I was STUNNED as soon they showed Ammy's full form in the sunrise, then the game's icon + sequel and then lost my mind when original director was shown. Ōkami is my favorite video game of all time. My hope had died down of there ever being a sequel, but just like the sun, it rose again seeing the announcement teaser trailer. Every time I watch it, I always end up crying. I'm glad this masterpiece is getting the continuation it deserves. Thank you for sharing the joy with us all. Even with Okami being a beloved cult classic aside, this is surreal on so many levels. The studio behind it had closed nearly 2 decades ago, and Kamiya had seemingly long moved on. But now the studio is being rebuilt with Kamiya at the helm again, presumably just so that they could create a true Okami 2, worthy of the first game's legacy. Within the gaming world's rules, this is nothing sort of an actual miracle, and I'm glad that Geoff himself managed to convey that.
"if you truly love videogames like I do.... this moment is for all of us" THIS exact video is the reaction that he, and everyone in the studio was hoping for. Pure joy and excitement and love. Glad to be a part of it.
I've never played Okami, but I've never seen a game reveal elicit such strong emotional reactions in so many people. Tenma of all people saying she's fine with not getting Silksong speaks volumes about how much she must love Okami. I'll definitely try it sometime.
Absolutely do. It's art style is beautiful, it's based off Japanese mythology and is just super fun in general. I've played it countless times at this point, and it's my all time favorite game. I've seen it essentially compared to Zelda a bunch, so if you're into that style of play, you'll enjoy it as well 😃
_Ōkami_ has been in my top ten games of all time since 2006, and one of the very few I consider to be practically perfect in every way. I'm so excited for all the folks who will get to experience it for the first time after this announcement, (which, by the way, the fact this has been announced at all is nothing short of a miracle if you know the history behind Clover Studios and this game's development.) All that to say... you have to play _Ōkami,_ dude. The HD remaster is on pretty much every platform, a damn solid substitute for the OG PS2 version, and super affordable.
Yes, please do if you have the chance! It’s a wonderful example of a game as an art form, with a multi-arc story straight out of an old epic! Simply beautiful all around ❤
I'm almost 30 and legit barely even play videogames anymore. But I've been humming that song and dancing in the shower ever since this announcement happened 😂
@@Xerommit would be funnier the other way around though, solaire saying praise the sun and then amaterasu petting him on the head with her paw since she IS the sun
Okami isn't the most widely recognized game, like an Elden Ring might be, or The Last of Us. But most who played Okami adore it. And it's not just the art and the music. The story themes and charming characters have a way of staying with you. The way the ending made me feel is something I will never forget. It is, perhaps, my most precious of gaming memories.
I never played okami but my roommate grew up with it and recently replayed it, when i tell you she jumped to the ceiling when i showed this to her lmfaoooo!!! Started screaming so hard her voice cracked multiple times saying "OMGOMGOMGOKAMIIIII"
Capcom killed Okami. Let me explain. Clover wasn’t a moneymaker. They made quirky games in an era where AAA was starting to become a real thing. Capcom wanted to take that money and invest it into blockbusters that made shareholders happy, not keep producing games that would be appreciated by a few at launch, but leave legacies that would live forever. So, to justify closing Clover, they approved a game with the biggest budget the studio had ever seen - Okami - and then refused to market it in either Japan or the west in order to “prove” that there wasn’t a market for the games Clover wanted to make. What they didn’t expect was for that game to be the single greatest example of concept-to-product harmony the video game industry had ever seen, and even to this day, has ever seen. Everything about Okami fits together cleanly - its story, its world, its characters, its music, its art style, and its gameplay mechanics all fire in perfect synchronicity to provide an experience that isn’t possible in any other medium except video games. And as Capcom intentionally hamstrung the game by rushing its development and not marketing it post release, Okami began to garner the sort of “game of the year” praise that caused it to eventually become the Guinness World Record holder for the video game with the most critical accolades despite being a sales failure. Capcom was now caught in a serious situation in which they slaughtered a golden egg laying goose. They released the game on the Wii, they made a pseudo-sequel for the DS, they remastered the game in the PS3 era and rereleased that remaster on every platform imaginable, just to try and make up for the crime they committed. Fast forward to the recent past. Capcom, under new management leadership, put out a survey asking fans what series they wanted to see the company revitalize. Okami scored _shockingly_ high on that survey, the results of which are available on Capcom’s 40th anniversary website. In October of 2023, Hideki Kamiya announced that he was leaving PlatinumGames. It can be theorized that Capcom is the reason for that departure, as he was the creative engine behind every facet of Okami’s production. It is _his_ baby. And Capcom not only knows this, but probably feels a great deal of responsibility about how they fumbled every meaningful bag in the industry’s history with regard to that game and the creative staff at Clover. So not only are we now seeing the announcement of an in-production sequel to the world’s most deserving game, but we’re seeing a resurrection of the creative team responsible for it, and Capcom likely knew that it couldn’t happen unless they made the kinds of amends that would align those stars. Capcom is taking responsibility for killing Okami.
