Here we go again. The title of this video represents an effort to avoid discussing the REAL problem at all costs.🙄Here is reality: Social media is a communication *tool* , and like all tools...whether it is a hammer, printing press, television, or a knowledge of nuclear physics, that tool can be used by people who may or may not be well-trained, may or may not use them judiciously & safely, could use them properly or improperly, and may choose to use them for constructive or destructive means. Social media is NOT the "problem", per se..instead, it reveals strengths & weakness in humanity, society & culture.🤔Instead, the *real problems* include the following:
(a) societies in which many (most?) people increasingly lack an understanding of the differences between "observation" versus "inference", "gut feelings" versus "evidence", plus "rumours" versus "fact" versus "opinion"/"assumption".
(b) societies in which many (most?) people lack the willingness/ability to discern the veracity/expertise of sources, to search out a wide range of analysis/opinions, and to search for "the truth" or "the best solution"... instead of just winning a 'p*ssing contest' for inflating ego/status/false authority.....and
(c) people who are of questionable morals/ethics/motivations who intentionally perpetuate/exacerbate (a) & (b), and/or use (a) & (b) to manipulate others in order to enhance their own ego, power & profit.
Wrong. Medium is the message.
The MEDIA in general is to blame.

Republicans hate Biden along with all the Dems, but it isn't as targeted or vitriolic.

You absolutely hit the bull's eye!👍👍 Unfortunately, in many nations - but especially the U.S.A. - the majority of citizens have forgotten that 'with rights come responsibilities', and 'a choice to shirk/abuse rights & responsibilities brings natural consequences', including legal ones. In fact, in the U.S.A., there is no such thing as an 'absolute right' (not even the 'Right to Life', as evidenced by the Death Penalty) but that is not understood or accepted by many (most?). The result is that the lack of absolute rights & an unwillingness to acknowledge responsibilities (e.g. understanding philosophy of Sarte & "the Social Contract") becomes a source of grievance to those who naively/selfishly/immaturely obsess over their 1st Amendment Rights and (as we see from the Republicans & NRA) a grossly warped view of Second Amendment Rights. The inevitable natural consequences and/or legal ones don't teach lessons, just become a vehicle for 'playing the victim' & becoming further enraged.🤔
Of course, these grievances are perpetuated, spread & magnified by immoral/unethical opportunists, who proceed to manipulate the frustrated/angry masses by whipping them claiming that they are, indeed, 'victims', promising so solve all their problems, whipping them up in a frenzy, etc. e.g. Donald Trump, MAGA Republican politicians, as well as right-wing propaganda posing as 'news stations'/'newspapers'/etc. Sadly, the very political party & leaders who cause great inequalities, lost opportunities & other legit problems are the ones who steer their gullible victims away from the choices & solutions which would help them the most! 😡

You say it's social media and certainly it plays its part, but Main Stream Media which includes THIS channel is not calling out dangerous rhetoric but instead participating in it and it's 24/7. I think some self reflection needs to take place on both sides but MSM as well.
