I was asking that same question. Because I suffer from ptsd, depression, panic attacks, fear, insomnia that lasts 4 days until my body gives out. And my own family members that have been responsible for contributing to me getting ptsd constantly call me crazy, sick, etc etc and make me feel im not even worth the love of God. Like Jesus came to shed His blood for them and everyone else; but not me because I'm not worth anything. And it makes me doubt my salvation because I wonder does jesus love me? But then I go to His Word.
Christ Jesus said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.
I should like to know regarding hebrews 3 and 4. What does it mean to be "partakers of christ" if we hold fast the profession of our faith firm unto the end" etc and entering into the rest in hebrews 4 etc thanks
The Hebrews are Israelites, aka God's chosen people. Their sacrificing of animals was a foreshadowing of Christ's death. Their faith was in animal sacrifice, now the writer is saying, "you have followed God correctly in sacrificing until now, now that the revelation of Jesus sacrifice has fulfilled the true meaning of your faith in sacrifices, now believe in him" Hope this helps.
@@fernandodeleon4115 Hebrews breaks down the Old Testament and it’s meaning/shadows of the new covenant. You aren’t making much sense at all. Confused. All books are for us. None are just for Jews and not applicable to our life. Heresy is a fruit of Satan. Heresy is worst than many sins. Not to be taken lightly considering that was Jesus #1 complaint in revelation. Don’t be a heretic. Lean not on your own understanding. Trust God. Ask him for wisdom. All of the word is for us. All have to endure in faith until the end of their life. Or just don’t get involved with God if you want to leave the faith later on. Bible says it’s worst for us if we start and leave than to have never entered into Covenant with Christ
Amen. Sometimes, I wish to be in heaven already. Paul did, too. I guess we all do. But yeah, we are here to proclaim the gospel and to help our brothers and sisters come to Christ. That's really the reason we stay here. It's all for the kingdom. Philippians 1:23-25 [23]For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: [24]Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. I know 100% that God is real and that I will stand before Him one day. Although I have the fear of not being saved. I dedicate my life to Him and want only to do everything that has with Him and Hos kingdom to do. But probably because I have abandonment issues through my lifetime, I can't seem to accept that He would have paid for me because I haven't gotten any "proof" from Him that I am. And there are a lot of verses in the Bible which makes me worried and anxious about this. Like, if you have the Holy Spirit you will know that you are saved. Therefore, I'm not saved as of now with my thinking/feelings, right? I place all my hope in Him and that I would be welcomed home. But hope and faith aren't the same thing (in my understanding, at least). I'm so anxious and depressed about this since my biggest fear in life is that He will turn away His face from me and throw me away. This is the only thing I can't "afford" to get wrong, but it always seems that I will since I can't get rid of these fears I have. Because God and His judgment are more real to me than anyhing physical in this world I can see and touch. So my fear of God and His power over me if I'm not forgiven just makes me devastated and tremble. Every Christian seems to have positive and loving connections to God, and they have like dreams and outer experiences about Jesus, etc. That's what I want/need, but I get nothing, yet I'm giving Him all I have. All my life is His, and I can't possibly do anything more. (And no, it's not that I believe in work based salvation. What I do and want with/for God is based purely on emotion and a longing to be with Him and serve Him). I know that I can't do anything to get into heaven, so therefore, I can't know that I will receive that gift and blessing.
The whole taking my own life was something I struggled with for months. Spent many painful nights begging God to just take my life so I couldn't sin against him anymore. Of course, at the time I was in a church that emphasized heavily the idea that we can lose our salvation so a part of it was abject terror of hell and eternal separation from God. I still struggle with it sometimes though. I know and believe that Jesus is my savior but I'm just so sinful. Even so much as a foolish thought is a sin. No matter how much I tell myself the gospel I can't shed the fear and bondage that works based doctrines have put on me. It's awful.
You don’t have an older Christian who can help you? There is no condemnation for sins in Christ. That’s the first teaching. Stay away from demonic churches with obelisks on the building.
The gospel: freedom from the works of the law. Watchman Nee The law requires man to work for God. “If we work for God sin shall rule over us. The wages of our works is having sin rule over us. The wages of sin is death. The law condemns our works. But if God works for us. Sin shall not have dominion over us. Under law we work. Under grace God works. Whatever requires effort on our part is not victory. Victory comes freely to us.” Do not try, but yield/die. Do not strain but rest. Do not fancy to think you can change yourself to make you a little better. Even after 50 years you will still be the same. Victory/salvation/sanctification/glorification is Christ living in and for us. “Thank God I cannot; but Christ can”. Do not be afraid of men’s worst temper or greatest pride. Only be fearful that men do not see Christ’s ability. As well as their own inability. It is good to thank God for the victory but also our weakness. For the power of Christ is made perfect in our weakness. “I thank God that _____is most corrupt. I thanks him once again that Christ manifests his power in me. I confess I have neither goodness,or holiness, or righteousness or patience. But I thank and praise you that I have not and will not. Hereafter Oh God I commit my all to you. From now on it is your son who overcomes for me.” We must cease all efforts to please God or overcome ourselves. The 2 conditions for victory. 1)yielding/repenting: Negative side. We cease from the flesh and self efforts. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” 2)believing: positive side. I believe He lives in me and for me. And I believe he loves me and gave himself for me. And gives himself to me. Believe in Gods facts. Gods facts……… 1)the covenant:the exchange. Our ashes for his beauty. The oil of joy for mourning. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. 2)accomplished fact: what God has already accomplished in us and for us at the cross. It's an expansive question you posed at the start, but the simple principal that defines Christianity is not one that needs to be pondered. 'Our lives are not our own'. If we don't understand the gut wrenching gravity of that then we have not surrendered and we are not Christian. Failure to truthfully concede with understanding to Galatians 2:20 will be the cause of 99% of professing christians failing to spend Eternity in relationship with the Creator. Therefore we conclude a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH apart from the deeds of the Law. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. You cannot boast in 0. Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received from us, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received from us, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. First John 1:8. If we say we have no sin, we are DECEIVED and the TRUTH is not in us. Self righteousness is not Gods perfect righteousness. Second Corinthians 5:21. Romans 4:6. Galatians 3:3. Romans 5:19-21 For as by one man Adam, sin entered the world, so by one, Jesus, obedience many shall be made righteous. Where sin abounded GRACE much more abounds. We have received the perfect righteousness of God. Romans 4:6 Colossians 3:3. For ye are dead but alive unto God. Should we use grace as a license to sin? No. But when we sin, (and we all use grace for a license,) but when we sin, grace abounds. We have a sinful nature until we die. The new birth did nothing for our first birth. Ephesians 1:13. Romans 4:6. Self righteousness is pride. God hates pride. Humility confesses with Job that we are not perfect in the flesh. If I say I am perfect, I condemn myself with my own mouth. Only a sinner saved by GRACE. Romans 11:6. First John 1:8. First John 1:10. Sorry, I get carried away. My 83 year old fingers never stop. Acts 16:31. Period.
I don't think that after we're born again we have a sinful nature. Corinthians says anyone that is in Christ is a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold all things are new. Our old man is gone or sinful nature we were born with. But now our spirit is new. We have a new nature and to prove it, I guarantee you the things you did before you were born again and it didn't bother you, they bother you now if you mess up and do them. Our nature is changed but the problem is that we have an unrenewed mind and have to renew our mind to the word of God like it says in Roman's 12:2 and that will be the rest of our lives till we go be with him.
Flesh =/= spirit We still have a sinful nature in the flesh. We wrestle with it everyday as we try to walk in the spirit. Once we get to Heaven we will have new bodies and no more sin nature.
you are a big liar, show me your glorified body? being born again is being born from the Holy Spirit and not from flesh( sin nature). you have still your earthly body until death or the rapture of the church. 1 John 1:10.
Hebrews 10:39 clearly says , but we are not of them who draw back unto perdition . Perdition is the broad road to Hell. Not going home to be with the Lord. If a Christian is living in unrepentant, Unconfessed, sinful lifestyles in the world. They have drawn back unto perdition.
It is in the greek, we however are not of rhose drawing back unto destruction but of faith to the preserving of the soul. Salvation cannot be lost but trying the soul can be ruined by going back to the world, the same is said in the epistles of peter and James, you can die by going back to the destruction of worldly loving.

