It was all luck. That hippo just happened to be right there at that right time. It wouldn’t have swam across the lake to just save a gazelle.

Yeah, I kinda like hippos. They really don’t bother anyone and go about eating their tons of vegetation. They provide a good balance to crocs in the water because they’re the only things crocs actually fear.

Is anyone else bugged that nature is so violent and cruel, or is it just me?
It sucks. But unfortunately wild animals don’t have a high enough intelligence to be civilized like us humans. Do you think that if every animal species were as intelligent and self aware as us, they would resort to violence to eat every day?
That’s only to many of us because civilization has made us soft. But don’t be fooled if humans today were to starve long enough they would do some things which do t quite seem normal now
It really is scary, and we are animals also.

Hasnt been sighted since 2005, i believe it could still be alive, as because of its size...it has no natural predator
Gustave was reportedly spotted in 2015, dragging an antelope into the water.
