Always practice and dont get pressured by other riders to do anything more than your skillset and your capabilities. Always practice to be the best, keep it slow for a while, no need to motogp, at all.
Facts!!!!! To add to what @Fireflycbr said. I have been riding bikes for 40 yrs both track and street. Never ride above your skill set and comfort level especially on the street. You need to be aware of everything around you, keep you head on a swivel, ride defensively and never give in to peer pressure of other riders. You do you!!!!! Welcome to the 2-wheel family!
I started on a CBR600RR, sometimes I regretted going that route but it was a decent bike to start on. The reason for regret is more like, you don't experience the nimbleness of like a 300cc, you don't feel the difference between a 300 and a 600 which is a enjoyment itself. Than going from a 600 to a 1000 is another new world, which makes you appreciate the 600 on a different way. I got a WR450F supermoto when I had the CBR, the nimbleness is great and a new experience which makes this hobby so great. People say getting a 600cc and a year later a 1000 is a waste of money, but if you shop second hand you barely lose money if you keep it decent. I lost 50 euro's when I sold the CBR, but the rear tyre was bold and I laid it down twice at stopped speeds so I can't complain.
My first bike was 2023 GsxR 1000, first bike I have ever ridden. My first year I took it easy and learned and still learning to this day but way better than my first day on the bike:
I also have a '23 GSX-R1000. Certainly not my first bike, but if you're emotionally intelligent enough it's really not an unreasonable bike to start on.
I hate how people speak about purchases like finances isn’t a thing. I started on a liter bike also because I couldn’t afford to the “starter bike” method. I knew the bike I wanted & I only lacked street experience. If you know the bike you want & don’t treat the road like a track, you’ll be fine. Just don’t forget motorcycle skill is perishable, so practice & once you think you’ve gotten good, practice more. The bike is only as safe as the rider. Keep your head on & the rubber down my friend
@@Scatterbro I can’t afford more than one motorcycle right now. Was I supposed to wait until I finally sold the little bike I didn’t want to begin with to buy another bike I also don’t want so I can finally ride my dream bike? It’s not like I want a turbo busa & im not saying people should buy h2s cause the want a liter bike. But, if you know from experience that you won’t be satisfied with smaller cc bikes why waste that money? I don’t have it like that. I could have spent $10k on a starter bike & id have spent half the money to own my liter bike. So it can be stupid in your opinion, but financially for a lot of people “beginner” bikes makes no sense cause most people can afford more than one bike. If I could, of course I’d have a smaller cc bike & I would train all my friends & associates on it, but all I could afford was my dream bike so now I ride a ‘21 fireblade & I don’t regret it a single bit no matter how stupid you think I am.

Just got my first "street legal" bike 2 weeks ago. GSXR 1000. Riding has been a blast. Know your limits stick to them and take things slow. People laugh when i say i got a 1000 for looks and sound not for the speed. I have a blast every ride. Enjoy the bike and stay safe 🤞🏾

Oh nice, insane bike to start on, to draw a comparison a car would have to put down like 800hp just to get close to such a machine. Still these bikes are very manageable if you practice throttle control and brake control regularly as they brake hard and accelerate slowly (until you get past like 7000rpm) unless you launch them or go full throttle. Something I used to do was to brake harder and harder every time I got back close to my house like 30m from it, when I had a bike with no ABS I would also practice locking the rear as well on closed streets and such to know how that feels. The more you do that the more comfortable you'll become with your bike and it doesn't hurt, you're about to come home, break as hard as you think you can without activating abs and increase the pressure each ride. One thing also is when you get back to your house don't ride into the drive way right away, go past 10 m and do a U turn if possible, do it at the slowest speed (only clutch work no throttle) and try to do it as tight as you can. alternate between right and left side turns, it takes less than a minute to do all these things and they really help. Don't forget to do a tiny bit of counterweight when doing the slow speed u turns or else that whole 200kg bike will tip over if you're not used to it.
