I'm going to be anxious for the 71 442 kit to come out because since I have a bunch of 72 Cutlass/442 kits it'll be a snap of borrowing the back bumper to make an accurate 72 442 hardtop, the Modelhaus resin bumpers work just as good too!!
The clearcoat really brought that color out! Looks fantastic! I can't wait for the Revell 71 Cutlass 442 to hit the shelves. Going to build about 6 of those!
I was actually starting to collect a few cars and try make them into say Americas fastest list lookalikes, but then I seen this CHANNEL and I wouldn't be able to compete...all your work is top notch...from the outside, inside, under, everything...I have absolutely no chance... On the positive side I have a nice collection of my favourite cars...elcamino , Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet c 10...I'm just looking for a Chevrolet 11.... Your work is out of this world... ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT....
Seeing the quality of this kit and how hard it is to find a Johan kit these days that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg it makes me even more excited for when Revell fully releases their 71 442 kit. I believe they’re only selling them in Europe right now with a few you can find on eBay being shipped form France or Germany. That was how I got my hands on one. Regardless of the quality of this kit you do make it look very nice. Great video
Interior looks great though that brown is a tad dark for the ‘buckskin’ interiors that were common back then. Your patience and research is quite inspiring.
I enjoyed this video even if it isn't a Mopar, LOL. The music was okay but somewhat distracting when you would change the volume levels. I think just having the music and keeping it at the same volume would be better. Thanks again for a great start to a Saturday morning.
Thanks for that tip to mix the paint and thinner with the finger on top never thought of that for mixing. And is that a badger airbrush if so what model I like that it is similar to the same as my regular paint gun I use to spray real cars with thanks
@@TheMuscleCarModeler Beautiful color, I was thinking Agean Aqua, but we know GM was famous for same paint / different names across the different divisions. Kinda like 1965 Evening Orchid - Chevrolet vs Iris Mist - Pontiac. Really beautiful work!
Great tips and techniques, that's going to look great! P.S. I'd rather watch without the music. I'm a bit "hearing challenged" and sometimes I can't hear what you are saying when music is playing. Just my two cents, others may prefer the music. I'll still watch either way.
Thanks. I’m playing around with it. I lowered the volume on the music when I make minor comments. I paused the music when I was saying something that may have been more important for the viewer. Thanks for the input!
@@TheMuscleCarModeler, Ok, I wanted you to know that you didn't need to struggle with getting music for me. Hopefully, others will reply so you can get an overall opinion, and possibly that may save you some time and effort.

I’m looking forward to two kits myself.
Always look forward to these videos ... thanks Raoul

Coming along nicely Raouel! Great tip on removing the overspray. Interior looks great. Thanks for sharing. Happy days and model on! 😎🇨🇦

Looks fabulous, the exterior color goes well with the interior! 😇👍🏼

Thank you!
I recently painted the 64 Olds Cutlas conv. in Quasar Blue metallic with the same color interior as yours.
Awesome blue and nice gloss.
Very cool. Thank you!
Looking good! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I'm looking forward to that Revell kit!
Great looking Olds! Can’t wait for Revell to come out with the 71’. Great trick for removing overspray.👍
Thanks?
Me too .. I don't know if it's a new tool but I hope it's good
@@robertnussberger6449 I think I seen another guy post a video from a show Revell was at and I do believe it’s an all new tool.
@@bigchef2112 let's hope so revell has made some pretty good kits though out the years ... now if they can just get them to the shelves
The Revell kit is a modified version based off the 72 Hurst Olds Pace Car convertible kit.

It’s funny but my 71 Chevelle had a dark brown interior much like this color but a 70 Chevelle had a lighter brown that looked much better!
Nice blue

I have a few Badger Air Brushes. This one you see here is a Grex Tritium Air Brush. I love it.
Do you use the mineral spirits to clean the airbrush between colors? The main reason I dislike using my airbrush is the cleaning
Yes. I also use carb cleaner.
do you spray any clear coat's on the body.or how many coats.maybe 2 coats ove clear spray sealer.
I spray many of my builds with clear coat.
That's a great body color, what is it?did I miss it?
I used Scale Finishes, Oldsmobile 39 Capri Aqua. It’s a factory color for 71. I mentioned it in the video before this one.