Omfg... The last line hit me hard. And it took them 18 years to take accountability and responsibility for butchering Okami... Idk if I should feel happy that Okami is finally getting a sequel or angry that it was Capcom all along that contributed to the failure of this gem...
@@Kerem-mf9oyWe can be two things at once. Capcom can’t take back what they did, but given the effort they seem to have put in to make the sequel happen, I’m willing to give them a chance to do what they should have done the first time. Edit: As long as they don’t pull some greedy bullshit with it, I should add.
Pat Stares At said it best in his live stream of it. All the people Kamiya basically said f off to are likely gone by now since Capcom is under new leadership, so he was free to come back if he wished.
@ I don’t think it was quite like that; I think the current leadership knows what kind of fuckups the prior leadership made, and they have to get away from making what makes Capcom the most amount of money and get back to what makes Capcom the beloved company it is. Capcom has multiple generations of fans, and they’ll alienate all of them if they just stick to MonHun and Biohazard ad infinitum. The best way to solve this problem is to ask fans what they want, and then give them what they want. When they say “we want Okami” _worldwide,_ then you really need to get the man responsible for that original vision if you want fans to respond positively to the end product. So, it’s less about Kamiya feeling welcome and safe back home again, and more about Capcom making sure Kamiya has a welcoming, safe place to come back home _to._ And that’s what we’re seeing. I guarantee you his comeback deal was both lucrative and contractually beneficial for his long-term goals. He’s in his early fifties. As someone in their early forties, I get the need for something both stable and reliable, and it’s a safe bet that he’s going to be there for the remainder of his career.
it's honestly funny how little "mainstream" reactors are here. aside from like max and roger, it really shows exactly how okami had an impact: either you have never heard of it once, or it was there for your BEST childhood years.
Bro I was like 19 when I played it. And it hit right as I was fully into learning Japanese too. Literally the perfect game to motivate you to learn 2000 kanji haha.
Unfortunately, the game is still nearly 20 years old. A lot of mainstream reactors were like 8 when this came out. It being a sales failure on top of it doesn't help. 😢
I have no emotional connection to Ōkami in any way and yet seeing all these overjoyed people is making me cry as if I had a personal stake in it. Same as the reactions to Metroid Dread!
I think more than anything, Ōkami’s return, with Hideki Kamiya directing speaks to how the industry isn’t a lost cause to pure capitalism and financial greed just yet. By all accounts this is not a game that should receive a sequel, because despite it being one of the most creative and artistic games ever, it sold like shit. Enough to shut down the studio that made it. So it’s really a wonderful thing to see Ōkami back.
@adityasivaram6175, but there were many big reasons why it sold so poorly. Capcom gave it zero marketing, the PS2 was already on its last legs, PS3 was just a few months to be released, completely overshadowing the game, and Capcom was concerned at the time with things like SF4 development. And yet, the game was critically and publically acclaimed. This very deserved sequel is Capcom owning up to past mistakes. Capcom owed us, and this is them finally making amends for doing their fans dirty back then. This game very much deserved a sequel.
@ oh yeah I know. Not saying that why it sold poorly rested on Clover’s shoulders. Capcom is 100% responsible. But regardless it became one of those real cult classic games that was a genuine artistic masterpiece. So happy to see it get a sequel. Just that financially, corporates will not see a reason to make this game. But glad they did. Enough to let Hideki Kamiya restart Clovers as a whole for this.
