Live at Finney Chapel, Oberlin, Ohio

Stevie Wonder - harmonica and vocals
Stanley Cowell - piano
Leon Lee Dorsey - bass
Billy Hart - drums
If he were just a harmonica player that would be enough; but there is so much more to this man. Yes a great musician, fabulous!
I see where you're coming from, I'm usually like that....but sometimes when you hear something like this....even if you didn't want to shout, there isn't enough self control in any mortal being to stop it. And plus, it just adds to the feeling in the room, when everyone knows they're in the same boat, all in awe, and the performer is feeling that love from the audience. I know Stevie was feeling the reaction from all of us, and it certainly couldn't have hurt the music he was making. :-]
I even get chills just hearing him through a crappy muffled recording on my computer speakers. Thats how good this man is!!! Thank You!
A most righteous vibe.
Wow, I suddenly feel it all over!
Oh how I wish I'd been at this set! It would have been magical.
Wonderful,great!
Stevie the man end off ❤️
It's all about Soul - Stevie's got tons!!!
Great performance 🐬
I like his jazz performance very much.
And the side men are also good.
Beautiful never again in are lifetime wil we see ste 👌❤️
WOW ♥
As a budding harmonica player, I would love to play like I sing...or even better!:-)
oh, stevie. thank you~^^
Great just wish people in the crows would shhut up and listen. The man is the one and only, only he sounds like that on harmonica, voice as well, piano everything.
Also realize this is an old comment--but have you paid any attention to the fact that during most performances the musician can SEE when the audience is enjoying it by their smiles, movements (dancing in place), nodding, etc.? Stevie can't, so his audience giving him vocal appreciation throughout at the very minimum tells him just how much they're enjoying him. Even with sighted musicians I'm quite used to the audiences 'participating'--and most professionals love engaging with their audiences, even encouraging sing alongs. It wasn't as if this audience was rudely talking DURING his singing--they were merely expressing their wholehearted appreciation of specific things he was doing musically.
すばらしい!ジャズの名曲だけど、スティーヴィーのハモにピッタリだ!
Grandioso!!!!
Wow!
soulfull
Background noise kills the performance :(
Three good....
Maybe you've never been so hit by music that you just had to yell. Too bad.....everyone in the audience that night was hit that hard by it....hence the yelling throughout the recording.
Got it!
TRE MEN DO.
I should've married her... miss you love
To bad the sound isn't better, but the music is awesome.
@ELIJA40 I agree 100%
DGWise, any idea the occasion of the performance?
@NORTHWESTBIKERMART truly absurd. if stevie isn't original, nobody in pop ever was. he absorbed bossa, reggae, funk,r&b,jazz & for 20 odd years & produced the most original pop this side of the atlantic. (i give the beatles the nod for the best original pop ever, anywhere. again and again. on every album. of course, there were 5 of them...for 100 pounds and the LOVELY living room set. what was the name of the 5th Beatle?)
To DGW. I have played the harmonica for 62 years and still can't play like Stevie, when someone plays like he does, I just don't want to miss a note, I am actually extremely gripped that in my case I remain silent and transfixed. No further comment other than some of us just listen, that's why I never speak or shout.
I was in 5th grade at oberlin elementary school in 2010 and we were offered free tickets to anyone who wanted to go see him at Finley chapel, I didn’t know who the hell he was so the kids who didn’t go stayed at school and watched the movie “Up”. I think i mad the right decision 😂😂 it was a great movie😂😂
Lol you f*cked up big time 😂
lol you fucked up big time, missed one of the best performance ever.
he plays the harmonica like he sings :) i find it amusing
I know this is an old comment--but had to respond: that IS what a chromatic harmonica is--our 'other' voice, so it's perfectly natural that it would be so much like his singing. It's the only instrument through which you both blow and draw--try it sometime, see how 'easy' it is. ;)
I find it amazing and astonishing! It so often is hypnotic and puts me in some sort of a trance. 🤔🙄😳🤗❤️
When was this recorded?
As stated in the description, at Finney Chapel, Oberlin, Ohio, May 1, 2010
@@DGWiseso 2010? 🐬
ハーモニカ。
Don't you mean "amazing"?
maybe by itself, but in comparison to their likeness it isn't amazing but interesting...to me
What a poor recording...!!
Yeah, well...it was recorded on a digital camera microphone from under a seat in a church, so....👍🏼
