Beautiful nib holder! ❤ I use my Kakimori brass nib with the Kaweco Sketch-up 5.6mm lead holder. It works great, and I also use the Kaweco for sketching. Have never tried it with any other holder, though, I've only bought the nib. Love how compact it is in my pen case. Btw, love your videos Lori, have been watching since the beginning.😊

@timewithtata8004 Any time! You should, it's very handy. Mine is in an aluminum black, and the weight is great for sketching.
Your new nib holder is beautiful! My only OCD issues are it does stick out a little more and I really wish it had a cap to protect the nib. But I do love it! Very very pretty nib holder indeed. I would love to see you playing around more with that Kakimori nib and inks, as in drawing more, using the super thick broad strokes more! Showcasing more of the variety of strokes once you have had some time practicing with it! You could perhaps write an inspirational quote with it, and choose some small image to copy (not at all perfectly but just as a helpful template) which could be easier and also a fun little exercise (?) than making it up as you go along perhaps? I don't know? Or you could just free style doodle more? You could perhaps dedicate a notebook to absolutely free style doodling? I don't know if you've got a notebook like that yet? Though I think I remember you did say that you do Art classes at pen shows? Maybe you have a notebook like that but are not comfortable sharing it, which is totally understandable, cause I wouldn't be comfortable sharing it either, even though I'm supposed to be an artist, and I love doodling, the point being though that it's no or very low pressure, so showing it is kind of more pressure. Well, I went to art school, and after art school my self-motivation and self-discipline nose dived and I became a full time procrastinator supposedly meaning to get a grip on myself but never doing so, and as a result doing less art than someone who doesn't even intend to ever call themselves an artist in any way. ;)
As much as I love the look of your new nib holder, for my Kakimori nibs (brass & steel) I don't like nib holders that have a metal insert for the nibs. The Kakimori nib holders have the soft rubber insert to slip the nibs into, which I find less brutal (for lack of a better word). I also have the long Kakimori wood nib holder, but have since replaced mine with shorter Tachikawa nib holders, which also have the rubber insert and fit the Kakimori nibs perfectly. Tachikawa also has nib holders (like the T-40 or the T-36P) with a rubber grip section, so they are not as slippery as plain wood. I just checked and my Tachikawa T-25 fits into the same leather case you have, with the Kakimori nib attached.
I can recomend the Tachikawa nib holders, as they are lower in price to the original Kakimori nib holders, and have the same rubber insert to easily slip the Kakimori nibs into securely.

Not sure this is proper to comment on!?! Her other channel LorisBostonFound has an Amazon link which shows the case along with other fountain pens + inks etc. I’ve kept my eye on this case also. Saving for it. Lori has great style on her choices.

Will the end of the pen stain or does it wipe off easily?
It wipes off super easy!