Shinto mythos isn't well known in the States and Europe, so for a lot of us, it was our first real introduction to old Japanese folklore. And because we don't know the old stories, it gave us more room to enjoy this new one. Okami's Amaterasu is very popular for being a kind and slightly silly divinity. ❤
It's incredibly beloved in a lot of gaming circles over here. A lot of us count it as either our favorite game or the game that got us into gaming in the first place.
weirdly if memory serves, it sold abysmally in Japan (relative) to the US as well it really had no time to shine really anywhere and it's a damn shame glad it's getting so much love nowadays
Huge props to the people who recognized the significance of Kamiya as a director back at Capcom. Clovers is back, and I hope they can continue making absolute peak games, but without Itsuno we'll probably never have the greatness that was God hand again.
Now that Itsuno is out maybe Kamiya could be the next person to take control of DMC since the series are in an uncertain place now, especially since I personally think that the best move they could for for DMC now is making a Remake of the first two games.
@@MrVince329 In good hands. People praise Itsuno because of DMC3-5, mostly because of DMC3 since 5 has engine issues and is a bit slippery in places. They also forget Itsuno directed DMC2.
@AirahsELL to be fair, itsuno kinda got slapped into dmc 2 with barely any time for work to be done. When he had joined, the only actually fully programmed thing that was completed was the stinger move and you remember how trash that was. He made dmc3 because he didn't want dmc2 to be the last thing tied to his name so I still have faith in his direction.
@@AirahsELL You're insane if you think it's only DMC3 that people love Itsuno for. People love 4 and 5, only a very, very, very niche crowd has any problems with 5. Most find it the best game in the series. It's not my favorite, but I'm also a weirdo who liked the reboot fine (Story was kinda edgy-the-hedgy nonsense, but gameplay it was still pretty top tier). Also Itsuno didn't really direct DMC2. He was shoved onto the project at the last minute to make it at least function because it was borderline Sonic 06 level broken, the actual director ended up uncredited.
I fell out of my chair crying when i recognized the blooming flowers as she runs out of the forest. The theme was just the icing on the cake! My husband laughed at me because he knows how much i love this game!
When I first saw the trailer, I was too excited to notice the little hints leading up the the reveal. But on rewatches, I realized that I recognized the sound of Ammy's pawsteps.
This is it. This was my Holy Grail of video games I’d love to see but was positive it could never happen. Like take something like Max’s reaction to Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, Arlo’s reaction to Metroid Dread, Emile’s reaction to Thousand Year Door remake, Huber’s reaction to Shenmus 3 and you can see how I flipped out.
Thank you so much for having me in another reaction Ragged Knowledge! This game means the absolute world to me so my tears were genuine and heartfelt. I'm so thankful to be able to witness this game being announced. 🥰
The fact that so many people forget, didn't know, or don't acknowledge Okamiden is precisely why we needed a proper sequel. Okamiden was alright but nowhere near the calibre of Okami.
Okamiden is and I say this with respect....it feels like a sidegrade probably due to the nature of being made for a handheld and thus built on a smaller scope. Than okami
I played Okamiden but it was a game that left me very frustrated. It had a lot of potential but the low specs on the original Nintendo DS which it was designed for meant maps that had been designed for a PS2 game got cut up into 3-5 parts so any momentum the game ever had got cut short by endless loading screens. And a map being cut into 4 pieces may not sound so bad on the surface, just 4 times the loading screens right? But no, the quests in the game were not designed so you could finish them within each section of map, instead (as would make more sense normally) sending you back and forth across the larger maps meaning you'd go through those loading screens multiple more times. It's hard for me to describe just how horrible all the loading was, never have I played a game before or since that made me stare at loading screens as much.
@@Ellert00 the only other game that comes to my mind when it comes to eternal loading screens is Sonic06, didn't know that was also a problem with DS games. And keep in mind Ōkamiden was developed as a spiritual successor rather than a sequel, that's why they added "den" ("chronicles") to the name, more akin to spinoff territory despite continuing the story in its own way.
