- Here's what you can expect learning to fly the DJI FPV Drone with the GoPro Hero 9. The DJI FPV drone is HARD to fly haha! It is not like other DJI drones, and there is a massive learning curve.
Overall though, if you're willing to put in the practice time in the simulator and in real life, then this drone is SO much fun to fly.
I'd highly recommend mounting a GoPro to the drone. I am not super impressed with the image quality of the onboard camera from DJI (which is strange because DJI usually has stellar camera quality, but not this time).

Flick to normal/sports mode before landing. It'll save you damaging parts in the future :)
haha yes I've learned that the hard way 😂 my ego was too strong at first thinking I could stick the hot landing haha
I love this video I feel the same way I got my DJI Fpv bout two weeks ago and is freaking hard on manual mode

I just got my DJI FPV 2 months ago. I've been practicing a LOT on the DJI virtual flight app. Today, I finally got 5 stars on 2 of the 3 maps. Its VERY DIFFICULT

I needed this video. I just purchased a BetaFPV Cetus Pro kit, a slightly smaller and less expensive beginner-to-pro FPV kit and my first attempts at flying it have been a little frustrating, but even this video has me excited to get out and practice more. I've flown the simulator a few times, but know if I can keep working at this one, I may just pull the trigger and buy this DJI FPV drone.
Dude nice! Yeah it's not easy. But if you really want something, you won't let difficulty stop you. Difficulty is the one excuse history never accepts. Keep at it!

is your gopro mounted on a smallrig? you get any cautions or loose your home refrence H while mounted on top?
I didn't lose home reference or get any cautions. But it does compromise battery life obviously with extra weight. But I usually prefer camera quality over drone performance.

If you think DJI's drone is exciting - wait until you try a self-built FPV drone that can do insane moves and be completely manually controlled (and fixed by you!)
No need to crash land. just change to normal mode and land. it will save you $$$ on the long run. Get a simulator on pc. DJI controller is compatible but not the googles. the PC simulators are way better than the DJI App.
Yup wish my ego didn't get in the way the first couple flights trying to manually land it with less than 2% battery left 😂 I def just switch to normal mode now. And yeah I was meaning to get the PC simulator too... but then I got impatient and just decided to send it haha. Good points Carlos!

@@Editer38738 need to insure thru state farm 60 bucks each policy (crash) and you don't need the drone for reimbursement ( sinks in a lake ) they pay for the drone less sales tax

I don't mean to sound nasty but you wasted about 2 mins of this video unable to switch into manual mode because you didn't read the manual or any if the zillion videos showing you how to do this.
Also if your throttle is too much, turn down the values in the settings :)
