Real question. If Rudolph went through all that trouble and had an official death certificate for his son made, wouldn’t Kate have been able to use that as grounds to finalize the sale? I know they don’t mention it, but genuinely curious.
Ah, Oscar. As much as I enjoy experiencing this game the suspension of disbelief required for Oscar almost kills it for me every time. He's also the reason I've never forgotten KaTe! WaLkEr!'s name.
Kate: "Broken, Disactivated, worn out, Damaged, Un-Plugged . . ." Nostalgia Critic: "She has passed on, this person is no more, she has ceased to be, she's expired and gone to meet her maker, she's a stiff, bereft of life, rest in peace, pushing up daisies, her metabolic processes are now history, she's off the twig, she kicked the bucket, she shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the freaking choir invisible. This is an Ex-person!"
I am puzzled why Kate wastes time being ambiguous with everyone and doesn't just say outright, "The person whom I came to meet just died and now I need to locate the heir who will need to finalize the sale." How hard is that to say?
Her boss may be a reason she's a bit of a doormat. He doesn't seem to be able to believe "things didn't go as I, the boss, planned" is a possibility. Too bad Kate placates him instead of standing up for herself though.
I think it's actually easier to build a talking clockwork robot than a talking computer robot because of the reliance on physical mechanisms and the fact that all the required physical mechanisms are there on display in a human body. The hard part is how to recreate those mechanisms using machienable materials.
I love these two games, flaws and all. Oh yeah, I know there was a third one, I bought it and played five minutes of it and then wondered WTF does this have to do with anything? Which is sad because I hoped it would follow up on the ending of S2. SPOILERS AHEAD While the second game concludes the full story in a mostly satisfactory manner I still felt unfullfilled. I love Oscar and how he was treated at the end gave me a sour taste. Hans I do not like as much. I mean he is clearly a genius when it comes to automaton design but he can be a d*ck. THe third game was not really a Syberia game at all, just a hear and soulless cash grab better left forgotten.
Guy's name is spelled Rudolf and Rudolph in the same article. And wait, that guy has been expressing that you don't see many people because they're moving out due to not finding jobs at the factory? Yet Anna's death was recent? Man, people are leaving town SUPER fast, or am I getting some detail confused?
Which does not match the newspaper saying she was 86 when she died; but then again, newspapers getting someone's age at death wrong happens all too often.
I really like the look of this game. reminds me of Myst.
A newspaper clipping and a wax recording? Even Gabriel Knight found better treasure when he raided the Gedde tomb and got Mosley’s wallet.
"Kate Walker, does this unit have a soul?"
I love this game... its like reading a novel..... have played it several times....and love playing it every time!
Maybe it's just the picture quality but this game has very nice background graphics for 2002 standards.

Now this will be great to watch while eating, love your content!
So many things that remind me of Myst
The forklift makes me nervous
That thing is a gigantic safety hazard.
I get alot of steampunk vibe watching this game.

I am really enjoying the unique architecture in this town.
13:16 Looks like the Myst forechamber to me...

And here I always wait for her to say “Disassembled.” Misplaced nostalgic wishing.
@@Weaponwitch NO DISASSEMBLE!!!!!11!!

Women.
Because bad writing. You'll get used to it. It's rather abundant in Benoit Sokal games.

Ah Oscar strange fellow
24:37 Falling man from Myst, but disemboweled.
29:59 *Most people are happy they haven't met their Maker* 🤣
ahh I knew this was the same creator as Amerzone from the look of it!
The gears in Oscar are *_VERY_* small.
Auxiliary soul? Is that like reincarnation?

13:13 "Unless the middle one says Joe." Hahahahaha
Love your videos! Keep em' coming quickly!
Automaton-Jesus died for our automaton sins.
😆😆😆
I was thinking he deactivated for the automatons' sins.
Being reactivated after three days is much less impressive for an automaton, though.
Background music is Early Tomb Raider game.
I think they misspelled Vorarlberg, it's a region in Austria.
got to remember... this is a fictional place!

I think the factory was in decline for a while before Anna's death. That's why she was willing to sell it.
@@Dilandau3000 Ah okay. Good, I'm worried I'm picking the story apart too much. I am liking it so far.
wow cool, I'm the first view. Long time watcher, you make amazing videos!!
Actually, when I arrived it said "no views".

Anna was born in 1914, not 1954.

Does anyone else think Oscar sounds like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory? Bazinga!
