  • Our Honda Davidson 670cc V twin chopper build is coming along well! We fabricate and install a jackshaft, scuff, inspect, and paint the frame, and give the fuel tank and rear fender an awesome worn look. We also finish welding the engine mount, install the engine, jackshaft, and chains.

      Some dirty old used whitewalls would probably suit it.
      I kind of like the bias-ply-look of the current tires though, maybe they can test out some wheel paint/fake whitewall products on those...?

    I first thought you had lost your mind, building a Honda Chopper with a go-cart engine. But the project has grown on me. Keep it up, guys. You have a winner.

    I loved go karts. Watching the 670cc black widow build made me wanna build a go kart. I currently have a Honda gx160 and a I am picking a frame up tommorw for 25 dollars. It took a lot of work to find a go kart for less than 100 dollars. Love your work!

      Use a ball of Aluminum foil on rusty chrome. Takes off rust and doesn't scratch the chrome.

    I feel a sandblast of frame to really check those welds was needed. Anyway I'm glad to see a legal 670 being made

    I recently did my first patina paint job and I was so happy with it. It's easy to do and looks so cool. I also used a bit of white vinegar then some salt and peroxide to give it some rust before I clear coated it. Turned out so good!

    I find myself giggling whenever John starts doing a rap-up for the video "we were hoping for a runner today, but" I hope he comes to realize that having a runner is important yes but how you get there from where you started is far more interesting and at least to me a lot more fun to watch

    Okay - I was a *little* skeptical during the opening scene when you were clearing the tank... but I'm sold. Holy crap those tins look AMAZING. Do a single seat so you can see more of the rear fender!!!

      Harbor freight has a large one big enough to fit this fender for half of what they paid for the predator .

    I work as a detailer at my local Harley Davidson shop go and get you some Bare metal polish it will bring your rims out so much better and even leaving some of the rust depending how much you apply. Also get you some wheel and tire and bring back those I conic wheels.

    The patina paint is sweet! You don't have to worry about hurting that frame, you guys could build a better one quite easily.

    If you ditch the King and Queen seat. May I suggest a springer seat from like an old Schwinn bicycle. I am sure All out Bikes (four oaks NC!) would have something . It'll save your tail bone. And your spine.. It'll be fine!

    When cleaning the chrome,, use sos or brillo pads,, cleans and polishes better than plain steel wool. Used it many years ago to clean the chrome on bicycles.

    You guys remember that 9hp Subaru in the Yerf Dog? I have that same motor in my old American Sportworks Trail Wagon go kart thing and it is the best motor in existence. I’ve had it since brand new for almost 9 years and done nothing to it! It still runs today!

    A good combo to clean up rust on wheels, chrome parts, etc. is Brasso and fine steel wool, or Brasso and aluminum foil.
