A bit of context as to why this endgame is so wild (pun intended): • We had removed Buh Bye from our decks for this game to prepare for the next season of Ranked Play, in which Buh Bye is banned due to rules gameplay issues (you can see Blunder's copy off to the side). This would leave Shadow Thief to believe that his Shadows is completely safe during the Roll Phase, since Buh Bye was the only way to remove tokens at instant speed. • This was the only time Blunder successfully gained Shadows on his defense, and if he had survived to the next turn, he had a decent chance of killing me through a Not This Time in my hand. • I wasn't even aware Doctor Strange had the potential to remove Shadows in the Roll Phase at the start of the game - I only had the revelation halfway through after accidentally having the combo in hand. We've talked about Winds preparing itself from the discard using Rings in rules discussions in the past, but I don't think I've seen anyone utilize or talk about this sequence as a makeshift Buh Bye (in part because having access to such wasn't important until recently). Hopefully this play will give Doctor Strange a solid threat against the ever-present Shadow Thief, since Strange's card selection is strong enough that he can see this combo with decent consistency (maybe 20-25% of games). Or maybe we just use this to annoy Diceroys around the world by inducing Buh Bye-esque rules questions!
