Wisbech to Upwell Tram Project Phase 3 Memento at Outwell

The unveiling of a further memento to the Wisbech to Upwell Tramline installed at Outwell as part of the ongoing project. This is Phase 3 and was unveiled by Philip Doubleday. The tramline was an inspiration for characters in the Thomas the Tank Engine series of books written by the reverand Awdry. Toby the Tram Engine and his coach, Henrietta and later, Mavis, the Drury diesel tram were all based on rolling stock used on the Tramway. The history of the tramline is being preserved by the mementos currently at Outwell and Upwell with more to follow.