But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. (19) Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. (20) Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: (21) For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. (22) Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

What does it look like to fully surrender/concede to that to you?
It means that in all things that you do, apart from stumbles, you are lead into by Him. You do not have an opinion, as the words you speak are His. I hope that helps.
Hebrews 13:5. And be content with such things as ye have, for He hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU. First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Romans 1:16. Galatians 1:6-9. Ephesians 1:13-14. Our guarantee of eternal life. Ephesians 4:30. Romans 8:9. Without the Spirit there is no salvation. With the Spirit we are a child of God forever. John 1:12. Romans 4:5-8. Faith apart from any works. Faith is not a work.
And, the GIFT of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23. Not faith or a reward for good behavior, but a free gift.
Romans 3:26-28. For He is the JUST and the JUSTIFIER of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded By what Law? By the law of works? Nay, but by the law of FAITH. Therefore we conclude a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH apart from the deeds of the Law.
Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. You cannot boast in 0. If there was a law given, that could save us, then Jesus died for nothing. Galatians 2:21.
Galatians 1:6-9.
Acts 16:31. Period.
in Hebrews that is to israel they relied on sacrifices apart from Christ there are no more sacrifices
Sounds a lot like election to me
I don't think that after we're born again we have a sinful nature.
Flesh =/= spirit
We still have a sinful nature in the flesh. We wrestle with it everyday as we try to walk in the spirit. Once we get to Heaven we will have new bodies and no more sin nature.
Read Romans 7 14-25.

you are a big liar, show me your glorified body? being born again is being born from the Holy Spirit and not from flesh( sin nature). you have still your earthly body until death or the rapture of the church. 1 John 1:10.
Pretty basic. If you take the bible literally then we know hebrews is written to hebrews and not the body of christ
Spot on, but not to the free gracers - they will distort the word of God in any and every way possible to make their idol of OSAS stand strong
@@samueljohannesen9152 look up the meaning of perdition?.
@@inpursuitoftruth4905 do you know the difference between BIRTH and GROWTH? you keep on sinning again and again, dont lie. Believers who don't repent will be chanstened by God but they are still his children's.
@@Donasavedbygrace Do you know the difference between discipline and judgment.
Explain this away as only discipline:
Rom 11:17-22 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; (18) Boast not against the branches.
