WORK OUT WITH ME + TALKING ABOUT MY WEIGHT LOSS | Hello October

  • Work out with me and talking about my weight loss. This weeks work outs are super easy at home work outs (that are also low impact so could be perfect for shin splints or if you live in flats/apartments) and I also talk about the new addition to my cardio routine and changes I've made over lockdown.

From an *almost* psychologist's perspective, i was blown away by how sensitive and thoughtful you were talking about your weight loss journey. It's so easy to fall into rules and do's and dont's when it comes to food and exercise when in reality that can be so dangerous for our mental health. You managed to stay away from that and promote such a heart warming approach to self love. Thank you so much for this ❤️

I feel a little silly commenting. I‘m sure that I’m closer to your mom’s age than yours. That said, I think you are delightful and I have enjoyed your videos for years. I have marveled at your growth and maturity over that period of time. I echo the sentiment that young women are fortunate to have grounded and sensible role models like you. I have struggled with body image issues, disordered eating and over exercising for most of my life and can attest to the toll that it takes on your psyche and body. You offered the most practical, helpful, and encouraging advice on healthy living that I have ever heard. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experiences. You are thriving, and I am very proud of you and happy for you! 🦋❤️🙌🏽🤗😘

So refreshing to see a young woman state out loud that fitness and body transformation should be a gradual long term approach to a healthier, happier lifestyle. I for one am sick and tired of seeing these quick fix 6 week shred to abs videos Grrrr. Really hope you inspire others to take this approach 👏👏👏

I really appreciate how you handled this topic. I think it’s actually great to hear someone talk about weight loss as a byproduct of loving/caring for your mind and body instead of it being the main goal or only reason to work out. Thanks for sharing

It's nice to see a true weightloss story which is healthy and sustainable, and seemingly driven by enjoyment too. You look wonderful either way but you clearly feel much better now which is great. You addressed this so responsibly for younger or sensitive viewers 💕xx

What I took from this video was a ‘enjoy life’ type of message and I am here for it. Enjoying life in different aspects and areas. Lifestyle and mindset changes that might take time, but we should enjoy and respect the process, and make it as personal and individual as possible, closer to who we are and want to be and not a reflection of one another. Thank you for this beautiful message.

Just want to say, I’ve been getting more into your videos since quarantine and enjoy you more with each video. Especially in how you’ve shared yourself over the last couple months, I’ve just been thinking how you are such a beautiful human. Also, a few months ago you really inspired me to start my own fitness journey because I wanted to find a confidence like what I’ve seen growing in you. And it’s refreshing to hear someone recommending a long moderated journey over instant gratification - again, part of what makes you such a beautiful human. 🙂 Sending love (and sweat) from Dallas, TX. 😅

It's rare for someone with your following to talk about these topics in a truly healthy way but this video makes me so happy 🖤 I'm sure you're going to inspire a lot of people to love themselves in the body they have now but also take care of themselves in a way thats best for them whether thats lowering their stress levels or finding a new thing they love to do with friends. 🖤

To be honest, talk about weight loss or body shape etc can be hard for me but your chat in this video was not at all, and I feel like I’m so on board and on the same page of how you view health and exercise etc. So thank you!!! The blogger/influencer industry is not perfect when it comes to this so I’m glad you did this video.

Completely agree and tbh as a viewer when I see those comments I also get frustrated at the still prevalent obsession people have with weight loss still in 2020.

I absolutely love this! I had a lot of eating disorder issues in the past and seeing people's weight loss is only like 2 weeks weight loss and it's not healthy at all. It's best to start a better and healthy way of living being more active, eating better. And the results will appear in time. 6 months or more not 2 weeks challenge. This was great! ❤

I loved this video. I've been on similar journey the past year and a half myself, trying to find out my own routine and what works for me. I 100% agree that balance is a key and you've to do what you think is right for you. Also, it's an amazing change to hear someone say they enjoy cardio, because not many people around me do and I think it's amazing. One things I'd like to know if whether you find skipping affect your knee/ankles in any way? Love watching your videos, always boosts my mood after work day. xx

THANK YOU for not sharing click bait and false information on fitness/exercise that targets insecurities of women! I see WAY TOO MANY "get rid of hip dips" "Make hips curvy and wider" "get a booty in 30 days" videos on youtube that women actually do flock to in hopes of improving their figures. Want a great body? Lift weights, get your heart rate up, eat balanced meals, choose routines YOU can do for the rest of your life.
For me I was running around NYC and lifting weights at the gym for an hour a day and walking a ton during work. I then switched to just walking 3-4 miles a day (nothing crazy) and lifting weights but with a little less intensity because all I have is a barbell and plates. Resistance changes that body more than anything but its valuable to address everything (yoga, mobility, jumping, running etc) Just do things that care for the body and it will pay you back in dividends especially as we age.

I don't know anyone here in the UK with aircon. We would only use it a few days a year!! Xx

Very few people in the UK have aircon. That's why we all complain when we do have the odd week of 30 degree weather. The heat is also humid not dry which sucks.

Are you going to put central air conditioning in or stand alone air conditioning in your house.

British people generally don't have AC at home. It's usually not hot enough for long enough to install it.

The workout video is nice but really hard to follow and do it with you because it is in accelerate. Next time could you leave it normal speed. Thanks!
