Connecting with Professionals: Wei Sun

Dr. Wei Sun is the Co-Founder and CEO of AIWaysion, Inc. AIWaysion leverages technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and edge computing for safer and more efficient transportation. He has a Ph.D. in transportation engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor's degree in transportation engineering from the South China University of Technology. Dr. Sun’s active research fields include edge AI, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation data analytics, and traffic operations and safety. Dr. Sun is the PI for the ongoing U.S. DOT Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project about “Edge Server-Based AI Application for Dilemma Zone and Traffic Conflict”.
