I'm not gonna lie, I have been to the Everglades once. You can't make me do it again. The mosquito's alone could carry off a small child (news flash I was the small child). The alligators seem friendly, until you pet one, and the humidity makes you seek the nearest body of water... Which is infested with... ALLIGATORS!/🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 Edit: Truth be told, the everglades is a beautiful place. But I don't handle humidity very well and mosquito's love me. Doesn't matter where I live. If there is a mosquito in a five mile radius... They will find me... and they will bring friends.
News flash, those warm bodies a still water is where the mosquitoes thrive. OFF is a hellofa drug, and the right size bonfire will clear out most of the blood-sucking parasites... and the mosquitoes. 😂 And ya have to pet at least one gator, careful it's not your last.
I absolutely love the way you narrate and I truly appreciate everything ypu do for us but i also love your music!! That and your wonderful voice and way with words sets you apart❤
I seriously believe the standard Bigfoot is in Florida as well. There's a park in Tampa Florida. At the Northeast side of town. You can see tree breaks eight feet up. These trees look healthy.
Loved this! We live near Camp Blanding, and I can assure you that there's a lot of cryptid activity here. Mysterious things happen everywhere in Florida, whether it's in the country or the cities! 😳
Jesus that second one was absolutely terrifying. I am so sorry for that poor kid, woman, and her family. Ik these stories should be taken with a grain of salt but the fact that this is ABSOLUTELY possible is beyond frightening. I had goosebumps for the entire story…
I 100% agree... That poor kids entire childhood was permanently damaged and changed for the worst because of a chance encounter with a psychopath! His whole life changed. It's so sad. I wish our bodies weren't programmed the way the way the are. Too many people have PTSD because we have too many traumatic events and relationships. We were built this way back. When we were Cave people hahahaha. Anyway, I hope the kid is doing better now. He survived and helped the police! 💙🤍💙
My family camps at the everglades at least twice a year. We have heard howls, grunts woodblocks and even had something try to open our tent. We usually camp at flamingo. Snake bite trail is very squatchy. It's a long trail near flamingo. But where we get the most action is the long pine key campsite. There is a road that connects from the back of the lake to the next road over that will take you to the abandoned missiles. This road can only be walked unless you are a ranger. It's about 30 minutes of pure terror is you are walking after the sun sets.
I have hiked the Everglades and almost died. Thousands of mosquitos follow you at every step I tried the long pine trail and after 3hours of hiking a huge mountain lion came across the trail and met eyes with me. I decided to go back the same I came all 9miles to my car. I had no water anymore and my mind started to have wild thoughts of sounds following me around from the edges of the trail and then the trail did not look like it had before I felt lost and it was getting dark. I must have run 9 miles in 1 hour I finally found my way back and collapsed in my car after turning on the a/c i woke up a few hours later in total darkness and nearly out of gas. Covered in mosquito bites and white as rice. I made it home took a shower and a week later I went and got a malaria test after calling my doctor and telling him what happened. I was clean but I will definitely never do that again. I have never felt so close to death and in danger.
Second story is horrifying. Don't blame the dad wanting to kill that murderer. Also third story, definitely that 11b vibes of a man who rucked too damn much lol
When background ambience is as loud or even competes with narrator I just have to close out! Sorry the only very low sounds that are tested to calm the most ppl are light rain or soft crackling fire. Those high pitched birds were very distracting! Hard to type...you're one of my top 3 bedtime channels. And 1 video can get 1 to 5 watches! Because I make sure I listen to them all the way through....
FR I am very very rarely scared by cryptid stories(I’ve never experienced one so it’d probably be different if I had) but humans absolutely terrify me. I always try to take things like this with a grain of salt but the fact that it’s ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE for that story to have happened is horrifying. It reminds me of the couple who stumbled on one of bundys victims which was confirmed by him. Dangerous people just feel so much more terrifying because they’re definitely real… I’ve been having goosebumps that entire story and I am so sorry for the poor kid who found that. I can’t even imagine. I hope they eventually find peace and the victim’s family as well.
Nope about shi my draws falling asleep hearing that, never heard it before don't get deer that close 2 hear in Wales (not in my town we don't have deer anyways) 😂😂😂😂 Ffs jumped a merry mile haha
1:00:22 "I covered one ear with my hand, using the other two to zip the tent back up." Lol, what? How many hands do you have?! Did he zip up the tent with his ears? Probably the most believable part of the story tbh...😂
The 2nd story makes me very glad my family had guns. The author was scared to go home in case his family would get hurt. I was once chased by a group of guys trying to mug me when I was walking home from school as a teen. First thought was to get home to my dad because the only thing my pursuers would get out of us is a very rapid and lethal dose of lead poisoning from my dad.
Thanks for the great story’s but the birds are a little loud in my hearing aids. In order for me to hear I have to stream directly to my aids and sometimes theirs sound that come in stronger then others. I’ll try another story and see what happens.
These were some good stories but I kept wondering how many times poor Darkness had to say the word "husband" in the one where they were looking for the big cat that turned out to be something else? Why not give her hubby a false name and give Darkness a break? 🤣😂
Hello Darkness prevails hope your doing well . There is a video in which 2 Researchers vannished hunting the skunk ape a csmara was found with there video footage of what happened to them its truley Horrible Terrifying Stay safe out there where ever you are Hiking camping . Just because it has Not happened to you DOES NOT MEAN CRYPTIDS ARE NOT THERE Yvonne mullion Cornwall England 🇬🇧
Have you ever been there? I live in South FL and I spent many years living minutes away from the Everglades and lemme tell ya just the mosquitoes alone could run off the most seasoned of hikers! They're damn near as big as birds and they move in swarms! So many that they sound like rain hitting your tent! And that's no exaggeration, I've experienced it. I won't even talk about the gators, snakes and dog sized raccoons that have little to no fear of humans! They might be really cute but you go ahead and get in the way of a 30 pound female when she has her babies around! You don't even have to get in their way actually,THEY will get in YOUR way then they'll punish you for it! And when Darkness talks about an 18 ft python, that's easily big enough to eat a person and don't think for one second they haven't done exactly that! Then you have to worry about black bears ,coyotes and Florida Panthers. And last, but certainly not least, let's talk about the wild boars that are out there that can and absolutely will maul you just for crossing it's path,no joke! And these angry things can get up to 400 plus pounds!I'm not saying it's the scariest place on earth but I think you may have underestimated it with this comment.
Big Fan, however the noises in the background were very overpowering and it's hard for me to focus on the story itself... Especially when the birds are squawking...ugh..help ! 🤦🏻♂️
I just had to let you know that those bird noises are super annoying. I had to stop the video at only the 1 minute mark and will find something else to fall asleep to.... bye
When I was in scouts. The scout leaders always scared us with the wompus cat story when we went to pine mountain Georgia.
Well, that beautiful buck isn't so beautiful now! 😢 Like the nature sounds! I love the sound the morning dove makes. ❤
I love how you know we scare ourselves to sleep with these videos
For real, sometimes I get so scared, I can't sleep, but listening to his voice, helps! 😂😂