@@MCLocsLife Yeah man, I recently dropped my bike on a slow u turn literally slower than a snail and broke the right mirror because of it, I felt a cramp on my right leg coming and I pressed the front brake too hard and the bike was mid turn to the right so it ofc wanted to come to the right and guess what, my leg was cramping up and if my body had been doing counterweight I would've had more time to get comfortable and re center the handlebars. I had stopped practicing counterweight every since I got it. It's not even about getting better because these bikes have terrible turn radius anyways so you don't have to try too hard to go full lock but it's more about being conscious about it every time you do it. If you do this every single time you do a u turn slowly then the likelihood of you dropping your bike at that moment is 0. I had never dropped a bike before so you can imagine how annoying it was. As for the braking it's just a good thing to do, when you get home the brakes are nice and warm not stone cold, the tires are nice and warm so the conditions are perfect to try to practice harder and harder breaking.

I know alot of you are telling him about his mistake of going straight for a 1000cc and I honestly agree that what he did isn't "safe" but I can see from his videos he clearly has common sense, and he knows his limits. He isn't speeding lile a lunatic either. So I'd just honestly say..Just let him ride and we can just sitback and enjoy the content! (And no I dont have a bike......yet)
My uncle started riding on a 1000cc naked bike, now he owns a 1000c bmw cafe racer and a zx10 and he’s give and well and been riding for more than 10 years, if ur careful ur gonna be fine, dress for the slide tho
Bruh these ppl gotta stop. I started on an r1 and i love it. Just cuz ur new to riding doesnt mean a 1000 is too much for you. As long as u ride safe and learn slowly its completely fine
Dropped you a Sub and a like, I've had a few of these, unreal flat out, but never push for the 1st 15 mins, make sure them tyres are warm, and wear your gear , stay safe ❤
Make sure to try the launch control, and get a few track days, your understanding and ability will be forever increased 👊 I'm on a hyabusa now the 1340cc gen 2
I would never recommend someone to start on a 1000cc super sport, that’s just me. I started on a sv650 which I rode for 6years. Bought it cash for $3000 when I was 18 in highschool and sold it for $3000 6yrs later. I don’t think finances is good enough excuse to start on a 1000 because you can find great used bikes for cheap and then resell when you are ready to move up to a bigger bike. Anyways ride safe!
Be carefull tho, thats alot of power for your first bike. i am busy now with my licence and not gonne buy such a monster as a first bike. Ktm Duke390 '24 will be my first bike. and please wear the right gear. full leather suit would be the best option. be safe bro. but have fun.
Cool bike bro, ride safe, if i were u i would get another smaller bike so u have a more comfortable bike to commute around in, just a friendly piece of advice 🙏🏾
I started this year on an 1151, don’t listen to the hate! You already got it, don’t get screwed by selling it and spend 2-4 days a month in a lot practicing slow speed stuff! More rider courses & programs will help too! Master that bike until people think it’s your 10th motorcycle! ❤ from WI
be safe im also a need rider but u should turn ur cam up plus remember once u see those disrespectful riders just give them the road and let them do there thing
I was always told doesn’t really matter what you start on (for majority of people). Just take it easy until you’re comfortable with the bike. Bikes only as fast as you make it go. And don’t these 1k’s have different modes to? That’s also an option but i don’t think people be doing that 😂
You’re releasing the clutch in first way to early, you’re going to stall your bike. There’s no reason you should be fully releasing the clutch at 6-10mph, wait till you hit 15-20
What I've learned is we got way too many choices & if a bike gets thrown your way or mine, we can take it/make it work w/ the intent for whatever we need. The same is true about guns.... way too many but if ya throw one to a man he'll make it work to protect his family just so it fires. Just so the bike fires it too will be used to get done the job before it. I think it's that simple & BTW.... my 1st bike was a Kz1000. Long ago & it was a handful of bike ! Now I've not ridden in over 30 years & I'm looking for a starting bike. You did fine w/ the 1000. peace & be safe
@@user-dv7hb2sc9m Yup, the CHP used the KZ900 and KZ1000 at the time of filming the show, and have used BMW's since then before going back to Harley Electra Glides. El Cajon PD near me also has some BMW's.
Learn something new everyday.... lol, I'm guessing you must live out there & a TV Show Buff? I'm older so I have seen all those as well but never noticed what they rode. And I still haven't looked it up.... I'm guilty. Take it easy >> peace
I see you riding dead in the middle homie 😅 stick to those sides of the lane. Rocks, asphalt, sticks love sitting in the middle so watch out. But beautiful bike man ride safe.
