That's a tough question. Since we have owned our E-Pro (1 year), we have camped in about 50 campgrounds. In FL, we really liked Alexander Springs Recreation Area (no hookups) due to it's remoteness (very quiet). And it has a nice spring. Also in FL, the Salt Springs Recreation Area (FHU) was very nice with a very nice spring. Probably the nicest CG with awesome views was the Gros Ventre CG in Grand Tetons NP (Water & Elec.). There are many more that were very nice but we have not returned to any CG yet. We are too busy exploring new ones!!
@@lifewithstephanie42 Awesome! If you do schedule for Salt Springs, don't make the mistake that I did. There is a Salt Springs RV "Resort" and the Salt Springs Recreation Area. The Salt Springs "Resort" is anything but that. It was mostly for seasonal campers and the facilities were really run down. Some reviews that I read for the "Resort" had descriptions, and photos, of the SSRA. The reviewers were also confused. The SSRA is less than a mile from the "Resort" and it has a very nice campground, and springs. Highly recommended! With the Grand Tetons, well no clarification is needed. A gorgeous part of the country and the Gros Ventre CG is very nice and relatively inexpensive, particularly if you have a NPS pass; but it can be difficult to schedule.
You will never guess what happened. I got reservations at Bahia Honda SP (although NOT beachfront but hey, I will take it)! I used a service called Arvie, which constantly checks for cancelations and automatically schedules you for days that you want when they become available at a CG (I paid $19.95 for one month). In our quest to visit all of the FL SP's that have RV access, I assumed this one would be the most difficult to schedule. We will be there during Christmas break and with taxes and fees, it came out to $35/night (senior discount). Certainly beats the over $200/night we paid last year! Safe travels!
So much Awesome in this video starting with the shirt message, the drive footage and the walking trail. The video tour with music and the camping supper. Sunrise with coffee is one my favorite time of day made better while camping. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Bonjour! wow what a beautifull place! sad that it is 21 hours from my home :( we had some snow flakes the other day! thank you for sharing, it keeps me warm! take care and "bonne journée"!
One thing nice about living in FL is you can camp year round, unlike up here in cold country. I was down from PA in mid Jan to visit a sick aunt who was living in Sarasota. I tent camped at a hip camp. I do have a camper about the size of yours, but every time I towed to FL, something major happened to my tow vehicle. Thanks for sharing your camping!
Nice video Stephanie! We live in FL also and our goal is to visit all FL state parks, particularly those That allow RV's. We also have an E-Pro (2019 19BH) and have visited only 2 so far (Ft Clinch and Tomoka). We have reservations at Highlands Hammock next weekend. We have another 3 scheduled for spring break of 2024. The most difficult one to get into is Bahia Honda (FL Keys). FL state parks fill up fast, particularly when the snow birds arrive during winter; the chances are better if you can schedule during the week. Thanks for pointing out the desirable sites in Gamble Rogers. I am going to see if we can secure a reservation in the coming months there. Take care and safe travels!
Can't beat coffee, sunrise and the ocean! Thanks for the positive video we are watching on a Sunday evening to start off our work week right! Keep those adventures coming. If you ever get to Turtle Beach Sarasota we would love to see you try it! It's a tiny sleeve, but lovely area.
@@lifewithstephanie42 a great trip for you and the E-Pro would be the total solar eclipse trip in April 8th 2024 next spring! It’s the last one visible for a long time. The path of totality in Texas is the place to see it!
How much in advance did you reserve your site at Gamble Rogers? Did you schedule during the week? I just checked and the earliest opening they have at the moment is June (not really surprised). Cancellations do occur but you have to move fast!
I reserved my spot one week before I went. There was a 4 day slot open and it was Teusday-Friday. It was probably a cancellation. So maybe check the website frequently for openings as cancellations happen all the time!
@@lifewithstephanie42 Thanks! It is certainly easier to schedule during the week. When school is in session, we only have the weekends available and certain periods like spring, Thanksgiving and Christmas break. During summer break, we are usually gone on extended road trips (we went from FL to WA state, and back, this summer). We do get lucky locally sometimes but like you say, cancellations do occur. Maybe we will get lucky! Safe travels!
I would love to know what campground is your favorite

I've had several recommendations for Salt Springs, I added it to my list for sure! The Tetons are on my bucket list also! @@Road_Trip_Warriors

@@Road_Trip_Warriors awesome! Ok so glad it worked out for you ☀️ safe travels to you too
You know you are in Florida when you have a sand campsite lol. Amazing campground!!
I enjoyed that. Thank you for putting it together, and of course the positive thought of the day is a nice touch.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it ☀️

My 2nd favorite campground after Ft. Desoto!
That one is on my list ☀️
Very nice park. Thank you for sharing!

It is so nice to be able to camp year round for sure! ☀️
Man that dinner looked killer! Haven't had fish since last night, salmon, lol.

Looks nice. What was the cost of the camp site?
Cost varies for ocean side and river side. Roughly about 45 per night with taxes, fees and such