Pet an alligator, huh? Lmao 🤣😂😅
Yikes 😬 😳 😬 😳
Oh but the ambiance, dahling!
Lmao "Garfield's disgruntled niece" hit me so hard.
I LOVE hiking and camping stories, keep them coming!!!!
I absolutely love the way you narrate and I truly appreciate everything ypu do for us but i also love your music!! That and your wonderful voice and way with words sets you apart❤
The little sound effects really add to the stories!
I seriously believe the standard Bigfoot is in Florida as well. There's a park in Tampa Florida. At the Northeast side of town. You can see tree breaks eight feet up. These trees look healthy.
There are big cats iirc in Florida
@@besoforreal506 Not big enough to break the trees I saw broken.
Loved this! We live near Camp Blanding, and I can assure you that there's a lot of cryptid activity here. Mysterious things happen everywhere in Florida, whether it's in the country or the cities! 😳
Skunk apes are There 2 Researchers vannished there
Camara footage found Terrifying last moments of them
I live in st Pete. Are you talking about lower Hillsborough wilderness park? Out by Wesley chapel and zephyrhills?
OMG, I loved the thumbnail for this episode and the stories were amazing as per usual, thanks a lot Darkness for this video!😁😁
You're absolutely the best! 🌟
I really love the nature sounds instead of the music it makes you feel more immersed I do love the music to but the nature sounds are just so relaxing
Yay 🎉 a long compilation of stories ❤ hope you're feeling better
My favorite narrator ❤ love you Darkness ❤
Dude, I’ve been wishing you would do something more of this direction. I fin love this.
Live my whole life in south Florida here. Been to Everglades multiple times. There are many areas you just kinda know to stay away from!
I love your narration and appreciate your use of the nature sounds in the video. It makes the stories come to life for me!
Love listening to your narration while working. I get jumpy though and scare myself or other coworkers lol
Jesus that second one was absolutely terrifying. I am so sorry for that poor kid, woman, and her family. Ik these stories should be taken with a grain of salt but the fact that this is ABSOLUTELY possible is beyond frightening. I had goosebumps for the entire story…