By the Rising Sun- I'm on the Thumbnail again! Very Honored Ragged Knowledge!🤗 Amazing Reactions for our Sun Goddess Ammy!☀🙏🏻 So emotional and powerful the reveal was, so excited for Capcom & Hideki Kamiya's Promise!

Interesting how the reflector appears right as everyone is getting the most excited. It almost parallels the end of the game where Amaterasu gets power from everyone's faith.
This was literally me. I was sitting in a voice chat on Discord with a bunch of friends so we could laugh at TGA together like we did last year, and I literally said toward the beginning of the show "I'm gonna be genuinely surprised if there's anything in this show that gets me excited." And lo and behold... that shot of Ammy in the field clicked with me instantly and I almost started crying. I'm never gonna shut up about this and my friends are gonna get tired of me REAL quick.
Never played, but I KNOW that this game is the grandfather of “Video Games Can Be Moving Art”. I feel like this game allowed so many gamers to accept this phrase.
Yeah, it's literally the best looking ps2 game, and it did it without focusing on graphics like final fantasy or metal gear, but by having a gorgeous artstyle.
It genuinely brings me so much joy how many people share my ecstasy and excitement over this reveal. Ōkami was my first-ever Wii game way back in 2009-2010, and over the decade since, I have started new games and played it repeatedly for my younger sibling to watch and for us to experience the story, far more times than I can count. The game has left an incredibly deep impression on both of us on an art, music, and story level, and neither of us can WAIT. SO excited!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Dude Capcom this year has singlehandedly made this timeline to be THAT ONE TIMELINE where impossible games like the return of MvC and an Okami sequel are actually a thing.
I was late to the Okami game, only having played it during Covid lockdowns and dealing with my stepsons epilepsy at the same time. This year, things got even worse with his epilepsy and I really, really struggled with everything that went wrong for us in 2024. This announcement is exactly what I needed to lift me up and keep me going, and give me something to look forward to. This game is everything I love. It is perfection to me. It is comfort. I even have a full sleeve tattoo of Amaterasu, Oki and soon to be Issun. I have been watching so many reaction videos and crying everytime I hear The Sun Rises in the trailer. This game got me through so much and I cannot put into words how freaking excited I am that Hideki Kamiya is back and Capcom are finally doing something huge for the fans 💖 we NEEDED this. Thank you, Capcom and Kamiya-san. I wait with baited breath for what the future holds 😊
In order to explain just how big this reveal was to my 15 year old sister, I told her imagine if Undertale 2 came out after 2 decades and at the same time TobyFox came back after the same amount of time 😂
I've played Okami when I was 11 years old and I was obsessed with it. I never met anyone who played it (i'm italian and the game never got translated) and this video made me cry because seeing all this people excited just as much as me about MY childhood game heals my inner child that never got to share their interests with others ❤ The news of a sequel alone made me cry since I never even remotely thought that a sequel might be possible. I'm shook.
i still can't believe it, we're really getting a sequel to okami. is this real life?! okami is such a wonderful, beautiful game, and i was totally sure it would never, ever get a sequel. seeing this announcement is beyond surreal and fills me with a level of joy and emotion that is hard to explain.
I never cried tears of joy at a reveal until this happened. Had no expectations at the game awards and this was an absolute gift. Okami is my all time fav game and to see it back is a dream come true.
I didn’t watch the awards live… but when I heard “Okami” my heart stopped for a second and I immediately searched for proof. Watching the trailer I got chills all over and my eyes got teary. I have rewatched it so many times since I learned about it. We may actually be living in the good timeline!!!! 😭😭😭
Tossing in Ninja Gaiden, Turok and Double Dragon, I was like this damn they bringing everything back. Then this popped up and I was holy sh!t yes! God I hope it does well, if there was a game that ever deserved it…
It fills me with joy knowing I wasn't the only one screaming and jumping and crying when I saw this announcement. I thought it was impossible to see a new Okami game after 18 years, yet here we are, with Hideki Kamiya and a revived Clover Studio at the helm. Truly the sun rises once more!
This is why we love Geoff. Yes he might advertise the HELL outta his award shows but him choking up with this announcement. He knew how special this game was to us. Can’t wait for it and i have to play the game AGAIN! Like NOW!
