They should call it Gyps-E
Nice to see such indigenous products also being tested and made known to a wider audience! Thumbs up!
I think the performance(off-road)of this Electric Gypsy is way ahead of IC Jimney
You are right. Besides, there is no EV that has such off road ability.
“Imagine being in your favourite off-roader and not hearing the engine really struggling.”
Well that’s a nightmare because the engine sound tells me a lot.
And that smoke..how will nature know as well. The more smoke and loud sound the better for that place
I am going to do this to my brand new jimny after 15 years
can these guys make an effordable electric Maruti 800 into total electric plz...
This is incredible ! Simply wow ! 😮❤❤❤❤ Gypsy Love 🖤
Omg what an awesome video
Can you do an electric or hybrid conversion of a Honda brio automatic?
The Wise Man cometh
Ngl when you think about it an electric gypsy actually makes a lot of sense because when off-roading a traditional engine requires a lot of momentum to build up the torque, but in in case of electric the torque is instant (although it would be quite intensive on the batteries)
ou are right. Besides, there is no EV that has such off road ability.
Near the cities...yeah probably.
But out there in the remote. No chance. Even on this EV's best day.
Barely any practical range though.
Gypsy is known for Lightweight so having Lithium batteries is very heavy but yeah 👍
And make sure offroad track has charging station 😂
Nice :)
Love it conversion cost ?
Why that electric buzz noise in between?. Isn't that too loud?
Hi, use these models in wild life safari
How about fitting the Jimny engine onto the old Gypsies... Possible ?
Jimny is actually Gypsy.
Gypsy is Indian name Jimny the international one
Rs. 8 Lakhs for the electric "engine" ??? Only economies of scale can bring down the price ...
Pure Jugaad…
Ship of Theseus
it's like a bodybuilder with no soul 😢
You need lifted suspension because classic suspension killed your back after long use
i have done this old santro happu 25000 km
So silent off roading. But this Gypsy rattles a lot. Clearly so old school basic rugged vehicle. How would Jimny would feel like when converted to electric?
MH have all new brand vehicle 😂
This is a good initiative. However, here are some facts for you to note, this is an MG410 narrow track body and it is not 20 years old. This one is from the late 1980’s or early 1990’s. It was in 1993 that they made the MG410W with a wider track to help it achieve better stability. If it were a real MG410 with its original gearbox it would have had only a 4 speed gearbox. 4 forward and 1 reverse.
More and detailed information on how long this E Gypsy take to attain full charge and what the effective real life range is, will help.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
8 lakh😮oh, how many can like to have at this price?oh No no no no no no😅
Very basic, considering the level of the international classic car EV conversion industry. They use much higher capacity batteries, better electric motors and stealth fabrication. Kits are available for retrofitting. Plus, gearless. Given the talent of our engineering college automotive competitions, I am sure that a better product can be developed
No. It's not
Shoudnt talk about the interest with military for a electric vehicle . Unless it comes with a very heavy range and low failure rate . This is just a show piece on real conditions. One more badly put video