I could be here and be judgmental... but you already know that was a stupid decision... Hope you don't die on it... it would be WAY better to start on a 650 "sports" bike... you would learn how to ride WAY faster... Any way, just remember that the problem starts once you are used to it, not while you are afraid of it. ps: a 600 is way too mutch of a bike already for a new rider (i almost died 5 times on my zx6r as a 1st bike)
Put that bike in B mode, turn up the tc, but most importantly, put some damn gear on. Buying a litre bike as your first is ridiculous, but riding without a jacket shows us exactly where your head is at. Good luck
@MCLocsLife Safety first, brutha. I've owned quite a few bikes, and the L7 isn't a joke. It's extremely underrated. With bolt ons and a tune, it's almost unbeatable 60-130. Just be careful, homie 👍🏿

13 plus years. Stay between the lines. 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Welcome to bike life, and ride your ride. #twodown
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I know alot of you are telling him about his mistake of going straight for a 1000cc and I honestly agree that what he did isn't "safe" but I can see from his videos he clearly has common sense, and he knows his limits. He isn't speeding lile a lunatic either. So I'd just honestly say..Just let him ride and we can just sitback and enjoy the content! (And no I dont have a bike......yet)
👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿💯💯💯🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Ride safe man. Beautiful bike.
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Props to you for starting on a 200 hp rocket but poor decision for a new rider
My bike does not have 200hp. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
@@MCLocsLife ride safe man ✌🏻
hell yeah bro ik you’ll be fine🫶
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I think that guy getting hit was your “sign” and aligns with your “astrology” while matching your “vibe”
Ok. 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
You’re very well spoken, great video man. That bike is awesome, but you don’t annoyed of the loud exhaust after a long ride?
Haven't done a long ride yet with the new exhaust. But I do have some earplugs coming in soon. 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Don't listen to any negativity n ride ur own ride but do also respect what ur sitting on, ride safe brother
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Bro straight up Ignored the sign lol
Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
My uncle started riding on a 1000cc naked bike, now he owns a 1000c bmw cafe racer and a zx10 and he’s give and well and been riding for more than 10 years, if ur careful ur gonna be fine, dress for the slide tho
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I wanna see his progress I’m here for it
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Bruh these ppl gotta stop. I started on an r1 and i love it. Just cuz ur new to riding doesnt mean a 1000 is too much for you. As long as u ride safe and learn slowly its completely fine
👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿💯💯💯🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Dropped you a Sub and a like, I've had a few of these, unreal flat out, but never push for the 1st 15 mins, make sure them tyres are warm, and wear your gear , stay safe ❤
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Make sure to try the launch control, and get a few track days, your understanding and ability will be forever increased 👊 I'm on a hyabusa now the 1340cc gen 2
Don't know when it will happen, but I do plan on going to the Track.
Same here bro bought my bike end of May got my license end of june .. 🤧
Nice. Stay safe 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Thanks for watching and listening. Most of all, thanks for your engagement 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
@@MCLocsLife Hey, I subscribed, I wish you all the best on your motorcycle journey!
Be carefull tho, thats alot of power for your first bike. i am busy now with my licence and not gonne buy such a monster as a first bike. Ktm Duke390 '24 will be my first bike. and please wear the right gear. full leather suit would be the best option. be safe bro. but have fun.
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Cool bike bro, ride safe, if i were u i would get another smaller bike so u have a more comfortable bike to commute around in, just a friendly piece of advice 🙏🏾
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Fucking gorgeous gxsr right there. Ride safe man.
Thanks 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I started this year on an 1151, don’t listen to the hate! You already got it, don’t get screwed by selling it and spend 2-4 days a month in a lot practicing slow speed stuff! More rider courses & programs will help too! Master that bike until people think it’s your 10th motorcycle!
❤ from WI
👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿 Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
be safe im also a need rider but u should turn ur cam up plus remember once u see those disrespectful riders just give them the road and let them do there thing
The camera has been adjusted in the next videos. Thanks, and you be safe as well 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I was always told doesn’t really matter what you start on (for majority of people). Just take it easy until you’re comfortable with the bike. Bikes only as fast as you make it go. And don’t these 1k’s have different modes to? That’s also an option but i don’t think people be doing that 😂
My bike does have 3 modes. I used the lower modes until I felt comfortable with "A" mode. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Nice bro!
