Correction: Difficulty level doesn't affect your ability to cure zombie villagers, it affects the chance that a villager being attacked by a zombie will transform into a zombie villager (as opposed to just dying).
Man, scaffolding with a boat and lead has been my go to method for villager “relocation” over long distances. Course a bucket of water is always good to have on hand when you need to get up steeper cliffs. Go up top and make the waterfall then use the lead and swim on up. Once you figure out the basics then it’s not bad at all. My last move had me relocating a “volunteer” (he jumped in the boat willing) over 300 blocks away across a river and over hills to his new prairie home. Got him tucked in before night time and even watched over him for the cycle just to make sure nothing spawned in on him or anything weird occurred. Went fairly smoothly. Short distances though the mine cart is just fine.
@@DefaultCommenter you can use scaffolding to get villagers in boats up and over hills. Say there is a spot that you can’t get the boat with the villager to hop up when pulling with a lead, you can stack scaffolding, climb it and with the height advantage your able to make the boat hop up now.
The last one did surprised me, and it was very satisfying to watch 👏👏👏 Personally, I use mostly rails and zombie villagers, even now after the balance to the discounts. I find it easier to assign them beds and professions that way.
@@Prowl8413 Oh, don't get me wrong. That was magnificent! Just a little too tricky for me. Still, if you want to consider visiting my world for help moving villagers, I'd be thrilled
8:10 Actually, you don't need Neatherwart for weakness potions; however you will still need to go to the neather for blazerods, to make and fuel the brewing stand.
One improvement on the push method for short distances is to hold out an emerald. The villager will tend to freeze and show you there trades. They can then be pushed into place. Helpful for getting them into boats and small adjustments.
I'm going to have to try the elytra/boat method. That looks fun! I normally move them through the nether. But sometimes they get lose and end up in lava 😂
@Prowl8413 theres i a new better way to move villigers. Place villagers in a boat, fishing rod the boat and then go as far away before it breaks and it will send bout flying in direction you want.
@@aggrocd1985 actually no. In java you can only go up hundreds of blocks and is limited by how chunks load. On bedrock the boat doesn't get flung as high like in java, but it can actually be flung out of render distance. You can try your self to test it. I would go almost till rod breaks connection in the direction you want, maybe piller up some. It should send it flying out of render distance if done properly. The further away you are from the boat when you use the rod the further it goes.
Ive been moving them with boats since I started my world. Mostly because I couldn’t get powered rails for a while. I haven’t tried with mine carts yet, but that’s my next project. I’m going to try my hand at another iron farm.
@@Prowl8413 it changed right around the time they adjusted the curing discount. It was over shadowed by that and other proposed villager trading changes
Bonus tips for those who don't know. You ONLY need blaze rods to weaken zombie villagers. Step 1: get brown mushroom + sugar cane + spider eye. Step 2: get blaze rods Step 3: craft fermented spider eye + brewing stand. Step 4: use brewing stand with fermented spider eye to make weakness potion. (No netherwart needed). Step 5: spice it up by taking 3 potions and fill a cauldron and then make a bunch of weakness arrows and shoot them with the arrows. 100% accuracy and 3 potions gives you 64 arrows = 64 cures from 3 potions. ± 20 cures per potion. 🙂
I got one half way from my base with the job & bed method boxed him up, built a Minecart that lead to my base & he escaped the fyckin box when I opened it… Short to say my patience was short & he didn’t live long afterwards
i spent 4hrs last night transporting villagers in minecarts and rails not even getting them home (new world so i didnt have resources to make alot if rails only a little less than 2 stacks so i had to break then replace iver and over) just for me to be able to use boats😭😭😭
Best method for Java is - making a dirt path yourself thats about 30 blocks over the floor level, which means your eliminating anything that crosses your journey when going normally.
I suspected the boat was the best way in my case, I spawned on like a large island that is about 500-800 blocks out from any other land on all sides, and within like 1500 blocks on about 50% of the land I've explored so far, there's been about 10 total villages. My first two finds yielded great, the rest I've gotten a total of 10 iron lol, and my island's biggest flaw is lack of precious metals so that bit's been rough.
Are you talking about yielding iron from an iron farm? How are you getting iron otherwise? Also, if you dig down on your really big island you will find lots of ores.
WHY 10?!! You only need 2 to start an endless villager breeder. Moving 10 would take 3 or 4 times longer than moving 2 and starting a breeder. You would have 10 villagers in a matter of a few Minecraft days.
They need to up the graphics a little bit and allow the ability to turn villagers into slaves. The ability to give them a task like find wood kill pigs and so on
Both of those things would destroy what Minecraft is. Minecraft is moddable for this reason. That's why they are there. And they're free. You can make the game look like real life if you want to. Minecraft will forever be the graphics it is now and it will always be good. Villagers have jobs already. Having something find stuff for you, in the world, verses having to go out and look for it, would kill the game.

Less than a minute in and a villager is willingly going into where you push it? I call hacks.. what sort of behavior pack is this?
