Just an idea, Im a young Welder & Fabricator. Instead of cutting that bracket out, you could get some thin material, C&C the holes for the bolts, then drill & tap the actual bracket and the new plate, form it to the bracket, and weld it. Almost as a Lap Joint. It eliminates cutting that actual bracket, and makes it just a bit stronger Structural integrity wise. It's just a thought, also on cloud 9. Could maybe be put into thought and fab'd a little more. But, I don't think it's a HORRIBLE idea.

You can see how happy its made her, and the fact youve built your empire enought to be able to make it happen is just another testament to how hard youve worked. Just lost my father earlier today on Father’s Day. Im glad I can watch this video today we loved your channel and always imagined doing a build together ourselves but couldn’t get to it. He gave me his 2020 Silverado and had a vision for it but never made it happen so I hope I can finish it for him. You inspire me to make all the upgrades and changes to his truck

I worked in a plant that made the middle frame support for those cars the rail that runs between you and the engine… the spot welds pinch it together and then sends a current through the end caps basically melting the the two medals together. Gm required the spot welds to have the groves in it just for Deeper penetration for the weld.

On the aprons or “ fender mounts” you can drill out the old spot welds then on the new one drill a few holes clamp it to the car and plug weld it. Hope this helps
She has the biggest smile on her face it gonna take a while for it to be removed!! As she said SUGAR time lol
Get a good drillbit or use a thin belt sander for those rivets and then you’re gonna need a mig welder to spot weld them. After that, you put some primer on there and a little bit of paint so it looks OEM. there’s an actual machine used for those rivets, but mid welder works just fine. take some measurements before you do your welding and you have everything clamped down that way you know everything is exactly where it should be. You guys got this. Nice purchase by the way!

For the coolant there's a bleeding valve in front of the car by the battery
I've pulled several of my own vehicles core supports out after smoking deer with big ass ratchet straps just like you did, hell I even made my own tabs to hook into place with vice grips for the hard to grab seams. well done!

I've wanted a vette for so long, and leaving my daughter was crying and grabbed my hand and said dad you'll have one someday as i leave in my 02 Sierra with 200k😅. Im blessed, humble and happy that i have a vehicle but it was hard not tear up! Gotta put that work in, cant wait to pull up to pick her up in one someday.💸😁🇺🇲
Once you get it all back together don’t forget your Adas calibrations so all the features work exactly how they should. Not to pricey but it’ll make everything perfect and sensors not way off