Thanks 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿💯💯💯🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
You’re releasing the clutch in first way to early, you’re going to stall your bike. There’s no reason you should be fully releasing the clutch at 6-10mph, wait till you hit 15-20
Thanks for the tip 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
@@MCLocsLife yeah ofc
Hey, can you move the camera up a bit so we can see the road? Thanks and ride safe ❤
Will do. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
good luck bucko
Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
show us YOUR pros and cons about that bike since you are a newbie rider so as i but i have a scootie lol 😁
Thanks for that video idea. I'll add it to the list. 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
@@MCLocsLife thanks man ride safe bra ride safe
Bro you will kill yourself if you dont practice with a smaller biker, life isnt a game bro
Ok. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
What I've learned is we got way too many choices & if a bike gets thrown your way or mine, we can take it/make it work w/
the intent for whatever we need. The same is true about guns.... way too many but if ya throw one to a man he'll make it
work to protect his family just so it fires. Just so the bike fires it too will be used to get done the job before it. I think
it's that simple & BTW.... my 1st bike was a Kz1000. Long ago & it was a handful of bike ! Now I've not ridden in over
30 years & I'm looking for a starting bike. You did fine w/ the 1000. peace & be safe
Thanks 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
KZ1000, that's what Ponch and Jon rode on CHiPs, very nice! Best wishes getting back into riding after your long absence.
No way, is that true? It's possible in HollyWeird but I thought Harley was the only road bikes. Now I gotta know..
lol, thanks man
@@user-dv7hb2sc9m Yup, the CHP used the KZ900 and KZ1000 at the time of filming the show, and have used BMW's since then before going back to Harley Electra Glides. El Cajon PD near me also has some BMW's.
Learn something new everyday.... lol, I'm guessing you must live out there & a TV Show Buff? I'm older so I have seen
all those as well but never noticed what they rode. And I still haven't looked it up.... I'm guilty. Take it easy >> peace
Why is he not using the clutch?
The GXSR-1000R comes with a quick shifter. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
how much you pay in insurance n w who? also dope bike asking bc i have a 750
I got basic insurance for $140ish per year with Progressive. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I see you riding dead in the middle homie 😅 stick to those sides of the lane. Rocks, asphalt, sticks love sitting in the middle so watch out. But beautiful bike man ride safe.
Thanks for the tip 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
I could be here and be judgmental... but you already know that was a stupid decision...
Hope you don't die on it...
it would be WAY better to start on a 650 "sports" bike... you would learn how to ride WAY faster...
Any way, just remember that the problem starts once you are used to it, not while you are afraid of it.
ps: a 600 is way too mutch of a bike already for a new rider (i almost died 5 times on my zx6r as a 1st bike)
@Twisters_R1der Thank you for the advice. And thank you so much for your engagement 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Put that bike in B mode, turn up the tc, but most importantly, put some damn gear on. Buying a litre bike as your first is ridiculous, but riding without a jacket shows us exactly where your head is at. Good luck
Thank you for the tips, assumptions, and engagement 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
@MCLocsLife Safety first, brutha. I've owned quite a few bikes, and the L7 isn't a joke. It's extremely underrated. With bolt ons and a tune, it's almost unbeatable 60-130. Just be careful, homie 👍🏿
insane that laws around the world allow you to have a 1000cc bike as a learner. Australia wer're limited to a 600 max on a learner license
That's interesting to know. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Even motoGP riders still ride small cc bikes to keep their skills up... But what do they know?
Thanks for your engagement 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
i just got my first, 2024 r7 and i already dropped it 5 miles on it😂 be safe brother
You as well. Thanks for watching
hey bro i wish you always be safe ,no one is hating but please be careful 🙏🙏🙏 stay safe brother🙏❤️
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Is your bike shifting automatically??
My bike has a quickshifter with autoblip up and down. I only use the clutch for stopping and takeoffs
Bro please do not try to go fast for a while, and by a while I mean 6 months plus, please I beg you bro, that bike is way more powerful than you can understand brother trust me please just take it really really really easy 🙌
Thanks for the advice 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
i really want one
In time you'll get one. Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Life isn’t a video game, ride the bike you want before it’s over!
Ok..... Thanks for watching 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
My advice is screwdriver grip and dont wrap your entire hand around the bars.
Just looked up the term. Thanks for the advice 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
why everyone telling bro what to do let him do what he wants he will learn on his own
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
You can start on my thing you would like as long as you’re mature and ride alone
Thanks 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
