This episode has an insane amount of depth. I could think about all the different possible meanings for like hours
Pretty creative depiction of purgatory. One of my favorite episodes.
It’s actually so cool that what there hearing on the speakers is what’s happening before the accident… and now they have to figure there way out to be able to be “free” of detention which is rly an alternate world between ours and the underworld! I love this episode!! By far one of the better ones

@@MegaMegajennifer I think it means the place is in their minds and affects their lives , even after leaving. Theyll always metaphorically be in "detention"

When in High school I made a huge effort to never end up in detention because I was terrified of something like this happening. I love the Twilight Zone as it is me favorite show and I'm glad they mentioned it here because this kinda was like the Twilight Zone. Being stuck in a perpetual hell with other kids forever and ever. Nightmare of me life.

It's fun seeing these kids think they are in detention when really it's some kind of limbo or something.
A place to figure out there unfinished business or learn a lesson or learn about themselves. Gives them a chance to show even a bit of regret or remorse or sorry or guilt.
Sort of like a dream world so they don't remember that they even died or what they did to land detention. They don't remember details yet going with it.

I watch haunting hour everytime even at night
me too at this point
I think watching the haunting hour at night makes it more creepy, and I love creepy.
This shows an example on why you should not have pride and envy on yourself and others. It also shows that every bad thing has its price to pay

my guess is their in a different dimension and kate igz is going to hell for being greedy the announcer guy is selfishness and the other girl is another sin
then at the end god gives them another chance to try again after realizing what they’ve gone wrong
It can be interpreted many ways but I personally think it is about 3 people who really messed up and they were sent to a sort of twilight zone. That kid in the glasses I think doesn’t necessarily control it but he must have been stuck there for a while and is sort of like the keeper of it. And again this is all how I interpreted it.
It was like a premonition, where you see what's going to happen before it happens. However, in this case they all had the premonition, and were able to come together to change the horrible outcome that could have resulted had they not realized their "bad" ways and fixed them. The premonition basically saved their lives as they were originally all going to die.
Three kids think they're in detention, but it turns out they died in an accident during homecoming that was caused by a voting scandal and the Goth girl rolling a smoke bomb under the float. They're stuck in the afterlife.
The detention was hell and they all suppose to be dead ? 🤔
The detention was an allegory for being in limbo, between life and death. All three of them had the chance to either be better people or die as punishment for being manipulative (Kate) rigging the vote (Henry) or seeking revenge (Audrey)

Audrey, Kate and Halftime were trapped in purgatory after the float crashed but after mending the relationships between them they earned a second chance.
