like that (paired with a datapack to make the custom items actually craftable) was actually used on my content creator SMP, Artifice SMP! Custom items are seriously cool, but they're even cooler if you actually know how to use the customModelData!
in 1.20 there will be a new language pack in minecraft which will support almost all languages and symboles, should make it easier for you to make custom names :) also you can make the enchants be invisible so the numbers wont be a problem
you can tke it further than that. lets just say that we had 10 wooden swords. you can change the custom model data for each of these swords. lets just say we wanted a dagger a great sword a rapier and a ninja star. you can not only change the texture for each item you can also change the attributes so on the rapier the attack speed will be very high but it will have less damage you can also make it more lively so the great sword would have low attack speed and a lot of damage but it also affects your speed. you can also use the mmo items plugin to make it even more lively
