Nice video Nick. I was born and raised in Liverpool, lots of family still there and on the Wirral. Weird thing is, I hardly ever went over to the Wirral!
The Wirral actually looks very well to do and up market, it looks like the people really take pride in looking after that place. The Wirral has stunning looking forest and woodland plus rural countryside. A beautiful place by the sea with some lovely landmark buildings. I really looks like a lot of place in Ireland that you'd most likely find outside the cities. It looks like a place i think I'd love to live as I don't like big cities prefering to live on the outskirts of town/city.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing. We moved to the Wirral from Liverpool when I was 3 years old, that's 59 years ago. The best thing my Mum and Dad ever did for us as a family was that move to the Wirral.
That was fantastic wonderful speechless 😶 the music was just wonderful for that video. We love the Wirral we often walk to Hilbre wonderful you do them so well have you got another name besides Mr Drone Man 👨 We just love your channel videos are getting better all the time.GodBless.and heartfelt wonderful.🏴🏴🏴🏴🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲🍀🍀🍀🍀
What a fabulous Video portraying a fabulous peninsular and all its secrets. Not just that but a great choice of music too, always a winner is P I T's 1812 Overture... may thanks for making this and sharing.
Hello. I enjoyed your pleasant and well-made video. Personally, I feel that you could have left out the muddy and unimpressive cascade in Arrowe Park, and the disused and neglected old fountain at Eastham ( if that's what it is), and put in some shots of Thornton Hough, Brimstage and Oxton, maybe. One gripe: Wirral is not a town. Wikipedia describes it as 'the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral,' but, of course ' my home borough' doesn't have the same ring to it! That's the English teacher in me coming out. But thank you for reminding me of the lovely places on the Wirral.
Quite lovely. It's one of the many places I would love to visit one day. My great-grandfather was from Wales and laid one of the memorial stones in the Welsh Wesleyan Chapel in Birkenhead in 1875.
Well shot and a nice edit too. As a fellow drone pilot, I know a lot has gone into this video. The Wirral is the best place to live too. Thanks for sharing.
Moved here 20 years ago from North Wales and would never leave. We have everything (except the mountains) in one small peninsula - absolutely love it. Thanks for the great video.
Brilliant footage of somewhere we all take for granted. To see it from so many different angles and perspectives really changes how you look at a place in future. Definitely one of your best videos.👏👏👏🎥😎👍
@@misterdroneuk surprising how many times you can walk past the same place and then see it from a drone and notice completely new things just out of eye sight.🥴
Loved watching that. Great to see familiar places from a different perspective. Thanks for sharing. Makes me realise how much I miss the Wirral..always 'home'
I am a massive Blue and love all of your footage of the new Everton stadium and I have watched lots of your other videos but as a proud Birkenhead born & bred resident that is by far your best work mate imo even down to the location of your intro & outro I usually just view content for myself but this is one video I will be sharing 👏👏👏

brilliant what you put together of our beautiful wirral.i moved from livepool in 1978 to greasby ,did you know its mentioned in the doomsday book .not living there now but loved my years there. some more footage would be lovely to see .x
That was great . I really liked the the golf course , perfect , it gave it that eerie feeling . The boats lying at low tide , maybe you should have had one at high tide as well , Really good , well done
I saw my house in that video. 😁. The Wirral is one of the most diverse areas of England having countryside, varying types of coastline, towns, villages, docklands and a thousand years of recorded history. Sandwiched between two cities with totally different types of attraction yet being a peninsular we even have our own micro climate. So grateful my parents moved us here in the 70s. My dad loved the fact he could see the open and unobstructed sky on his commute to work. Not something he had ever had in London. Thank you for showing us a different view.
Superb! From age 11 to 21, I holidayed every year in Wallasey village, with my aunt and family. We were told that every where was either too far or closed. Instead, we took the ferry or underground over to Liverpool. This video has both surprised and inspired me.
That was amazing, some of these places didn't even know where there, at the end was in tears listening to the 1812 playing in the background, brought back memories of my brother who always had this on his record player many years ago driving the rest of us nuts!
A splendid compilation, Nick. Delightful photography and carefully judged editing, making the most of music that probably didn't have the benefit of these locations to inspire its writing. 😉
Fantastic, I'm sharing this to friends that have never been to The Wirral. When people ask where is The Wirral and we then try and explain, we are not just a little peninsula near Liverpool. We can say there's so much to see and do and covered with amazing history...x
That's it, now subscribed lol Worked night security in "The Palace" before "Mr Wilkes" (if memory serves me correctly lmao) knocked half of the roof down and brings back a lot of childhood memories growing up in Liscard. Thank you for the unique perspective.
Excellent Nick. I think in the long term I'd enjoy your travelogues more than the stadium build - more variety, more to see. I took the Mersey Explorer today, Wallasey town hall is striking, plus good waterside view of the new stadium.
Great video, visited part of the Wirral this year, mainly Woodside U Boat and the New Brighton Lighthouse. It's a really lovely place. Will be back for sure and get a view of the things you showed here.
Excellent presentation. Loved the pics of Prenton Park. In a future presentation could you include A - the Church on Church Rd, Tranmere (next to St Catherine's Hosp), & B - the Scout Hut at the corner of North Road/Borough Rd (as The Boy Scout Movement had it's Inaugural meeting worldwide to form the movement, 7/8th January 1908, in Birkenhead, upstairs in what is now a Primark building - with Lord Baden-Powell in attendance, in Grange Road), C - The Scout memorial near the bus stops, outside Arrowe Park Hospital entrance (and the main gates displaying crossed 'Arrows' which commemorate the 1929 - 3rd World Jamboree of the scouting movement in Arrowe Park - on the 21st anniversary of its formation), also D - views of Storeton Woods / the M53 side, as this is now confirmed as the location of the Battle of Brunanburh in 937ad (in Bernard Cornwell's words - before the battle there was no England - after the battle there was - book 13 of The Last Kingdom series 'War Lord'.). Nearby Red Hill Road is said to be so named as the road ran red with blood afterwards, 'Never Greater Slaughter' as recorded in the Anglo Saxon Chronicles.
That was really well done. Loved the views around Parkgate - that is always a go-to place whenever I get back to Liverpool. Have never seen the Bidston Windmill before - looks a bit dilapidated. Hope it is properly looked after. Certainly a lot to see on the Wirral. You got photobombed by a lot of birds, especially around Hilbre Island.
Thanks very much. The windmill is actually in quite good condition. Might have been then weather conditions from when I took the video that day that didn’t help. Thanks again
