Today, I will explain in Hindi How to use cp command in Linux with Examples, cp command is a short form of copy, and used to copy files and directories in Linux.
You can use cp command in Linux/Unix based operating system including centOs, RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora, Kali Linux, and Arch Linux, etc.
I know how to copy files in Linux by using cp command, but on same when I tried to copy Documents directory, and I got the following error “cp: -r not specified; omitting directory ‘Documents'”

I hav a doubt let's say there are 2 files A and B and I want to copy something from A and paste it in B but not by replacing wat is in B wats the command for that??
I have done same thing for copying the file as u said , but it is showing -r not specified omitting directory , so wht is the reason for tht ?
Your are going to copy a directory so you are getting this error,
use cp -r
