Had many a Holiday on Brighton in 1960's and 1970's. It has an amazing History and I really must visit again soon. Great programme highlighting Brighton's ups and downs.....but it's definitely up again now 👍.
There’s even less of the West Pier left now. People like me who’ve lived in and around Brighton for the last forty plus years, have watched it gradually disappear over that time.
What people need to realise is Brightonians see themselves as a cut above mostly everyone else in the UK for these specific reasons. We have a premiership football team, Brighton races and the dogtrack out Hove we are a seaside town with arguably the best pier in the country our beach is iconic, we have the lanes even today some Antique shops and a few jewellery shops remain the town centre for shops is top draw, more pubs than you can count amazing nightclubs and 20.000 students dotted about loads of Georgian architecture and not forgetting a royal palace in the pavilion. And none of us go for that London by the sea, this is B-right-on and if you can name me anywhere better in this sinking country I’d be pleased to hear it…..ps. Saltdean lido and I nearly forgot the i360 and Quadrophenia
