Personally I don’t like it, I know it’s not why but to me it feels kinda cheap, like why bother letting anyone else voice when you can pitch shift one line and call it good?
@@ZorillaMyrid181 it adds a lot to the camaraderie in game in my opinion, just like how all the dwarves look like identical twins. Even though they are all the same dwarf with the same voice lines and appearance, the player customization and class specific voice lines/voice pitch give each their own identity. They are all familiar yet distinct, makes their bickering with each funnier to me too.
@@ZorillaMyrid181 | The simple answer is that Ghost Ship is a very small studio, and online games of this size are very expensive to maintain. They don't have the funds to hire additional VAs. Mission Control is voiced by one of the coders, if I recall.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of AC DC personally... So Some of these lines just kinda grate on me. I do like the laser pointer lines, if only it's easier to ping the damn zippy dwarves. I would like some driller specific lines based on their primary loadouts... Drill and grill for the flamer, sludge'em and stomp'em for the sludge pump... Freeze'em and fist'em obviously for the cryo.

My favorite line of the new bunch has to be “YOU LEAF FONDLING SON OF A MUD GOLEM, WE’RE ON THE SAME TEAM!” I can imaging scout saying that as he is falling to the floor, downed, because the Engie happened to fire his fat boy at the bugs in the cieling that scout was dealing with.

If you're playing solo, you're kinda missing out. One of the best parts of the game is fighting huge swarms as a team. Even if you're playing solo, I recommend joining a public game every now and then.
The best part of this game is being absolute dumbos during Haz 4 and then also getting overrun with a surprise swarm on Haz 5 and trying to clutch but then failing miserably because somehow you pressed the right trigger at the point of reviving so you shot a Fat Boy shot which kills you but also instant revived your teammate at the same time. Don’t ask why that’s so specific.

Haz 4 Point Extraction with a bunch of randos. Bulk Detonator and a Dreadnought got sent on us,with minimal ammo. One of us left the area alive,a Gunner,we were speaking to him "Go,for fuck sake,and try to kite the big boys" then he got a Zipline installed,but that is when,out of fucking nowhere,a big swarm of Xenobite(you know,those brain-looking shocking creatures) just spawned and began to zap him so hard that he needed to detach himself MIDWAY when he was high enough to get downed and just got insta-downed like as mentioned.
Awe, I've seen this cool art from Reddit, the imagination of Goblins being the NPC's on the station as janitors since they're not so different from Dwarves (They are short, like shiny stuff, and are probably overworked to such lowly jobs due to their poor knowledge)
Out of all the things I was hyped for this season the voice lines were the main thing that I did not expect but I ended up loving the most. It just makes the characters just feel so much more alive.
I think wholesome in this context is more indicative of the team cohesion aspect of the game, as in a completed team, but the use of the word wholesome has just been associated with cringe reddit stuff so much that it's the first thing to come to mind. When I see a "wholesome" image/video, I can feel good about it...until I read "awww, so WhOLeSOmE" and want to off myself... And "your cute" is said to antagonize one another, even the way they say it is like they're teasing you. "Aw, how cute, you killed a guard all by yourself" "Leave me alone, or you're next leaf muncher"