Seeing that Yellow & Blue bright Capcom almost brought a tear to my eye, the gaming goats have been showing why there peak all year and now they’re finally coming back
I played Okami for the Wii. The Wii was my first console that I purchased on my own as an adult. The game holds a very dear spot to me. Games and music are a way to travel back to the past. Going to have to replay Okami again.
I really didn’t know much about Okami at all until two years ago from this time I got a kitsune tattoo in Japan. Everyone kept asking me if it was Okami, and so last year I got the game for switch to try it out for the first time and IT IS SO GOOD (only like halfway done) I feel so bad for the people who had to wait so many years for this announcement, but oh my god this news right here already tugs at my heartstrings
Every time I see the trailer I tear up immensely. Even though I didn't have the most attachment to Okami in the past, it's still so incredible. I might just have to get the hd version on steam in celebration
You HAVE to check out Snuffy's reaction, it was the most wild reaction I've seen of the reveal. She absolutely adores Okami and lost her mind. Surprised it wasn't in here!
Everyone’s collective reactions remind me of all the people who were part of her journey at the end of the first game lending her their hope and praise so she could regain her strength
The thought of Ammy having no 0 faith and the fans recognizing her giving her her markings and divine instrument back makes me cry like you wouldn’t believe
I love that most of these reacts, it doesn't even register until Amaterasu's defining features appear, but for me, it was when the painted trees appeared with the flute. I was shitting and crying before a wolf was even onscreen.
honestly, reactions like this remind me that truly this community is NOT that different so many of us screamed and cried at this announcement, it's genuinely insane
Okamiden wasn't really a full sequel, though - it was a "gaiden" game, a side-story/spin-off on a portable console. =) It also wasn't directed by Kamiya. Even without that distinction, though, it's been 14 years since Okamiden, and neither of the games had done well. For all intents and purposes, that IP was dead and buried. This is why this announcement and the way it was done - a high profile production - feels like a miracle =)
Okami is just one of those games where even if you've never played it, if you play games, you've heared of okami. And yet despite that, all we've gotten is ports keeping it alive. Omami deserves this
I waited 13 years for this to finally happen... I was about to lose my shit but my grandpa was sleeping so I just settled for hyperventilating and tearing up for like 10 minutes.
I’m so happy to see people truly love Ōkami, shows that the game truly has a special place in our hearts. I cried the third time upon seeing everyone’s reaction, if you haven’t played the 1st game please and I am begging you, play it, now.
If you own a Nintendo Switch, the game is on sale for 75% off making it $4.99 USD. No excuses for anyone who hasn’t played it yet (me included), this is the time to get it!
Y'all when I say I did NOT know about this until this morning, hearing it second hand and then SEEING IT. REALIZING ITS REAL, KNOWING ITS SOMETHING THATS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. I could cry man.
Our queen of the sun has returned...and it's about damn time! All hail the origin of all that is good, and the mother of us all! Dog treats and headpats will be given upon her arrival! ♥♥♥♥
When i saw this i was blown away. Not only because we're getting a sequel, but because Clover is back as well. My hope is that we also get a new Viewtiful Joe game as well after this.
Watching everyone's reaction to the Okami sequel makes me soo happy knowing how beloved the game is. It's in my top favorite games of all time and I'm super excited (my gamertag has okami in it!). I think I'm gonna replay it again.
I have never played Ōkami before, but even still, I was really hyped seeing it come back from the dead, stronger than ever. As a side note, since Hideki Kamiya is back with his revived studio Clover and working with Capcom again, does that mean we’ll FINALLY get a DMC1 REMAKE after the Ōkami Sequel!?!?!?
All those Capcom polls throughout the years that had Ookami placed high up for their favorite Capcom game has finally caught Capcom's attention for this sequel.
I don't know how people didn't catch on that it was Okami sooner. Soon as I heard the sprinting sound and iconic instruments buzz up I was like "OKAMI!!!!"
My reaction to seeing this is as if a loved one had left saying that one day they could return, and that day has finally arrived. I was really moved and I'm glad I'm not alone.
