- Check out the Kayak Load Out for camping with my Pelican Argo 100XR.
I am a huge supporter of testing out gear at home before you need it in the wild. Test fitting your kayak load out is just as important. I go over a quick rundown here for you.

Neewer Camera Bag
I love this bag because it can be used as a cross-body sling when you already have another backpack on. You can access from the front, top or side with easy access zippers. It also comes with positionable dividers so you can create the storage you need for your gear. Rain cover included.

I just purchased a pair for my wife and I. Can't wait to enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for the video.
thinking of doing the same... after 3 years , are you happy with them?
@drew_canada truth be told, I haven't been out for a while. It is a solid kayak and only about 40lbs so I can manage it myself. I'm a bit older and I struggle getting my feet under me to get out. My upper arm strength is shot because of a bad shoulder. That is not a weakness of the kayak, but me. I have to do beach launches, lol. Yes, I am very happy with that boat.
That boat is crazy deceiving in size! Well done video! Enjoy your trip!
Mine will be delivered this week! Thanks so much for the video, I feel even better about my purchase : ) So much storage!
@@ButtercupAndFernHomestead Thank you!! : )
You definitely had it packed full. Which is nice when you can figure that much storage
You have that thing loaded like a clown car. Great video!
I’m so excited, I just got the shipping notice for the two Argo100XR’s. This was the first “real” video I’ve seen. Wow, so much storage room! Have any videos of it on the water?
fantastic video. congrats and enjoy. very informative and detailed show of your kayak
Holy cow! Like literally you like fit a whole cows worth of stuff in there! How does it track on the water?
I was wondering if the argo 100 is big enough to hold enough gear for camping. Looks like it is, thanks for this video.
I'm impressed by how much storage area there is.
I've never camped out with a kayak, so I am wondering how you carry your gear on portages? Do you have some sort of duffel or sack to carry all those individuals items or do you just do multiple trips along the portage?
Cheers,
- Martin
I'm curious, how did you like the Argo after you took it out? Pros and cons?
I loved it. I did struggle to get out of the seat within the kayak. I blame that on my aging body and lack of fitness. It tracked well, held up perfectly and at 40lbs I could load it onto my car myself.
Thanks for your reply! I have my eye on one!
Oh and the fact that you replied earned you a new sub! 😊
I'm not doing outdoor videos anymore. I did a channel pivot about a year ago and I do more garden and cooking videos now.
That’s okay!
Good videos! Keep them coming.... I Subscribed!
Dang GIRL!!! You got it going on huh....LOL. Great video and information. I am 58 and retired and I have always wanted to do recreational kayaking, but all I did was work, work, and work. Now that I have the time, I'm really going to do some kayaking. It would be good for me to get into nature. After looking at your video, I really like that kayak of yours and its something that I can afford. Thank you so very much. After seeing your video and kayak, I think I decided to go with the Argo 100XR. 😀😁😀
Awesome! Where did you get this yak? I've been searching high and low for the angler model but it (or the regular XR model you have) seem to exist anywhere! I'd love to pick one up. Enjoy the new yak!
Think it would fit a 6 foot 3 inch 34 in. inseam 240 pound guy?
You sure sound happy about this kayak, Karen.. Stay safe
@@ButtercupAndFernHomestead It does not even have to be a sweet. That is only the challenge for this month. Entirely up to you. Not many rules here. Thank you for the reply