I love these types of stories so im really excited to listen to this with the nature sounds ❤😊
Love this kind of stuff. Thank you.❤
Thanks, I enjoyed these scary stories.👍
Great stories THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!
The nature sounds are a great addition.
I like them, but I think rain/storm sounds would be better. Like telling stories in the tent or cabin while waiting out the weather.
How’s your recovery going Darkness? Hope you’re feeling ok. ❤❤

The bird calls and forest sounds were great 👍
Used to live by the glades .it's bad during the day .night is a whole different bad alligator. Hogs .snakes .skunkape .and who knows what else

Great stories! Thank you.
I like 4 walls and a roof for a reason.
Can’t do the fake bird background.
LOVE THE NATURE SOUNDS, MUCH BETTER THAN MUSIC 😊
Crackling fire sounds are relaxing
Second story crying about needing closure and justice while there is a family out there that lost their daughter/sister/mother
Nice. Also, very happy not rain sounds. To many and depressing. Good job
Thank you

I believe that creature wasn't upset cause you escaped, I believe its yell was a DONT EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK!!!!
Yaaay! New video, lm psyched! 😊
Second story is horrifying. Don't blame the dad wanting to kill that murderer.
Also third story, definitely that 11b vibes of a man who rucked too damn much lol
I forgot to comment on the video, these were absolutely excellent!
It's like the first dude as never heard of the elusive Tree Deer from American Dad 😂

1:00:20 covered one ear with their hand, using the other two to zip the tent back up.
Love this channel, its great to put on and listen to on my nightly drive to work 😊
Enjoyed it very much🖤

Welcome to the family of PTSD it sucks 😔
Can you do the same without the bird noises? Love your videos/channel btw
Amen someone else is feeling the same way these sounds in the background or just over the top extremely loud especially the birds squawking....agree
Thank god I’m not the only one it’s a sensory overload for me
Great Video!

It's daddy darkness birthday month wish him a happy birthday
Amazing job again! Thank you 🙏 hopefully without the bird noises next time it was annoying a bit there sir.
Thankyou 🖤🧡
Ngl... That deer call made my head flick around. You sly dog you
Murdering humans just aren’t the fun scary that cryptids who don’t actually do anything are 🤣

here in port iorange fl i don t hav any horrible cryptids or pythons or bigfoot tho ive heard of them in ocala area
good work 👍
The Everglades? That’s in Florida right?
YUP!!
You should hire some South East Asians to come to the Everglades and catch those pythons. Pythons are a delicacy for them.
Love your videos
08:37 that sound scared me
I wonder what the swamp people who hunt alligators know of these 'other creatures'
bwahahaha i couldnt help but laugh at the kitty wompus story
Heyy I love your vids
Daddy darknesssss
I can't be the only one that jumped at the deer call in the first story 😂
Nope about shi my draws falling asleep hearing that, never heard it before don't get deer that close 2 hear in Wales (not in my town we don't have deer anyways) 😂😂😂😂 Ffs jumped a merry mile haha
I'll clear your mind with a hike through the woods!
Podcast is dope

I think he said to* just extended it
Interesting stories disturbing 😳

Not a fan of the background noises

Bad background noises