Being someone who’s never played the first can’t overstate how excited i am, watching a gaming legend cone back to life I know most gamers know what okami is based off appearances alone hell yea
Glad HIdeki Kamiya is back and helming the Okami sequel! Now I am stoked for this classic game's sequel to come. Time to play the original and get the soundtrack back on again!

Like Probably many people, i have never played Okami, yet like probably many people, i couldn't help but scream and cry the moment Ammy started running and hearing the beautiful "The Sun Rises" Theme Music playing! Welcome Back Okami!🔥🐕
It's actually insane that this game is getting a sequel, genuinely, so many things had to align for this. The original wasn't even a commercial success! Just goes to show the power and love of the community that kept this tiny hope alive for over 15 years.

_Ōkami_ has been in my top ten games of all time since 2006, and one of the very few I consider to be practically perfect in every way. I'm so excited for all the folks who will get to experience it for the first time after this announcement, (which, by the way, the fact this has been announced at all is nothing short of a miracle if you know the history behind Clover Studios and this game's development.)
All that to say... you have to play _Ōkami,_ dude. The HD remaster is on pretty much every platform, a damn solid substitute for the OG PS2 version, and super affordable.
The HD version is on sale right now on Steam and Switch
I also haven't played it yet but after watching all those reactions to the announcement of the sequel I will change that in the near future
Yes, please do if you have the chance! It’s a wonderful example of a game as an art form, with a multi-arc story straight out of an old epic! Simply beautiful all around ❤
The Sun finally Rises once more. When I heard the main theme I KNEW INSTANTLY
I'm almost 30 and legit barely even play videogames anymore. But I've been humming that song and dancing in the shower ever since this announcement happened 😂
the long winter..... has finally passed....... Spring has returned...... *And so the Clovers grow once again*
Issun would be happy!
The words "praise the sun" come to mind
Where's the fanart?! 😂❤🎉
@@BeyondtheSky8 I need Solaire petting Amaterasu right now! 😆

I hope this game sells way more than the og game.
I love how the hype for Okami was already huge as soon as we realized it then they have to bring in "Game Director Hideki Kamiya" for good measure...
I'm getting so emotional over me and all the Okami fans around the world finally seeing our wishes coming true
I never played okami but my roommate grew up with it and recently replayed it, when i tell you she jumped to the ceiling when i showed this to her lmfaoooo!!! Started screaming so hard her voice cracked multiple times saying "OMGOMGOMGOKAMIIIII"
Then what are you waiting for? Play the game and feel it. It's only 5$ on steam. It's a fucking masterpiece. You won't regret it, trust me
Capcom killed Okami.
So, it’s less about Kamiya feeling welcome and safe back home again, and more about Capcom making sure Kamiya has a welcoming, safe place to come back home _to._
And that’s what we’re seeing.
Same! I love seeing my fellow gamers happy!
Dude you gotta play the first game then cause it is a fucking masterpiece
@ oh yeah I know. Not saying that why it sold poorly rested on Clover’s shoulders. Capcom is 100% responsible. But regardless it became one of those real cult classic games that was a genuine artistic masterpiece. So happy to see it get a sequel. Just that financially, corporates will not see a reason to make this game. But glad they did. Enough to let Hideki Kamiya restart Clovers as a whole for this.
And so does the Sun Rise once again.
-Issun
As a Japanese person, I'm surprised that Okami was so awaited overseas.
It's a cult classic for sure. Amazing game!
It is a niche IP, but very beloved.
It's incredibly beloved in a lot of gaming circles over here. A lot of us count it as either our favorite game or the game that got us into gaming in the first place.
weirdly if memory serves, it sold abysmally in Japan (relative) to the US as well
it really had no time to shine really anywhere and it's a damn shame
glad it's getting so much love nowadays
Thought I was done crying over this last night but here I am tearing up again!
me too, i've never cried to a teaser before. Why is this hitting me so hard
OUR QUEEN AMATERASU IS COMING BACK AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!!! LET'S GET IT!!!!
Shinji Mikami was the one behind God Hand. But yeah I wonder how Capcom's character action games will be without Itsuno.
こんなに大神、海外人気が高かったんだ…!

Thanks for including us! It was a magical moment!
Very Honored Ragged Knowledge!🤗
Amazing Reactions for our Sun Goddess Ammy!☀🙏🏻
So emotional and powerful the reveal was, so excited for Capcom & Hideki Kamiya's Promise!
Hey funny i found you here xD
Hewwo again zorrin
I never thought I'd see okami again. It's my favorite game of all time. When I saw her run across the screen I started legit like sobbing and my bf like had to hold me because I started shaking like I love this series so much and it's coming back and I'm so excited.
Okami is the prettiest game ive ever played. During the drums, and the running, my first thought was "im getting okami vibes from the music"
And i got emotional, seeing that red flame go on top of that dogs back. Welcome back, amaterasu
Interesting how the reflector appears right as everyone is getting the most excited. It almost parallels the end of the game where Amaterasu gets power from everyone's faith.

Man, I missed your reaction compilations a lot. So glad that you returned!
You should try it out. The og titles is $5 dollars on Steam and Nintendo Eshop.
After almost 2 fu****** decades, we finally have it guys ! We did our waiting and Ooooh god I am glad to be alive
In order to explain just how big this reveal was to my 15 year old sister, I told her imagine if Undertale 2 came out after 2 decades and at the same time TobyFox came back after the same amount of time 😂
It's honestly even crazier since Hideki doesn't own Okami like Toby does with Undertale.
It's not the same since Undertale at least was popular, Okami not that much
I was ravaging UA-cam for reaction vids... and then you come in with the CLUTCH!
Thank you as always~
I"M IN THIS VIDEO!!!
I've played Okami when I was 11 years old and I was obsessed with it. I never met anyone who played it (i'm italian and the game never got translated) and this video made me cry because seeing all this people excited just as much as me about MY childhood game heals my inner child that never got to share their interests with others ❤
The news of a sequel alone made me cry since I never even remotely thought that a sequel might be possible. I'm shook.
3:28 YESS!!! Someone remembers Okamiden!!
A Nintendo DS classic 🥹
i still can't believe it, we're really getting a sequel to okami. is this real life?!
okami is such a wonderful, beautiful game, and i was totally sure it would never, ever get a sequel. seeing this announcement is beyond surreal and fills me with a level of joy and emotion that is hard to explain.
I never cried tears of joy at a reveal until this happened. Had no expectations at the game awards and this was an absolute gift. Okami is my all time fav game and to see it back is a dream come true.
CHRISTMAS CAME EXTRA EARLY! 👏😭 i fucking love this game so much
I didn’t watch the awards live… but when I heard “Okami” my heart stopped for a second and I immediately searched for proof. Watching the trailer I got chills all over and my eyes got teary. I have rewatched it so many times since I learned about it. We may actually be living in the good timeline!!!! 😭😭😭
Oh hey, that's me! I'm glad so many people are as stoked about this reveal as I am. The sun rises again!!!
Kudos to everyone who realized it was Okami the moment "The Sun Rises" began playing.
I recognized Ammy's footsteps, those sounds are directly from the game lol.
Gamers everywhere: we want to go back to the golden age
Capcom: OK here, Onimusha and Okami
The PS2 Era was a very good era for Capcom.
Tossing in Ninja Gaiden, Turok and Double Dragon, I was like this damn they bringing everything back. Then this popped up and I was holy sh!t yes! God I hope it does well, if there was a game that ever deserved it…
Now they just need to bring back Breath of Fire and we're golden.
"Yeah its definitely not silksong" got a chuckle out of me
My neighbor next door yelled that okami is back. It's a beautiful time to be alive
Like NOW!
Seeing that Yellow & Blue bright Capcom almost brought a tear to my eye, the gaming goats have been showing why there peak all year and now they’re finally coming back
The moment the shillouete of the dog was shown.. i screamed
ONCE IN A LIFETIME MIRACLE HAPPENED
*ITS BACK*
AND I AM ALIVE TO SEE IT
The king of videogame reaction compilations has returned! Welcome back Ragged Knowledge!
Everyone kept asking me if it was Okami, and so last year I got the game for switch to try it out for the first time and IT IS SO GOOD (only like halfway done)
I feel so bad for the people who had to wait so many years for this announcement, but oh my god this news right here already tugs at my heartstrings
shout out to the people who knew the deal with the naming of kamiya's new studio Clovers
Haha it was the strings for me. I think I link that instrument with Okami way too much and freaked out by that first note...
the genuine, pure happiness not just for okami, but its director also QAQ may we travel with Ammy again!!
1:18 lmao you put yourself in here
honestly, reactions like this remind me that truly this community is NOT that different
so many of us screamed and cried at this announcement, it's genuinely insane
So many freaking franchises just rose from the dead Okami, onimusha, Ninja Gaiden, Turok I never thought I'd see any of these again
日本を代表するゲームがここまで愛されてるのが嬉しい
20年近く待ってたよ、ありがとう
I love nearly everyone just omitted the existence of okamiden 😂
Okamiden wasn't really a full sequel, though - it was a "gaiden" game, a side-story/spin-off on a portable console. =) It also wasn't directed by Kamiya.
Even without that distinction, though, it's been 14 years since Okamiden, and neither of the games had done well. For all intents and purposes, that IP was dead and buried.
This is why this announcement and the way it was done - a high profile production - feels like a miracle =)
@@picaludica It was more of an Okami 1.5 to be exact
Okami is just one of those games where even if you've never played it, if you play games, you've heared of okami. And yet despite that, all we've gotten is ports keeping it alive. Omami deserves this
The IMMENSE chills I get when The Sun Rises starts playing... I owe a lot to Okami as an artist and as a writer.
@ had the switch version for awhile now lol.
Need to replay it again.
Y'all when I say I did NOT know about this until this morning, hearing it second hand and then SEEING IT. REALIZING ITS REAL, KNOWING ITS SOMETHING THATS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. I could cry man.
Okami being my favorite game ever made this super emotional to me, I even shed a few tears when this happened
Shoutout to the two peoples who mentioned Okamiden
Our queen of the sun has returned...and it's about damn time!
All hail the origin of all that is good, and the mother of us all!
Dog treats and headpats will be given upon her arrival! ♥♥♥♥
I didn’t see the initial reveal, but the freaking hype I had when I heard someone say they’re making a sequel was crazy.
It’s a day 1 purchase for me
When i saw this i was blown away.
完全可以體會,這款遊戲真的是代表日本文化的神作
I don't know how people didn't catch on that it was Okami sooner. Soon as I heard the sprinting sound and iconic instruments buzz up I was like "OKAMI!!!!"
My reaction to seeing this is as if a loved one had left saying that one day they could return, and that day has finally arrived. I was really moved and I'm glad I'm not alone.
Being someone who’s never played the first can’t overstate how excited i am, watching a gaming legend cone back to life I know most gamers know what okami is based off appearances alone hell yea
So, so happy for the Okami fandom. They’ve deserved this for so long!
My face still hurts from how much I smilled when they reveld it. God its so beautiful.
Glad HIdeki Kamiya is back and helming the Okami sequel! Now I am stoked for this classic game's sequel to come. Time to play the original and get the soundtrack back on again!
This comp made me legit cry. Glad I sub!
This is the only game reveal to have ever made me cry, I was hype and in disbelief when onimusha was revealed, but okami was the one franchise that I never in a million years thought would ever happen, nor did I ever think hideki kamiya would ever return to capcom, I never even grew up with okami but I absolutely adore okami and ammy, seeing this makes me choke up so much, God is it good to be a capcom fan
Like Probably many people, i have never played Okami, yet like probably many people, i couldn't help but scream and cry the moment Ammy started running and hearing the beautiful "The Sun Rises" Theme Music playing! Welcome Back Okami!🔥🐕
The game is five dollars on Nintendo Eshop and Steam.
You know a game is beloved when the universal reaction is excited screeching and tears 😂❤
"You cannot sit still and retain the name of CAPGOD."
hiiii ragged. Im so glad you made this xd Im a huuuuge Okami fan
It's actually insane that this game is getting a sequel, genuinely, so many things had to align for this. The original wasn't even a commercial success! Just goes to show the power and love of the community that kept this tiny hope alive for over 15 years.
One of my old friends jonic used to love this series to no end we drifted apart but I know wherever he is he's freaking out looking at this
